Morton Inn

So let's discuss reality. This property has by far, the lowest rate in the area. All I needed was a place to sleep, and the Morton Inn provided that. Yes, it is attached to the BP Gas Station/Mini-Market. Yes, the front desk for the Inn, is the Cashier in the Station, you may have to wait for that side of the business to get your turn. Two story with no elevator. BUT... I got free Coffee the entire time, and you can even ASK FOR A SMOKING ROOM! I know, bad habbit, but it is mine. You are only 6 minutes from Redwood Falls, big enough for fast food and Walmart, close to the Birch Coulee Battle Site and about 40 minutes from the Jeffers Petroglyphs. I saw it all, I did it all, and I slept well without any fancy stuff. It's out-dated, stains on the carpet but the bed was fine. Not the place if you need pampered, or seeking something romantic, that's just the facts folks!

This place has the basics. We really just needed a place to sleep. Transportation has to be figured out beforehand, the staff here really can't help you with that, it's basically the convenience store attendant downstairs handing you a key. No elevator so keep that in mind if you need that.

Loved being attached to the connivence store; especially, the 24 hour fresh pizza. Also, the 4 minute drive to the Casino. Our room was half the price

I had asked if we could have the white sheets/ cover as I saw in one picture because my friend is going through chemo treatments. And explained how. We couldn’t have a room that smelled like smoke or was vented to a smoking room. So our room (105) was very nice with all gray white bedding and the bathroom appeared clean too. The mini fridge worked great and the staff in the BP station was so friendly once they all would realize we were there in the hotel. For the price we had a great time and we’re only there in the evening to freshen and shower and sleep as we were attending a Dennis Auslam horse clinic for three days. The room AC also worked well! Comfy beds!

It was an older motel, but very clean, and staff was nice. Hooked to convenient store, got complimentary pop and coffee.

We stayed here for a concert night at Jackpot Junction. We got a free shuttle ride to and from the concert. The Hotel is connected to a gas station/convenience store. When we got back to the hotel we were able to buy snack and anything else needed. We also got free coffee the next morning. Great place, would stay here again!

The Morton inn has a Gas station attached to it, No Bedbugs during the stay. Less than 5 miles from Jackpot Junction casino and hotel. Useful for universeal travels. Only downsides, no other restaurants in the immediate visible area.

Everyone at the desk acted like they didn't want me there from check in to out I saw 3 different clerks all were rude. Nothing was explained at check in, where to get ice, coffee, "breakfast" doughnut that was still frozen and every question was answered rudely like I should know to get ice from the fountain pop machine in the convenience store. Now the room.....If they don't have a maintenance person they need one. If they do have a person they don't deserve to have a job. Holes in the wall, 2 from an old TV wall mount where there was probably a decent size TV at one time. Another hole near the floor, door was loose and didn't feel secure. TV was the smallest I've seen in many years, I have a bigger one in my garage and it's a 32. No electrical outlets? There are 2 in the room all used by the fridge, floor lamp, TV and microwave. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom. I think the fridge was more like a cooler, things inside were colder than when they came out, I turned it all the way up. The bed was ok but what's up with using 2 top sheets? One on bottom didn't stay on the bottom well, kinda nasty when you think about it. Room overall looked clean until you open the window (smoking room). Hopefully dead bugs piled up in the window frame. I had a two queen room for 4 people only 2 towels, but didn't bother using the shower anyway, didn't look very refreshing. Overall it was a place to stay, make sure you use the do not disturb tag. Housekeeping knocked at 8:30

It was easy to find and clean

Air conditioner didnt work so had to change rooms and there was a woman's pair of underwear on the floor so qiestions their cleaning

TV did not work, tried new batteries, still didn't work. No fart fan in bathroom or mat for in front of shower. Was supposed to have a king bed but instead got 2 queens. The place was just run down and dirty.

I liked how close it was to our concert. Beds were comfortable. It had a nice amount of water pressure in the shower. It seemed a little run down. It was generally clean but needed detailed cleaning.

Room smells musty, sidewalk is slippery.

Staff, was great, beds were clean, the only thing we didn’t like was no fitted sheets, the locks on the doors were touchy (didn’t always work) and lack of outlets.

I had to slam the door to my room to get it closed fully. Bottom sheets were not fitted and only partially tucked in. Mattress pad just sat on top of mattress. Poor bedding.

This inn needs some work, from the shower not working correctly to the remote dirty and did not turn on the tv but did change channels, to the chairs with screws half out, to a table that could never be stable and rocked around when ever you would touch it. I am a farm person and i can accept some things, but for the price that was commanded for this room it did not stand up to that price. I will say that a small town of 311 population yo have an inn is great, but please fix these little issues, then i could give a better review.

The toilet made noises all night long. The internet was down so no tv.

I should have asked for an upper floor room as the patron upstairs walked across his room and I could hear it.

No instructions for the t v. Outlet did not work in the bathroom.

Rooms were clean and had all the towels etc. but bathroom door didn’t have a latch to close properly. Shower control was barely functioning but did ultimately work

Internet was not working, tried to reach out to front desk, they had no idea how to fix it. Keycards stopped working after the first night and had to be redone, it was weird they didn’t ask for our identification when doing so for safety purposes. You get one lamp for a whole room and the beds don’t have fitted sheets. So if you move in your sleep, you’ll be sleeping on a bare gross mattress. Overall cheap place to stay but needs some updating.

THIS MOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN. ROOMS COULD EASILY HAVE MORE LIGHTS THOU. DONT THINK THERE WAS BREAKFAST THOU. BUT NO BIG DEAL TO ME.

They needed to fix the lighting outside it was very dark. They need to get staff with personalities..and to serve the guests breakfast not just donuts...

I didnt care that you couldnt shut off the shower to run the bath water. They both ran at the same time. The knob was stuck and tried to move but no luck. Also it would have been nice to at least have coffee in the room or in the lounge area instead you had to go to the gas station store and buy it.
