Amazing hotel. Stayed here with a friend while motorbiking one night and honestly it was one of the most relaxing hotel envoirments i have ever been in. The staff were super friendly. Beds were very comfy. Food was excellent and dont get me started on the heated outdoor patio, a gem of a hotel and i will certainly be back

Good sized room, bed comfortable. Staff very friendly. Plenty parking. However I really think a 4 star hotel should have bottled water in the rooms and also biscuits to go with the tea/coffee.

I stayed here several years ago and it was in the middle of a refurbishment. Now some time has passed the refurbishment loos great and the room was nicely appointed and equipped. Comfy beds and had a good nights sleep. The service in the bistro bar was good but the food only OK. I would have expected better and there were a lot of flies buzzing round landing on my plate and glass which wasnt nice. Overall nice hotel and top tip, avoid parking under the trees outside the main entrance. My car was covered in so much bird muck the rental company charged me a cleaning fee. :-)

Welcoming friendly staff throughout the hotel. Warm, comfortable and spotless room. Good disabled access and parking. Superb breakfast choice with first class ingredients. The cooked breakfast was the best I’ve tasted in a long time. A very enjoyable stay to be repeated soon.

Beautiful hotel! Staff was very friendly with my super chatty 5 year old son. Food was delicious and there was a cute fairy garden to walk through on the property.

Listed as a 4* hotel but yet small things like no tissues, hand cream or shower hats in the bathroom. Glasses not changed or fresh water on day 2 of our stay. The bed was just about made - the sheet wasn’t flatten so we had to make our own bed. Won’t be back - to dear for what you get.

We stayed for a family wedding. Room was a bit small for a family room of 2 adults a teen-ager and and 8 year old. The room was very cold. Another family had a similar room and it was more spacious and warm.

We spent one night here on our way from Dublin to Kilkenny. The staff were prompt and very polite. The location is rural, but the facility is top notch. A grand staircase greets you as you enter the main lobby. As a group, we occupied three rooms. Our only issue was the lack of room air conditioning (but iist say the temps while we visited were the highest in almost 80 years). The rooms are equipped with an energy saving feature, you must place a room key in a wall mounted to activate any in room power or lighting. If your remove the key card to exit the room all lights and wall power turn off. This was not a problem once we figured out how it worked. We had two room keys, so if a person remained in the room, the spare key allowed them to watch television and have lighting.

The one negative that on the Friday night we stayed there was 3/4 Christmas parties which we could hear in our room until after midnight. Apart from that the hotel is excellent and I would definitely stay there again.

Everything great about the hotel except room 124. The room was right beside the heating system that kept us awake for 2 nights. We paid E388 for this noisy room and one would need google maps to find. We got a brick wall outside our window last stay. We won't be returning again.

Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly, especially one particular bar man who was so accommodating and friendly. Nice little fairy garden on the grounds for the kids. 5 min drive into the town centre.

Just Great to get away from home after the communion closer to route to where we are going today. Staff so helpful and friendly. Lovely Breakfast. Requested an extra Bed which I received. Great to have a fan in the room as well the room can be warm x

I stayed here several years ago and it was in the middle of a refurbishment. Now some time has passed the refurbishment loos great and the room was nicely appointed and equipped. Comfy beds and had a good nights sleep. The service in the bistro bar was good but the food only OK. I would have expected better and there were a lot of flies buzzing round landing on my plate and glass which wasnt nice. Overall nice hotel and top tip, avoid parking under the trees outside the main entrance. My car was covered in so much bird muck the rental company charged me a cleaning fee. :-)

Lovely hotel, very welcoming and friendly staff. Room spacious and comfortable. Bathroom spotless. Food excellent. Will definitely stay again.

Room was fantastic and very comfortable. Staff were very efficient throughout the hotel and we found the bar and food reasonably priced. The food at breakfast and dinner was very good. The one negative that on the Friday night we stayed there was 3/4 Christmas parties which we could hear in our room until after midnight. Apart from that the hotel is excellent and I would definitely stay there again.

Great stay all round. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and kind. Brilliant with my two children. Breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back

The cost of staying in this hotel for a Single Occupancy room is outrageous, considering the very ordinary standard of offering. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was very basic. I met one very kind man working behind the bar.

Good location if you are exploring the Kilkenny area by car. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Breakfast was good as well. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The room was a bit too warm though and there was no air conditioning or other cooling system.

While the rooms were somewhat warm without good ventilation, the staff was very helpful and brought us two fans and an extension cord. The grounds are lovely with a river walk to a small island. Parking is easy if you have a car. Breakfast is pretty good.

Dated decor throughout the hotel, told when I arrived that breakfast only started at 8am on a Friday… no facility to get an earlier breakfast. A first for me. Bedroom appeared to have been redecorated recently but a lot of condensation on the window and a very funny odour. Bed was very comfortable. Overall a mediocre stay.

Room was very spacious and clean,bed was very comfortable, bathroom was big with shower gel and hair dryer.rhe staff we're very friendly and chatty, nothing was too much trouble for them, the atmosphere made it a great place to stay.bar food was delicious and reasonable priced,had lunch and dinner.ample onsite parking
