Good friendly check in. Everything explained. Very clean room with lots of space. Very clean bed linen over a very comfotable bed. Stayed with 2 show dogs and we had lots of space for their overnight crates. Plenty of space outside to walk the dogs

We had a problem with your booking system we styated that we needed a downfloor room as there was no lift and i was unable to walk upstairs.When we arrived he said we were booked in for an upstairs room.I found this very stressful as i had phoned up before hand to check that we were downstairs. However the very helpful gentleman on reception sorted it out and we were able to stay.

Good stay.family and dog friendly just a shame the McDonald's weren't friendly about dogs

I have stayed here before about 3 years ago. And I have to say, it’s gone downhill a little. The receptionist was lovely. Very pleasant, but didn’t explain about the 25% off voucher we could have got for McDonalds. The room was quite tired and the carpets need a damn good clean. But the bedding was clean and the shower was hot and powerful. Parking is a plenty as it’s a service station, remember to put your reg number in or you’ll be fined. It is quite noisy as it’s a 24hr site. So bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. It’s ok for a one night stop off, which would be the norm I would suspect. But it’s not a place for any length of time. The only food choices are Maccies which I believe is 24hours, and a Costa which opened at about 8:30am. As I said. It’s ok for a stop off ….

Convenient location. Polite staff and clean room. Shop and Mcdonalds are located next door so if you're hungry you don't have to travel far to eat.

Pet friendly. Helpful receptionist. Convenient location even if heading south.

Cheap and basic hotel that is in need of a refurbishment. Arrived later than planned as motoway junction was closed and its not obvious how to get into a motorway service station where this place is when the motorway itself is shut ! Reception guy was friendly and efficient as he could be at midnight. Room was very worn inc dents and marks and wall and stains on chair seat. Ironically they scan a credut card at checkin to cover any damage caused. Bathroom was tatty and worn, but functional. No noise disturbance overnight and noone at reception to discuss how to get the 25% discount at adjoing Costa and McD’s as mentioned in booking

This days inn although clean very tired and could do with upgrading and although I am a dog lover and owner the hotel should set aside room for guests staying with their dog as my room 12 did smell a bit of damp dog but it was clean would I stay again yes as it reasonably priced for the area and you don't have to rush back to find a parking space as plenty of them

The Check in process was good and without fault. The 2 rooms we had were another matter. The actual bedrooms were ok for an overnight stay, a bit in need of a touch of paint and a little refurbishment. The bathrooms on the other hand were abysmal. Loose toilet seat, broken door catch, broken tiles, badly stained grout, rusty toilet roll holders, the list is endless. As we were only there for the one night we put up with all that. Then to add insult to injury when my wife plugged the fitted hair dryer in, the plug blew up as she switched it on at the wall. I think this issue had been reported before but not fixed as there was a spare hair dryer on top of the wardrobe already. When we went to check out I pressed the bell at reception only to be ignored by the staff who were on the other side of the shutter. I knew she was in the office as I had see her through the office windows when I was put bags in the car. After knocking on the shutter the receptionist appeared. I informed her about the blown plug which was a danger to anyone who followed us into the room. I also informed her that there were many problems with the bathrooms. She apologised but didn’t seem too bothered about anything. Give some positives, the Towels were large and clean, the bed linen was clean. The room was dog friendly. Would I use this hotel again?. Even at £102.00 for the night, not a chance.

Hotel was fine for an overnight stay while picking my son up from university. Some fittings looked tired but it was clean and staff were friendly.

She muttered to herself a lot and eventually, mid check in, wandered off for a while saying she needed to do something. This seemed to be about labels for me keys as she came back and sellotaped a number to the key (the number was already etched on it). She was quite pointless and took loads of time checking us in. The room was old, badly maintained and dirty. We would never stay with this chain again.

Don’t stay here. Please look elsewhere. It is in desperate need of cleaning and refurbishment. The room carpet was filthy, with caked-in stains. The mattresses were probably older than me, sinking each time you moved. The bathroom smelled bad and no one cleaned the room. The doors were creaky, you could hear guests in the next room and from the car park. Not a pleasant night’s sleep at all. The plug sockets were actually dangerous.

Group of three checked in and moved out to another hotel within an hour - hygiene issues, rooms weren't clean or tidy - terrible experience.

Found a stain on my quilt cover spoke to reception and they changed it straight away Apart from that a perfect night's sleep

We stayed in the day s in at Hamilton service s North bound there s was no hot water in room 36 in the disabled room apart from that it was the room was good and clean

The property is in need of refurbishment. Dirty walls in the room, broken toilet,rusty shower. Towels were all stained and no washing liquid in the bottle. Bed linen was clean but the room had a specific smell of old not in the good way. The check in was fast and the staff smiling and helpful. Noise from the motorway and you can here everything that happens on the hallway

Its a place to sleep, nothing more. Bedding was clean and beds faily comfy. Decore very much in need of upgrade, bathrooms mouldy

Staff were friendly but hotel was very poor. The place is completely run down and dirty. Green slime growing around headboard. Black mould in bathroom. Toilet doesn’t flush properly. Sink surround damaged and dirty. Desk surface was sticky, I dread to think with what. No food available in hotel at all, I was directed to McDonalds next door or Costa (which closes at 6:00pm). Next morning when I was leaving, reception was shuttered so nobody to give feedback to. Very poor hotel. Better to sleep in your car.

Does what it says on the tin- clean, comfortable bed, heating if you wanted and good sound proofing. Carpets worn.

We've stayed here before and have had no issues, but unfortunately the room we were in this time had mattresses that were on their last legs and really uncomfortable. We also had a very noisy family either above or beside us who had their young children running about and shouting long after midnight. Not a restful night

TV was terrible, one channel only and the HDMI ports didn't function. Convenient location, 24 hour food availability which suited my needs. Wi-fi seemed reliable.

The mattress were very lumpy & soft. Need new ones for sure.

The staff were helpful, property location was good, the single beds for the kids were perfect but the adult bed mattress was terrible.... thats the cheapest landlord mattress you can buy on the market. Improve the double mattress and ensure rooms smell fresh then its a 5 star review.

this hotel is looking a feeling bit tired, but still everything functioning as it should, descent shower and beds etc. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a country park if you fancy a mooch around. With the property being in the M74 service area it can get a bit noisy with wagons comming and going.

Very tired but in a convenient location for travelling. Staff were good and helpful but the bed probably should have been replaced some time ago. No food at the hotel but McDonalds and Costa Coffee is right next door.

As a whole the hotel was okay it was clean and tidy. However I stayed for 3 nights and could barley sleep the matteress was well and truly destroyed the springs dug in and you sank straight to the divan base. One of the plug sockets was broken and didn't hold the plug in making it spark when you plug something in. The shower head was full of limescale and there was no towel rack.

No one running desk until 3 pm daily. Ask for the room to be cleaned and new towels. Bed made , one towel left and no trash taken out. Advertised a discount at the food place next door but when asked about it they seem to know nothing about it.

Stay at hotel regularly. Checked in yesterday and spoke to gentleman on reception and requested late check out. Gentleman advised yes and had booked us untill 12:30 today. Verrrrrry rude cleaner banged on door at 11:15am telling me I had to leave as she had to clean. Explained that I had late booking and booked with reception. Still continued to be rude and told us to leave. Told us we had to get ready and go. Went to reception and pressed buzzer to complain and she came round the corner smirking and told me no reception available till 3 and made me very uncomfortable. Asked how I contacted a proper receptionist as this was an agreed booking and she laughed and said come back to hotel at 3pm and let me clean. Verrry disappointed as I genuinely like this hotel and use almost every weekend. Disrespectful cleaning staff that find it acceptable to be rude and smirk is not the cleaning staff you want to be working around paying guests!

Excellent. Douglas on reception was so helpful.

There was a problem with the bathroom sink that staff were aware of, but they still put us in the room. They offered to move us after we had unpacked our things. We declined.

Hotel itself is tired and needs a refurb, that said beds were comfy and clean. The reception staff ( Darren) was excellent. Nothing too much trouble and a really pleasant young man. Thank you Darren.

I really enjoyed my stay had a good rest and getting out for a walk round Strathclyde park 10min away and over to Hamilton just close by to for the vue

Booked as a pitstop on a late night/early morning journey. The room was perfectly fine and served the purpose.

Fire alarm went off 7.50 Complete power failure shortly after. No shower no food no lights! Very disappointed

Stayed in a family room when we needed a stopover near Glasgow at short notice. The hotel is no frills, but the room was warm, the beds were comfortable, the wifi was free and the staff were friendly. The decor was tired and other than the service station there is no catering available. This is perfect if you want a basic, comfortable place to stay. You get what you pay for. Would book again
