Really good hotel in great location , access via city by car is terrible due to acc road restrictions and Hydro Electric works around this part of the city , zero parking at this hotel , nerby car parks are card payments only and quite far away , no good for those woth amy mobilty issue's. If you travel by bus or rail its a winner . Hotel staff are awesome , good standards , come on union square and acc the city beeds this working not everyone travels by bicycle and train . Business tracel by car is neccesaary in Scotland! Love the hotel in all other areas

Very hard to navigate to by car. Parking was not clear when booking or upon arrival. No free parking available. Rooms were dated and in need of a good clean. Would not recommend.

Good hotel. Stayed for a couple of nights with work. Good location, parking at the station is about £10 but easy to get in and out of.

Our room was fantastic - it’s always great to get a bath in your room! The staff on reception were friendly and attentive and the hotel is in a really handy location. The only negative about this hotel is that the bar and restaurant are ‘cashless’. Apart from for online purchases, we only use cash. Hence we ate and drank in some of the other establishments nearby, where using cash is not an issue. I would return to this hotel if visiting Aberdeen (which I do regularly), but probably wouldn’t use the bar or restuarant.

Central for shops, buses and trains. Not so good if using car parking longstay and overnight very expensive

Great breakfast choice. Check in & out easy. Had an accessible room which we didn’t book, lots of space in the room but bed was small double, could have done with king size bed but that’s our choice. Could also hear noise from next room through the connecting door, coughing and hair dryer. Easy access for parking, railway station and shopping. Would stay again but request king size bed if available or twin beds.

Great location for the railway station, just a 5 minute stroll through Union Square. Room was clean and well equipped. Bed super comfy. Hotel is accessed via a side entrance when Union Square is shut, but the card reader was not working. Just need to buzz reception. Breakfast was tasty, but shame there was no porridge.

Really enjoyed the city view from the 6th floor executive room. Friendly reception staff, lovely clean room, excellent breakfast, only negative points waited 50 minutes in the restaurant for meal to arrive and it was cold. Paid £ 36.00 for car parking.

Pleasant stay, my only problem would be the website needs to be clearer around parking. States £6 parking on website, the hotel itself is not affiliated with the car park

Its in a shopping mall, very difficult to find, you have to go into the mall and search, there is no external signage. The nearest car park is ludicrously expensive. There is another adjacent to the railway station which can be reached by covered walkway if you know about it. Parking at College street is better but then different prices if you park in the normal car park or the station car park. None of this was mentioned at reception until I asked, then they couldn't give directions, very poor. Place is modern and clean, plenty of places to eat nearby, breakfast was ok

The hotel was advertised as being 4 stars. The shower curtain was full of mould. The room is very dated and there is no facecloth, body lotion or conditioner. All items that a better hotel should provide.

We have stayed here for many years and never had any bother we booked executive room we had drinks and chocolate comfy bed room was warm so put air conditioning therewas a smell coming from it. In the bathroom cracks across the tiles shower curtain was filthy and stained the shower head was dirty and had mould on it the walls beside shower was dirty and mould on it. Also roof in the bedroom had a big crack across the room. Could not sleep well as bright lights from the motor way . Breakfast was ok dont think we will stay here again hotel needs refurb and painted

The staff were great and the lobby/restaurant for breakfast were good. The condition of the room was poor. There were holes in the walls in the bathroom. Not enough lights in the bathroom or bed space. Whole room is dated. Cleanliness of the room could have been better. For the price you are paying the room could have been better.

Leonardo Hotel in Aberdeen, a supposed 4-star establishment, provided an awful two-night stay for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids who had requested two interlinked rooms two months in advance. When we went to get our room keys from reception, we found out that no one had read our message asking for interlinked rooms, and the only ones available were on the 3rd floor with a double bed and on the 4th floor with two beds, splitting our family by two floors. The room on the 3rd floor was the worst, noise and cleanliness-wise. It was right across from the stairs and elevators, so we heard people coming back from nights out at all hours, which kept waking us up. Plus, there was only one double bed for one adult and two kids. When I called reception to ask how three of us were supposed to sleep in one double bed, their response was basically, "How were we supposed to know?" from both the reception staff and later the manager. It was pretty easy to know, actually, because the room was booked for one adult and two kids, as my booking clearly showed. If the staff had done their job right, they would've seen there were three of us. So, we ended up with an extra folding bed that looked awful and had a terrible mattress for someone to sleep on for two nights. The WC was unsanitary, with urine-stained walls, a dusty toilet paper holder, moldy shower fixtures, dirty taps, stained shower curtains, and a filthy hand wash dispenser. The kettle was burned and poorly cleaned. Even more to say

This is my second time staying at this hotel and it was not as good as last time. The room wasn’t cleaned properly. There were food crumbs by the night stand. Got a teeny TV in the room, I do like relaxing with the TV after a long day of exploring so it wasn’t very ideal. The TV remote batteries were exposed, there was g the back thingy to cover up. It’s not a big thing but I would expect better from a 4 star hotel. The hotel is perfectly situated in union square mall and easy access to pretty much everything. The beds in the room are so comfortable, love tha and also Love the ice dispensers on all the floors. It’s a good base for exploring Aberdeen and I already have another stay booked next month. I just hope they do better with the cleaning.

Lovely room comfy bed only downside there was long hairs in the sink and bath also shower cap packet was empty just felt like a rushed job to clean

Stayed at this hotel multiple times. Sadly the standards of cleanliness in the rooms seems to be slipping.

Very dated Hotel, not very clean.

Room felt quite tired and out of date which is fine in Itself however 1 of the bedside lamps was almost hanging off. Shower curtain and shower head filthy and bathroom in general was not very clean. One of the cups for coffee was filthy. Also shower gel was empty however this did get filled for us.

Room was ok, plenty of pillows. Heating turns itself off so you wake up freezing. Bathroom needs updating, staining in sink and toilet and shower pressure was low. Booked 3 nights but left after one

Hotel was very convenient for us and we’ve used it quite a few times before. The room, bar and breakfast were all of the usual standard however the view from the room we were allocated had probably the worst view we’ve ever had from a hotel anywhere. All we could see was ventilation systems etc so if you ever get room 109 ask for a change or keep the curtains closed.

Nicd room with a mini fridge. Cokd bug easaly warmed. Good bed, pillows could be softer

I have stayed in this hotel twice and both times the room has been very cold. Even running the heating system on full I cannot seem to get the room warm. Also room 116 was at the end of the building next to a noisy generator which ran all night and kept me awake. Would not stay again

Before arrival I was asked to complete on-line check-in, on arrival they had no record of my booking via hotels.com or any online check-in! I ordered bar food in the evening that then didn’t arrive and when I asked a staff member he was extremely rude! The room was large, great view! Out dated bathroom, room had very poor lighting and in a 4 star hotel I would have expected a more modern tv for media streaming etc. on check-in I paid for late check-out but then the phone in my room was ringing at various times where staff were then reminding me I should have checked out by 11am. So overall the organisation and customer service was not what I would expect!

I stay at this hotel regularly. My only complaint is about the lighting in the room. The bedside lamps are very dim, light level too low to read comfortably.

The room look nice enough, but there was a moldy smell and it was icecold when we came in. It had a big batjroom as it was handicap friendly. There was s lot of npice from the street

This hotel is well located next to Union Square. The breakfast was decent. Ain issue was the noise. My room overlooked the union square roof which is where many air con units are. The noise from these is loud and they came on early in the morning. The bathrooms are.tired. I wouldn't stay here again.

Hotel was nice particularly in lobby. I felt rooms were in need of an upgrade. Limited plugs & bed was tiny. Would t even say a full Double. No full light just 4 lamps. Wouldn’t stay again.

We arrived and asked for early check in which they aloud, we arrived in our room and it hadn’t been cleaned, we went to the front desk and the staff “ Rosa” could not be more apologetic and polite , she couldn’t do enough to make it better, we told her it didn’t matter we just wanted to inform her and we were not angry as it was just a simple mistake, she apologised profusely once again and we went for food, we came back to the room to a lovely hand written note from Rosa, and a gift of a bag of chocolate and complementary drinks which we very much appreciated, we spoke to Rosa again and said she didn’t need to do that we weren’t complaining or mad about the room not being tidy, she told us it was the least she could do and she was once again very sorry, we thanked her very much and enjoyed the rest of our stay! # everybodyneedsaRosa 100% Rosa needs a pay rise , such a lovely woman. All of your staff at your aberdeen hotel are very very very polite and would give you the shirt of their back if they could.

This Leonardo hotel in Union Square is in a great location for transport / food / shopping, however it is in need of modernisation of bedrooms with tired furniture & small TV. Our bathroom had had a tough life with cracked sink & cistern detached from the wall. That said cleanliness was very good. Breakfast is good value, but they did run out of pastries one morning, Orange juice was fairly watered down. Staff were all excellent, polite and efficient keeping suitcases after check out.

We had a great stay the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were moved rooms because of faulty heating in our room . I would highly recommend this hotel

Stayed here before under previous hotel chain. Location great, cleanliness great, bar pricey but good. Been to many hotels and was so disappointed with check in. Foreign guy checked us in, confirmed who I was then threw room key at me across the desk. No details about breakfast, check out, lifts etc. I was very taken aback as I didn’t expect that. Very poor check in experience, still don’t know where to go for breakfast!

Good hotel to stay at in Aberdeen, helpful and friendly staff, usually stay here overnight for traveling on to Shetland, not to far to walk to the Northlink Ferry terminal so very convenient, recommend hotel.

Lots of messages ahead of check-in including online check in which did speed up things on arrival. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and clean hotel. Good facilities. Would happily stay here again.

From someone who stays in hotels a lot with my job I have to say this hotel has it all, the staff can not do enough for you from the lovely reception staff who held our luggage and placed medical stents in the office so we didn’t have to carry them around, to Lewis on the bar, all super efficient and friendly. Room clean and lovely with a great view of the city.

Let's start with the good. The location was good as was the condition of the hotel. The beds were comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was good as well. The not so good. The front desk is nonexistent if you have any issues and try and call down. This happened multiple times during are stay so it wasn't a once and done thing. So, you get dressed and head down to the front desk and the lobby is empty. Both times oh we were just busy. Thats interesting as I had my wife call down as I walked down here at the same time. Amazing, I just missed the crowd apparently. They weren't on the phone either. The AC issues. It kept shutting off. I was told once it gets to temp it shuts off but comes back on to keep it there. NO, no it doesn't. I have a background in AC so please. It stays off until you manually turn it back on. This also means it shuts off in the middle of the night, so you wake up hot and have to turn it back on. We were with friends, so we had 3 rooms. All the same thing. We sat around one night and were talking and I'm like its warm in here. The AC shut off. I'd never stay here again, ever. I got some run around about how they have to conserve on energy costs. I said I didn't book a room with AC and pay good money to help you conserve on energy costs. OMG really. If you like it hot and no AC this is the place for you otherwise spend your money somewhere else. I'm aware a lot of hotels in Europe don't have AC but when you book one specifically for it, I expect AC.

Attached to Union Square Mall, bus station, and train station. Convenient to downtown and many sights.

Just a single night, but super convenient to the train station and ferry terminal. Breakfast was good as well. Friendly staff held our bags during the day after checkout. Good hotel by the train station.

Very convenient for the station and good location in a shopping centre.

Very convenient location, joined onto shopping centre with lots of options for eating out so didn’t need to go outside in the cold and rain.

We came into Aberdeen by train and discovered the Leonardo was right at the train station so we didn’t have far to walk with our luggage. Breakfast was great and had a good variety of food to choose from. Shopping, restaurants, cinema were at the mall attached to the hotel. A small food store was across the street and the free Maritime Museum was a couple of blocks away. This location was great for us.

Everything was great including superb Leah on check in bar staff and breakfast. Only an observation and not a criticsm but we were touring scotland and expected scottish breakfast irems. No haggis. lorne sausage, tattie scone which was a disappoinment. However breakfast was nevertheless good.

The most dissppointing was the hotel bar/restaurant…. Very bad drinks, and mediocre food.

Great hotel but the cooked breakfast left a great deal to be desired . Warm sausages . Hard dusted potatoes and black in places . However, the service was brilliant and staff lovely .

Door by the pedestrian crossing isn’t the main entrance. Wasn’t clear to me until it was explained by someone outside. Checked in, got confused by the lift that needs room key swiped. Found the room, happy with it apart from very limited light in the bathroom. Went for food and movie, couldn’t get back into reception at 0045. Had to be let out of Union square to come back in via door found earlier. Bed was great. Socket near it helped. Great breakfast

Was very average. The room was tired. The bathroom was in poor condition. The service at breakfast was terrible. The coffee machines kept going off and not getting filled up! Big queues . No food left at the buffet and took ages to be replaced . Dirty plates etc were not being cleared away. We had to put them on to another table.

Good, but it has been better. Spatious room but very dark, difficult to read if not sitting under a lamp. Even the bathroom was dark. I don't know what happened that the lights did not illuninate. At breakfast the machine offered hot chocolate, there was chocolate powder on it, but it never worked. There were two machines on the same situation. Fruit options were little. This hotel had better days...
