Relais Almaranto

Fantastic hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The facilities were excellent. The only minor downside was that the room was a little warm at night, even with the air conditioning on. However, it was around 40°C outside, so that’s understandable.

Our stay here was exceptional, albeit after a couple of misunderstandings - that were efficiently addressed and swiftly put right. The hotel itself is very grande and the design throughout is tastefully done which, compliments the grounds and stunning panoramic views. The staff was always friendly and eager to help point us in the right direction. The location is very convenient for driving to all the top vineyards in the area. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed out time here and look forward to coming back later in the year for truffle season.

This hotel has no idea about hospitality. The first thing we have heard when we arrived after transatlantic flight and a long night drive was:" you didn't park at the right place it's a place for stuff. We have a party so the parking lot is busy". No help was offered with luggage. Not even the idea if they could get the car keys and park the car themselves as they do in the decent hotel. So we had to drag the suitcases through the gravel parking lot. No luggage racks in the room. So you have to put your luggage on the floor and be on your knees while unpacking and taking your stuff out. Seems like epitome of eco-friendly. Nobody on the reception after 9:00 p.m. so if you need something go help yourself . No fridge in the room. If you want to chill your wine or store the cheese in this cheese and wine country go help yourself. By the way there is no phone in the room so if you want to call reception there is no way to call no matter what you need toothbrush or help. No wine glasses in the room. When ask for 2x glasses, we were told we will be charged 5 euro per glass! 10 euro for 2 empty glasses! Yeah, hospitality! Have been traveling throughout Europe, never had been asked to pay for empty glasses! New level of "f** you" by these guys! At 23.36 party music is coming through the window. Our room is on the opposite side of the building from the restaurant, so music is, probably, very loud. I can hardly imagine what other guests are experiencing.

What a great property - located in an area with rolling hills and beautiful wineries. Great scenery and views. Beautiful grounds, excellently appointed rooms. High end decorations and fixtures in the rooms. Very comfortable beds and Nice linens. Enjoyed both The pool and restaurants.

Een dikke tien. Was een mooie locatie en zeer goed onderhouden. Vriendelijk personeel, heel mooi zwembad in een mooie tuin met mooi uitzicht een aanrader.
