Sincèrement excellent. Plage à couper le souffle. Océan chaud. Restaurant les pieds dans le sable. Personnel très agréable et pro. Hôtel typique et très bien conçu. Très bon petit déjeuner. Restaurant de qualité, très varié, dîner au bord de la piscine. Les musiciens du soir sont très bons et discrets pendant le repas. Hôtel, que je recommande vivement, vous ne regretterez pas votre séjour.

J’ai passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. La chambre était belle, propre et rénovée. Le personnel est accueillant et sympathique. Côté restauration, rien à dire : le repas était impeccable, le buffet varié et de qualité. Les boissons sont en supplément, mais les cocktails sont bien réalisés et les prix restent corrects. La piscine est vraiment agréable, et pour les amateurs de plage, l’accès direct est un vrai plus. Petit bémol en revanche : la salle de sport, dont l’équipement est vétuste et parfois presque dangereux. Dommage, car tout le reste est au top.

I loved the unique individual cabin style accommodation, it gave a feeling that we were in our own apartment. However the one that we were given didn't have a mosquito net and we didn't report it until the last day. We were therefore bitten throughout the stay. There was some renovations going on in the next room. They were careful not to disturb us early in the morning which was good but there was waste and rubbish left outside our cabin which gave it a neglected appearance. The wider public areas were fantastic. We went half board. Breakfast great. Dinner - when there was a buffet great. Sometimes there was a set menu, choice was limited on these nights I ate more bread so I wasn't hungry. The beach was super, it was attached to the property, really clean and well maintained. The loungers and the parasols were all clean and there was enough of them for everyone. The staff and entertainment were really top and helpful. We took a walk around outside the hotel. It is surrounded by security to prevent beggars from harassing the tourists. As soon as you leave this area the local area shows that this area is very deprived, there is no activity in the immediate vicinity outside the hotel. I would absolutely stay again but would check that the room had a mosquito net before unpacking my bags.

Beautiful area on the beach. Grounds are so nice and the pool is great too. Beach is lively in the evening/late afternoon and very quiet during the day. A really wonderful resort. Staff are so helpful and polite.

Dans l'ensemble, c'est un excellent hôtel avec une belle plage et une piscine qui s'est améliorée au fil des ans. Mais je dirais que les pièces sont sombres - les fenêtres sont très limitées avec une structure en ciment à motifs au-dessus de la fenêtre - quand on est sur la plage, vous voulez des fenêtres du sol au plafond et des portes coulissantes. Deuxièmement, l'exercice L'équipement est très limité et vieux et fonctionne à peine. Enfin, il n'y a pas beaucoup d'offres pour les végétariens à l'heure du dîner.

Heel aangenaam hotel. Vriendelijk personeel. Nette en ruime kamers zelfs voor de standaardkamers! Elke kamer heeft mooi terras met uitzicht op de tuin of de zee. Het eten is afwisselend in buffet of keuzemenu aan de kaart (wel wekelijks hetzelfde menu dus voor langer verblijf mss geen pluspunt). Ontbijt was uitgebreid buffet. Prachtige ligging aan een mooi stuk rustig strand met mooie strandbar! Heel goed gelegen om uitstappen te doen en vrij kort bij het centrum van Saly.

This is an aesthetically pretty property. The pool area and beach setup is nice with a tiny bar right on the beach. I stayed for only one night because it is closer to the airport than Dakar is.

L'hôtel est magnifique et le jardin est vraiment très beau bravo aux jardiniers ! Nous avions réservé 2 bungalows qui étaient le 14 et le 15, très grands et très propres et le lit était très confortables. Par contre nous avions 2 ados et nous aurions préféré avoir une chambre double et 1 chambre twin. On nous a donné 2 doubles. Les animations étaient supers le soir bravo pour le choix des groupes de musique. On a bien aimé le buffet et le repas du dimanche soir à la carte. De part son emplacement notre bungalow 14 était très bruyant car il y avait beaucoup de passage + le groupe des assurances pendant notre séjour...Seul bémol on avait demandé une nuit supplémentaire lors du check in. On a appris par la suite que finalement il y avait de la disponibilité dû à des annulations c'est dommage on aurait pu prolonger au lieu d'aller au Neptune. Super garde sur la plage il est très discret mais bien présent si besoin.

Lieux pour le moins sympathique et très bien situé au cœur de Saly et accessible pour les lieux à visiter (Sine Saloun, Dakar, Gorée…). L’hôtel est majoritairement composé de personnes âgées (retraités) et correspond à sa clientèle car relativement calme sans réelle activité. Si vous souhaitez passer du temps sur un transat sans bruit c’est l’endroit idéal. Les chambres standard à notre grand désarroi sont moins que standard (sombre, humidité qui engendrent des odeurs, matelas peu confortable, beaucoup trop d’insectes et décoration très sommaire). Cela ne vaut pas le prix payé. Concernant la nourriture, il y a des plus et des moins. Des efforts sont fait pour varier les repas et donner un petit déjeuner complet. Manque cependant d’authenticité et de repas typique. Le bar et la plage sont très agréables et le personnel attentif et bienveillant. En conclusion, le Royam Hôtel a du potentiel mais mériterait des ajustements pour coller réellement aux standards d’un 4 étoiles.

Tuve un problema de insectos en mi habitación que al final tuve que resolver yo mismo comprando un insecticida en un supermercado y echándolo en la habitación… Esto arruinó mi primera noche en el hotel, pero hay que entender que este tipo de hoteles “incrustados” en mitad de la naturaleza son así. Por lo demás el check-in y el check-out fueron muy rápidos y esto es algo que se agradece enormemente.

I really wish I could give a better rating but the fact cats are just allowed to roam around at dinner time and also drink out of the swimming pool really put me off as its highly unclean as these are not pet cats & can carry disease. The beach is nice and staff are attentive & get a free welcome drink on arrival. Rooms are ok and a good size. The lady in the gift shop was rude & kept following me around as if I was going to steal. I actually questioned her on it as it was everytime. Seafood buffet on Tuesdays & breakfast was nice but set menu is incredibly bland and tasteless

Sinds enkele maanden een nieuwe hotelmanager die alles van dichtbij opvolgt en open staat voor feedback. Elke dag zagen we verbeteringen zowel in het restaurant als in de kamers. De WIFI was perfect, zowel in de kamer als op het strand. Enkel nog parasols op het terras (zijn al in bestelling) want de temperaturen kunnen er hoog oplopen en niet zo aangenaam in volle zon te ontbijten of te lunchen. Een aanrader !!!

This hotel is a gem. Beautiful setting, great beach and pool, friendly staff. A special mention to Bala and Pape for making this stay unforgettable. The rooms could use a little maintenance but that is only a detail. I can strongly recommend as I will definitely return.

Dans l'ensemble, c'est un excellent hôtel avec une belle plage et une piscine qui s'est améliorée au fil des ans. Mais je dirais que les pièces sont sombres - les fenêtres sont très limitées avec une structure en ciment à motifs au-dessus de la fenêtre - quand on est sur la plage, vous voulez des fenêtres du sol au plafond et des portes coulissantes. Deuxièmement, l'exercice L'équipement est très limité et vieux et fonctionne à peine. Enfin, il n'y a pas beaucoup d'offres pour les végétariens à l'heure du dîner.

The only complain I have is the fact that the phone directory was not available in the room. I had to google the customer service number in order to be directed to dial the 3 digit number for the front desk. Also the internet was very unstable.

Lieux pour le moins sympathique et très bien situé au cœur de Saly et accessible pour les lieux à visiter (Sine Saloun, Dakar, Gorée…). L’hôtel est majoritairement composé de personnes âgées (retraités) et correspond à sa clientèle car relativement calme sans réelle activité. Si vous souhaitez passer du temps sur un transat sans bruit c’est l’endroit idéal. Les chambres standard à notre grand désarroi sont moins que standard (sombre, humidité qui engendrent des odeurs, matelas peu confortable, beaucoup trop d’insectes et décoration très sommaire). Cela ne vaut pas le prix payé. Concernant la nourriture, il y a des plus et des moins. Des efforts sont fait pour varier les repas et donner un petit déjeuner complet. Heel aangenaam hotel. Vriendelijk personeel. Nette en ruime kamers zelfs voor de standaardkamers! Elke kamer heeft mooi terras met uitzicht op de tuin of de zee. Het eten is afwisselend in buffet of keuzemenu aan de kaart (wel wekelijks hetzelfde menu dus voor langer verblijf mss geen pluspunt). Ontbijt was uitgebreid buffet. Prachtige ligging aan een mooi stuk rustig strand met mooie strandbar! Heel goed gelegen om uitstappen te doen en vrij kort bij het centrum van Saly.

Nous avions réservé 2 bungalows qui étaient le 14 et le 15, très grands et très propres et le lit était très confortables. Par contre nous avions 2 ados et nous aurions préféré avoir une chambre double et 1 chambre twin. On nous a donné 2 doubles. Les animations étaient supers le soir bravo pour le choix des groupes de musique. On a bien aimé le buffet et le repas du dimanche soir à la carte. De part son emplacement notre bungalow 14 était très bruyant car il y avait beaucoup de passage + le groupe des assurances pendant notre séjour...Seul bémol on avait demandé une nuit supplémentaire lors du check in. On a appris par la suite que finalement il y avait de la disponibilité dû à des annulations c'est dommage on aurait pu prolonger au lieu d'aller au Neptune. Super garde sur la plage il est très discret mais bien présent si besoin.

I have been staying at the Royam for work travel since 2012. It never disappoints. The staff are warm and friendly. The food just keeps getting better and better. The landscaping is immaculate and beautiful. If the Royam isn't available, I move my work travel dates. It is world-class.

Parfait! Le personnel est au petit soins, le service est plus que parfait, chaque soir nous avons droit à un spectacle différent autour du dîner, le dîner est digne d’un restaurant gastronomique. L’hôtel, la propreté des lieux, la gentillesse du personnel bienveillant, la sécurité toujours présent, la chambre aussi lit immense et très confortable.

l'hotel est tres bien. repas assez copieux voir desfois tres copieux. en general le service est bon, voir tres bon. ca fait 5 fois que je reserve dans cet hotel et la, je reviens le soir apres que mon vol est annule. on me donne une chambre bien plus petite que celle que j'avais le matin, sans eau, et avec un lit qui etait comme du beton.... bref, ca laisse un mauvais gout. dommage.

Very well nice hotel area with a lot of flowers / green / trees. The villas are in a good condition and everything worked quite well. There were enough sun beds for everyone at the beach and at the pool. Staff could hardly speak any English and even when speaking French they were not really welcoming / friendly. Service at Dinner was highly depending on the actual waiter who was responsible for your table. Overall I can recommend this hotel for a stay in Saly, nevertheless service quality should be improved!

Dans l'ensemble, c'est un excellent hôtel avec une belle plage et une piscine qui s'est améliorée au fil des ans. Mais je dirais que les pièces sont sombres - les fenêtres sont très limitées avec une structure en ciment à motifs au-dessus de la fenêtre - quand on est sur la plage, vous voulez des fenêtres du sol au plafond et des portes coulissantes. Deuxièmement, l'exercice L'équipement est très limité et vieux et fonctionne à peine. Enfin, il n'y a pas beaucoup d'offres pour les végétariens à l'heure du dîner.

Heel aangenaam hotel. Vriendelijk personeel. Nette en ruime kamers zelfs voor de standaardkamers! Elke kamer heeft mooi terras met uitzicht op de tuin of de zee. Het eten is afwisselend in buffet of keuzemenu aan de kaart (wel wekelijks hetzelfde menu dus voor langer verblijf mss geen pluspunt). Ontbijt was uitgebreid buffet. Prachtige ligging aan een mooi stuk rustig strand met mooie strandbar! Heel goed gelegen om uitstappen te doen en vrij kort bij het centrum van Saly.

I really wish I could give a better rating but the fact cats are just allowed to roam around at dinner time and also drink out of the swimming pool really put me off as its highly unclean as these are not pet cats & can carry disease. The beach is nice and staff are attentive & get a free welcome drink on arrival. Rooms are ok and a good size. The lady in the gift shop was rude & kept following me around as if I was going to steal. I actually questioned her on it as it was everytime. Seafood buffet on Tuesdays & breakfast was nice but set menu is incredibly bland and tasteless
