Motel 6-Frederick, MD - Fort Detrick

Was probably the nastiest room I’ve stayed in ever. Bathroom sink still had the previous user shave cream and hairs in it as it did drain from the prior tenant before me. Toilet Was leaking around the wax seal and it’s been leaking a long time. From what I could tell an animal stayed in the room prior to me as it smelled like a wet dog. Disgusting. Staff had the motivation of molasses and done nothing. You’ve been warned.

Run down

First, when I go to get keys for the two rooms I booked. I was overcharged for one and that my booking did not include two rooms. The price I was charged for one room was about what my reservation for two rooms was. Our rooms were on two different floors. Not ideal if we were traveling with children. Then she checks and said you have a really good rate. Upon entering the room there was a musty smell. In the bathroom on the first floor room there was mold on celling in the shower. The phone in room did not work. When we went to the front desk to get extra blankets, my wife was told come back in an hour. When she went back they only had one blankets. The room on the second floor was a little better. But had the same smell and mold in the bathroom shower. The floors were not clean. My first and last experience with Motel 6, they will not have to, "LEAVE THE LIGHT ON FOR ME."

Good one night stop

First night was not good but it was resolved the next day! Shout out to Nicole for making things right! Wrote an initial review and cannot find it to edit. Admittedly upset upon arrival but appreciate it was taken care of!
