Quick overnight, but the place was perfect. Restaurant a plus. Breakfast was good. Lots of people, so I expect it’s a good stop for many.

Smelt like dog pee, listed to have a bar but they lost their liquor license

Had booked property for a sporting event in town and “lucky” for us there happen to be live music in the bar that night and we were put in a room directly above the bar. Had a terrible nights sleep.

The hotel was a great deal for the price, very helpful staff, clean environment, super convenient. This was our second trip to this hotel, the first time the attached bar was great. This second time the service was horrendous, the wait staff was extremely rude and demeaning. The bartender was quite nasty and kept insinuating that we were at the wrong bar and that the "gay bar" was down the road ontop of providing terrible service. I will stay at the hotel again, but the bar was not welcoming or pleasant in the least bit.

Room was comfortable. Like parking at the door. Shower was dirty with black yuck around shower door. Mattress leaned inward.

No frills hotel. Nice to have a bar/restaurant attached for convenience. Continental breakfast. A little noisy, but no big complaints.

Very impressed with this hotel. Rooms were updated, clean even though I was in an outside room, there were covered porches all the way around so you were always protected. Parking was east. There’s even a restaurant and bar on site which was very good. Staff was very friendly too. Would stay there again without hesitation

The room we selected was a room with 3 queen beds. That one was booked for over a month, so we did not get what we reserved. Despite having a picture of the bar/restaurant area, that is permanently closed per the sign on the door, even though there is an electronic sign on the outside of the hotel advertising pizza, burgers and cold beer. No continental breakfast despite hotels.com labeling it that way. When asked, the hotel explained they have tried to have that removed. Room was pretty standard the chair was in disrepair and staple scratched my leg. The beds had no support to the point me and my wife sunk into the center like a deflated air mattress. Had a fridge with a freezer though the freezer had to much ice build up to use. One bed side lap had a broken switch so we had to plug and unplug to turn it off and on. There is a city park close to the hotel that was really nice. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and we will never stay there again.

Not a lot of options in Valley City. No elevators to take your luggage upstairs if you’re on the 2nd floor. Staff were very friendly, and it suited what we needed it for.

Everything was clean. The young man at the front desk was very helpful and kind. He got a blow dryer for me and was so hospitable.

Stained carpet, moldy shower, old building smell, run down. The bed felt like it was 30 yrs old. You could feel the springs.

If I could give this poor excuse for a lodging facility a negative score, I would. The entire facility is dirty and ill-kept. The person at the reception desk was dismissive and disrespectful. The entire facility is filthy including the room we occupied. There is ample evidence that the staff is poorly trained and (probably) understaffed as well. The ice bucket in our room was half-full of water, indicating that it had not been emptied of ice-melt and properly dried. There was a half-filled bottle of complimentary shampoo in the room, indicating that it was likely left over from the patron occupying the room the previous night. The bulk shampoo and conditioner dispensers were not secured to the shower enclosure, so they fell to the floor of the shower when we attempted to use them. The ice machine in the lobby was not working and the second ice machine was inadequate to meet the demands of the patrons. It was necessary for us to carry all our luggage to the room because there was no luggage cart supplied by the facility. Upon arriving in the lobby in the morning to partake of the advertised breakfast, we were told that it consisted of "breakfast bars." We were told that "the breakfast food order hadn't arrived yet and its arrival was expected "in the afternoon," which would be well beyond the deadline for checkout even if we did wish to stay and wait for it. We found this to be exceedingly poor inventory management and represented a calloused breach of contract,

Gross all around. Food on counters. Mold in shower. Stains all over

Hallways, stairs, were not clean. No daily housekeeping, ‘for the safety of their staff.’ Right! For the safety of their ‘green’, is more like it. So only cleaning is between bookings. Entered room to find toilet rim covered in dried up urine. So in-between cleaning is also inadequate. Front desk did address this issue, thankfully.

This hotel shows its age. Carpet stains and lack of hot water in morning. Cleaning is very surface oriented.

Place was dirty. Crumbs on floor. Long black hair on bathroom floor. Toilet barely flushed. Sink was plugged: would not drain and had some slimy substance in the sink.

The location of the hotel itself was convenient and easily accessible to the highway and services. However the entrance was a bit confusing. The hotel room itself was where we ran in to issues. Upon entry the room had a musty smell, but at first appeared to be okay. Upon further inspection we found dead flies on the floor, in the little freezer of the fridge, and on the desk. The chair near the first bed was covered in multiple stains (questionable), and the top comforter of the beds were stained up and tattered. There was grass debris and food crumbs in the pull out dresser drawers, and the wall attached to the bathroom had what appeared to be boogers stuck on to it. The man working at the front counter never asked me for any information about my vehicle, nor to see my drivers license which I found to be strange. The only other issue we encountered was the people above us were so loud and it wasn’t just for a short time, it was the entire night all hours, they were stomping around, it sounded as though things such as furniture were being moved around and loud banging.

Overall the stay wasn’t terrible. However, the ceiling in the bathroom had mold growing and the bathroom was gross. The sink vanity was absolutely disgusting. The walls had snot ( I think) and the counter had not been cleaned. You could see where someone placed their cup and had a nasty grime to it. The bed was okay.

Very clean and new flooring. The fan in the climate unit was very loud.

Bed nearest the bathroom squeeks loudly every time someone moves or even sits on it. Please repair it. Otherwise the room is excellent and I very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Air conditioning worked well and room was relatively clean. The beds were not very comfortable and made a lot of squeaky noises when making any movement in the beds so my daughter and I kept waking each other up even though we were in separate beds. Otherwise would have given higher rating.

Overall it was nice and the breakfast was good. However, the room needs some TLC. 1. The shower is missing floor tiles and has mold and water stains around the baseboards 2. The sink’s faucet water is installed backwards (left is hot, right is cold. 3. The mattress is old, lumpy and soft.

The lady who checked us in seemed annoyed by us and she had been on a phone call but instead of hanging up with a personal call she put them on speaker and told them to “hold on while I check these people in”. Also said continental breakfast but that was cereal—very disappointing

Wonderful accommodating staff and well kept rooms.

Worst hotel I have ever been to the white old woman with glasses who works there and has her young son on property told us Expedia gave us wrong confirmation number while she reaked of weed. She called us bad names and tried to physically fight with us for telling her she’s unprofessional her poor son was terrified she refused to be professional and said she hated her job and didn’t care she took it out on clients. The whole place was filthy and smelled of weed we saw her smoke on the property.

Reserved 2 rooms. Arrived, checked in and rooms were not cleaned. Went to front desk, she gave us 2 other rooms and those were not cleaned. Front desk lady was apologetic and said i need to contact hotels. Com for refund.

I came by at my check in time and was told the room was not cleaned yet as they are short staffed. Came back at 4:15 to find the same result. When I said we needed our keys because we had a rehearsal dinner thirty minutes away and wouldn’t be back until after ten I was told there is someone there 24/7 who could check us in whenever we got back. We returned at 11:50 and waited until 12:30 and no one showed up in the lobby. I tried calling the three phone numbers listed in the lobby as well as ringing the front desk bell and walking around the area to see if anyone were around to no avail. We luckily were able to stay at a friends place on the floor but this process and service was very disappointing.

We were traveling through and it was very accessible from interstate. Our room was nice and clean.

Great staff and clean, comfortable room with both a king bed and a loveseat. The location doesn't offer a lot of landscaping beauty, but two good restaurants are close by. And the hotel is easy to find, pretty much right off the interstate.

Nice place conveniently near the freeway and also close to downtown. Our dogs appreciated the drive-up room and that there was somewhere interesting nearby to walk. The immediate area around the hotel is king of ugly light industry but there's little traffic so safe enough to walk. There's also a really nice park downtown about 5 minutes away.

Paint is peeling in the bathroom. Breakfast included waffles, cold eggs, toast, biscuits and gravy. Excellent!

Front desk staff was pleasant - things went downhill from there. Rooms were difficult to find. French fries were on the floor, flies in the room, deadbolt did not work. Beds did appear clean. Rooms in need of update. Picture is not accurate. Breakfast is NOT provided - there is coffee and some packaged pastries.
