The hotel is in good condition and all services were excellent. The layout of the rooms is a little disjointed but manageable. Parking was available and convenient. The balcony view of the Rhine made the stay exceptional!

We vonden het overnachten in een voormalig kasteel een leuke belevenis. Mooi hotel en vanuit het restaurant had je een prachtig uitzicht over de rijn. Ook het zwembad en de sauna's zijn een bezoekje meer dan waard.

Das Feeling einer Burg zu haben, war super. Das Personal war freundlich. Leider wurde die Bar jeden Abend früher geschlossen als angegeben, so konnten wir die Terrasse mit einem entspannten abendlichen Wein nicht genießen. Das Restaurant war mir für diesen Anlass zu laut. Die Sauna war super. Das Poolwasser leider deutlich zu kalt, sogar für meine morgendliche sportliche Schwimmrunde.

The location of hotel Rheinfels is excellent. From this location we were able to visit the points of interest in the Mosel and Rhein valley. It is also right next to the ruins of Schloss Rheinfels which is worth visiting. The restaurant inside the hotel has a great view of the Rhein Valley. We ate there every night and had good meals and service. The breakfast was also great and offered plenty of choice. The hotel has a nice atmosphere, has good parking options both right next to the hotel and on the parking place in front of the bridge. The rooms were clean and were pleasant. I did not experience any noise within the room, although noise on the hallway can be heard within the room. Fortunately we had guests that did not make noise on the hallway. The room offered a nice view of some of the nature and buildings behind the hotel. I was happy with my stay at this hotel, and I can recommend it to others.

Great stay. We spent all of our time in the hotel area, which really is a castle. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was great as were the views from the dining areas. Highly recommend!

We had the most amazing stay, in fact, the best stay in our one-month trip in Germany. Our room was in the villa and opened up to a wonderful view overlooking the Rhine. It was grand, palatial, with a high ceiling, beautifully decorated, and extremely clean. Service was excellent at reception and restaurant. Everything was thoughtfully provided, including tea n coffee making facilities, bathrobes, high quality toiletries, and even bedroom slippers. We felt pampered like royalty, and really couldn’t have asked for more.

There was good and not so good about our stay. We had to wait over 20 minutes to check while the staff member tried to resolve issues with another guest. That was unfortunate but understandable, but I was never acknowledged and when I was able to begin, was abandoned to another guest before completing. Was never told anything about the property including breakfast location and hours or spa location and details. The next day tried to ask the same staff member how to get to the spa and was told she didn’t have time! The good…breakfast was very good and plentiful with a nice assortment of options, our room was as spacious with a nice view. However, the light in the hall didn’t work so it was very dark. The second night we were there we happened to discover that while our bathroom window was frosted, at night you could see right in when the light was on. Since the bathroom faced the parking lot and the toilet located in the window, guests should be aware!

Great location, near the Lorelei. Quiet area, clean rooms, great dining options. We stayed in the villa and our corner room overlooking the Rhine was a great view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definately would stay there again.

L’hôtel est très joli et le restaurant très bien, mais le Spa est très petit, il y a 5 transats dans tout le spa c’est totalement impensable pour un hôtel de cette catégorie. Que dire lorsque la seule douche du sauna est hors service… Dans la chambre, plus de mouchoirs dans la boîte ni de savon dans le distributeur de la douche. Payer aussi cher pour de telles négligences, on est loin d’un 4 étoiles supérieures. Passez votre chemin !

This was the best hotel during our journey through Germany and Austria. Checks all the boxes for excellence. The room is large and very convenient with all the amenities. Views of the Rhein Gorge from the large windows are really spectacular. Their breakfast also has plenty to choose from. Their staff at the front desk and the dining area are nice and very helpful with smiles. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Really nice location, the view from the restaurant and terrasse is breathtaking. Room was hot and without AC but when you open the window there was a lot of wind which fixed the issue and there was no bugs. Food at the main restaurant was expensive but okay with the exception of the dessert that were to be honest bad.

Views of the Rhein Gorge from the large windows are really spectacular. Their breakfast also has plenty to choose from. This was the best hotel during our journey through Germany and Austria. Checks all the boxes for excellence. The room is large and very convenient with all the amenities. Views of the Rhein Gorge from the large windows are really spectacular. Their breakfast also has plenty to choose from. Their staff at the front desk and the dining area are nice and very helpful with smiles. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

There was good and not so good about our stay. We had to wait over 20 minutes to check while the staff member tried to resolve issues with another guest. That was unfortunate but understandable, but I was never acknowledged and when I was able to begin, was abandoned to another guest before completing. Was never told anything about the property including breakfast location and hours or spa location and details. The next day tried to ask the same staff member how to get to the spa and was told she didn’t have time! The good…breakfast was very good and plentiful with a nice assortment of options, our room was as spacious with a nice view. However, the light in the hall didn’t work so it was very dark. The second night we were there we happened to discover that while our bathroom window was frosted, at night you could see right in when the light was on. Since the bathroom faced the parking lot and the toilet located in the window, guests should be aware!

This place doesn’t answer their phones. We tried to call them to get cab from city and they didn’t answer. There were no cabs on street at 5pm. We had to walk and carry luggage up a hill that made my lung disease even worse. They are terrible for people who have disabilities. And have terrible evening customer service.

The location of hotel Rheinfels is excellent. From this location we were able to visit the points of interest in the Mosel and Rhein valley. It is also right next to the ruins of Schloss Rheinfels which is worth visiting. The restaurant inside the hotel has a great view of the Rhein Valley. We ate there every night and had good meals and service. The breakfast was also great and offered plenty of choice. The hotel has a nice atmosphere, has good parking options both right next to the hotel and on the parking place in front of the bridge. The rooms were clean and were pleasant. I did not experience any noise within the room, although noise on the hallway can be heard within the room. Fortunately we had guests that did not make noise on the hallway. The room offered a nice view of some of the nature and buildings behind the hotel. I was happy with my stay at this hotel, and I can recommend it to others.

Tolle Lage, schönes Ambiente, tolle Aussicht, guter Spa-Bereich, guter Service. St. Goar ist leider nicht sehr attraktiv aber ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Schiffsreisen. Die Anreise von St. Goarshausen mit der Fähre ist sehr angenehm.

The hotel commands the most awesome position, overlooking the Rhine (best take a taxi up, with your cases, depending on your fitness!). The staff were unfailing friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and sorted each day. During my stay it was very hot (for the British, anyway!) and I asked for a fan to help me sleep - no problem. Breakfasts - awesome. A truly lovely place to spend a few days. Thank you!

Everything was great but j do think they should have their own shuttle for guests because the hill is too steep to walk and the locale bus is every hour. Also lots of bike peolle that could have used a lift.

Currently there is extensive work on the adjoining Castle Rheinfels, but this was not disruptive to the hotel. Lovely breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant with fabulous views of the Rhine. It was all PICTURE (amazing views) PERFECT (see attached photo of the view from our room). The restaurant…we had two dinners and three breakfasts. It was all divine. The wait staff was very professional. Overall an incredible property. If it is on your radar as a “maybe”, then you need to book it and make it a “definite”!

This is a beautiful hotel with incredible views. The split mattresses took some time to get used to, but the stay was great and we would do it again in a heartbeat. The food was fantastic and the service staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Leider entsprach das Zimmer in keinster Weise dem Bild des Zimmers bei der Buchung. Klein, sehr einfach ohne Charme eingerichtet. Bad sehr klein ohne funtionierende Entlüftung. Das Essen im Restaurant war schlecht bis mittelmäßig und dafür völlig überteuert. It's a magnificent hilltop castle with luxurious accommodation. But it's really reasonably priced too. I have stayed there a few times, visiting from UK. Great weekend break. Views are amazing. Formal restaurant is a bit pricey. But breakfast is amazing. Highly recommended
