The Exeter Inn

Personal hatte keinen Bock ! Zimmer einigermaßen o.k. Aber laut , direkt an der Straße! Bad gut aber die Heizung auf volle Pulle und nicht regulierbar ! Frühstück war auch gut .

Rooms very clean, big and cosy

We used the Exeter inn as a stop over going on to Cornwall. It was advertised as a four star hotel but I don’t think it warrants that rating. Our room was not in good decorative order and could have done with a good deep clean. This unfortunately is the case for the rest of the hotel. We ate there, the Sunday lunch was ok as was the breakfast and they were very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Exeter inn is in a great position in the Exe Valley and could be a really nice pub/hotel but it needs investment to get it to a reasonable standard. Until then it will remain a £60-70 a night hotel.

Complimentary bottle of water was nearly empty, only one of the 4 pillows had a cover, unfortunately only realised in the morning, so didn’t dare check the bed. Such a shame as with a little more care would be a nice place to stay

Great staff and owners. Very welcoming. Property is dirty and scruffy in the communal areas/outside. Needs a tidy up and regular maintenance/cleaning. Would stay again due to service and food
