Det eneste 4-stjernet ved hotellet er værelset. Det er rigtig lækkert, stor god seng, og lækkert bad. Men så stopper det også her. Selve spaen som består af 2 pools og en jacuzzi, skal man betale 30 euro pr Pers pr dag. Også selvom man booker behandlinger som massage, og har premium værelse. Det blev vi ikke gjort opmærksomme på ved ankomst. Her blev der fortalt om spaen, om mulighederne mm, og så da vi skulle tjekke ud kom en regning. Derudover fik vi massage, af to søde men tydelig ikke uddannede massører og her gik vi også skuffede derfra. Derudover er der ikke nogle vegetariske måltider på menuen. Det har jeg aldrig oplevet før på et såkaldt 4 stjerner hotel, så vi endte desværre med at bestille mad udefra. Deres shuffelservice til lufthavnen er alm taxi, og det tog dem over et døgn at undersøge mulighederne for mig, og kun fordi jeg rykkede for der 3 gange. En rigtig ærgelig oplevelse, som ellers skulle have været den perfekte afslutning på vores ferie. Vi blev ikke spurgt hvordan vores ophold havde været da vi tjekkede ud, men receptionisten kunne godt se det med at vi ikke var informeret om prisen på spaen var lidt noget rod, der ville de veje op for med en lille flaske af hotellets egen eau de toilette -helt til grin. Så 4 stjerner bestemt ikke.

Unfortunately, we didn’t check to see that the pool was available to guests without a reservation. Seems strange that they highlighted photos of the pool but you have to make a reservation and pay a fee to use the pool, for a limited time. The pool and hot tub are within the Spa. Breakfast, the lounge and bar areas are beautiful, warm and friendly. This place is not within walking distance of the town and taxi services are limited. The town is bustling with tourists and students and has a lovely evening atmosphere.

I'm torn - It's a beautiful location, and incredible building, and the flowers and plant life everywhere is gorgeous. So many wonderful spaces to discover around the property. Things we liked - the breakfast (not many hot options but we were keeping it light in the AM!), the service at the "cafeteria" (casual bar) was great, there were nice wine and cocktail options, the room was pretty and clean. Santiago de Compostela is lovely and a 45 minute walk along the river or easy taxi or drive. Things we didn't like - the room was way too hot at night, they have some cooling system in their floors but it was not enough and we were pretty uncomfortable, could have used a fan for sure. The staff at reception were mixed - some were excellent, some were kind of clueless, at least one was kind of rude. It can be challenging to get taxis to and from Santiago. The hotel is almost overstuffed with antiques and knick-knacks, which seems charming but some of them were a little in poor taste/borderline offensive (very outdated racial representations). On the flip side, there is hardly any lounger seating in the grounds or by the pool, despite the size of the property. Several times we struggled to find places to lounge with our books. The pool is above ground and frankly, too cold to actually swim in. The spa pool is a much better temperature but it's indoors and the spa only opens at 11am, would have loved to go earlier. So overall I'd say hi on charm and atmosphere but lower on comfort!

Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits. Das Zimmer war ordentlich und recht komfortabel. Der Duftspray wird ab und an benötigt, da es zwischendurch etwas angestanden riecht. Den kostenlosen Parking und das gute Morgenessen haben wir geschätzt.

After staying at 35 different properties throughout Spain leading up to this visit, I was disappointed in the service. The communication regarding my luggage and booking a spa treatment was non existent. The service at breakfast was dismal. There were cobwebs hanging in my bathroom ceiling. I was actually quite shocked at this considering it was one of the more expensive hotels I’ve stayed and yet had the worst service. I don’t usually wrote bad reviews, but felt this one was needed. In addition the hotel is 2.3 miles, a 50 min walk to the main square. No shuttle.

Sehr schöne Anlage in ruhiger Umgebung. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch preiswert. Daher wäre eigentlich alles perfekt, wenn man nicht bei € 300 pro Nacht noch eineinhalb Stunden im Innenpool mit € 30 pro Person hätte aufbringen müssen. Das größte NoGo war aber die Zimmerlage. Wer ein Zimmer um unseres mit der Nummer 420 bekommt, hat leider Pech. Diese Zimmer liegen direkt über der Küche, bei der wir bis 3 Uhr Nachts Maschinen, den Lift und weiteres Gepolter laut hörten und ab 6 Uhr ging es dann wieder los. Ohne diesen Punkt hätten wir volle Sterne vergeben, so jedoch ist es nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier unglaublich genossen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Freundlichkeit des Personals – vom Empfang an der Rezeption über das Café bis hin zum Frühstück. Ein ganz großes Kompliment dafür! Das Haus selbst ist bezaubernd, mit einer bis ins Detail liebevollen Einrichtung. Die Gärten und die Zimmer machen den Ort zu etwas Magischem und Besonderem. Unsere Zimmer waren durch die wunderschöne Vegetation davor etwas dunkler, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Wenn wir einen kleinen Wunsch äußern dürften, wäre es eine begehbare Dusche („walk-in shower“). Alles in allem war es ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt – ein ideales Refugium abseits des geschäftigen Zentrums von Santiago und trotzdem nur einen Steinwurf davon entfernt. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

El hotel es muy lindo y el servicio es excelente. Lamentablemente el aire acondicionado no funcionó y el cuarto estuvo muy caliente toda la estancia. Tuvimos que pedir un ventilador y aun así la temperatura no bajó.

El hotel es una propiedad antigua muy bella, rodeada de lindos jardines. Las habitaciones son cómodas, la cama muy grande y cómoda, excelente lencería y toallas. Great service, beautiful hotel, amazing food and location. We stayed in room 412 which it was extremely hot. Our several complaints they brought us a fan for our last. It’s a shame that they couldn’t fix the room Temperature since it’s an Eco hotel and they only have heaters (no ac) We are still waiting for hotel to reach out to us to find a remedy (compensation) for our 3 Nights discomfort.

Beautiful place but communication is poor and it’s a bit of wealthy rats on a sinking ship mentality. Significant distance from town. A lot of attitude from the staff, but the guy who runs the breakfast room is 5 stars. Also the other male was fantastic. Most of the female staff were openly displaying how much they hate their job. After being offered an opportunity for my wife and I to get spa treatments, we arrived and the staff said there was no availability. So much for reservations

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier unglaublich genossen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Freundlichkeit des Personals – vom Empfang an der Rezeption über das Café bis hin zum Frühstück. Ein ganz großes Kompliment dafür! Das Haus selbst ist bezaubernd, mit einer bis ins Detail liebevollen Einrichtung. Die Gärten und die Zimmer machen den Ort zu etwas Magischem und Besonderem. Unsere Zimmer waren durch die wunderschöne Vegetation davor etwas dunkler, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Wenn wir einen kleinen Wunsch äußern dürften, wäre es eine begehbare Dusche („walk-in shower“). Alles in allem war es ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt – ein ideales Refugium abseits des geschäftigen Zentrums von Santiago und trotzdem nur einen Steinwurf davon entfernt. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Unfortunately, we didn’t check to see that the pool was available to guests without a reservation. Seems strange that they highlighted photos of the pool but you have to make a reservation and pay a fee to use the pool, for a limited time. The pool and hot tub are within the Spa. Breakfast, the lounge and bar areas are beautiful, warm and friendly. This place is not within walking distance of the town and taxi services are limited. The town is bustling with tourists and students and has a lovely evening atmosphere.

I'm torn - It's a beautiful location, and incredible building, and the flowers and plant life everywhere is gorgeous. So many wonderful spaces to discover around the property. Things we liked - the breakfast (not many hot options but we were keeping it light in the AM!), the service at the "cafeteria" (casual bar) was great, there were nice wine and cocktail options, the room was pretty and clean. Santiago de Compostela is lovely and a 45 minute walk along the river or easy taxi or drive. Things we didn't like - the room was way too hot at night, they have some cooling system in their floors but it was not enough and we were pretty uncomfortable, could have used a fan for sure. The staff at reception were mixed - some were excellent, some were kind of clueless, at least one was kind of rude. It can be challenging to get taxis to and from Santiago. The hotel is almost overstuffed with antiques and knick-knacks, which seems charming but some of them were a little in poor taste/borderline offensive (very outdated racial representations). On the flip side, there is hardly any lounger seating in the grounds or by the pool, despite the size of the property. Several times we struggled to find places to lounge with our books. The pool is above ground and frankly, too cold to actually swim in. The spa pool is a much better temperature but it's indoors and the spa only opens at 11am, would have loved to go earlier. So overall I'd say hi on charm and atmosphere but lower on comfort!

Det eneste 4-stjernet ved hotellet er værelset. Det er rigtig lækkert, stor god seng, og lækkert bad. Men så stopper det også her. Selve spaen som består af 2 pools og en jacuzzi, skal man betale 30 euro pr Pers pr dag. Også selvom man booker behandlinger som massage, og har premium værelse. Det blev vi ikke gjort opmærksomme på ved ankomst. Her blev der fortalt om spaen, om mulighederne mm, og så da vi skulle tjekke ud kom en regning. Derudover fik vi massage, af to søde men tydelig ikke uddannede massører og her gik vi også skuffede derfra. Derudover er der ikke nogle vegetariske måltider på menuen. Det har jeg aldrig oplevet før på et såkaldt 4 stjerner hotel, så vi endte desværre med at bestille mad udefra. Deres shuffelservice til lufthavnen er alm taxi, og det tog dem over et døgn at undersøge mulighederne for mig, og kun fordi jeg rykkede for der 3 gange. En rigtig ærgelig oplevelse, som ellers skulle have været den perfekte afslutning på vores ferie. Everything about this place is beautiful. And dinner was out of this world. The cafe was fantastic. The art and furnishings and building itself and the grounds were awesome. Was less enamored with their spa services though. Not bad. Just average. And was disappointed when we tried to stay an extra night and they said yes, but then called to double the room price. We left and headed to the coast instead.

Wonderful restful stay with excellent restaurants on site. Excellent staff, always there to assist. My only complaint (and this is a small one) is laundry service. Did not receive laundry back in 24 hours as advertised and had to complain several times about it before receiving it back at 8p (should have been back by 3p). Will definitely stay here again

We loved our stay at the Hotel Spa Relais & Chateaux. The room was spacious with a most comfortable bed. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. It is a drive to Santiago de Compostela but seclusion from the city was a bonus for us.

The location is magical and we are so lucky that we didn’t stay down town Santiago Compostella. You can hear the stream sounds from the room. Service was fantastic all around. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was superb. Food and service were excellent. Front desk staff were exemplary and easy to reach. I would like to thank Elias for his efforts and dedication throughout our stay. Also Noelia was very helpful. Definitely recommend staying here if your journey takes you to Santiago De Compostella
