Really friendly staff, kept clean and painted although quite a bit of renovation needed. Could have benefited without guests (?) smoking joints outside the fire escape. I

Nice cheap rooms but the walls are like paper. Perhaps it was just bad luck on my part but I arrived at 1730 to hear rather passionate love making from one of the rooms. I then heard the same at two hourly intervals all of the second night. Perhaps some sound proofing wouldn’t go amiss as the low price point clearly attracts ‘lovebirds’ Good location and parking available.

1) parking at the hotel is now £10 per day. 2) cleanliness of our room was poor. I had to ask for clean mugs. The counter that the tv and kettle was on needed to be cleaned - i pointed this out to the manager. Overall the rooms are tired, carpets sticky , furniture needing cleaning. I have stayed here numerous times before and previously been happy with accomodation. It suits our purpose of somewhere to stay overnight.

Parking at £10 excessive

There was no heating in the room and the cleanliness was sub standard I also had to park my car away from the hotel as they wanted to charge me which wasn’t mentioned prior to my booking.

I love this hotel. It’s friendly and affordable with FREE parking, on a bus route 10 mins from city centre. No food provided but it is literally surrounded by nice places to eat or takeaway.

Friendly welcome. The room was basic, as described, but it had everything I needed, and they accommodated my request for a ground-floor room. Checking in and out was easy too. It looked like they were having some decorating done, but it didn't cause any problems. I would visit again.

The rooms are basic but come with everything you need, bed, shower and toilet along with body and hand wash. The reception is staffed 24 hours per day and the last that greeted when I arrived was friendly.

Lovely place, will definitely stay again. If you want luxury & silence in your room, this isn't the place for you but if you want somewhere clean with all the basics and friendly staff for an overnight stay this is perfect. We had a double room with ensuite, all clean, tidy and comfortable. It had all of the basics we needed for an overnight visit. The staff are all lovely and so helpful. If you don't fancy the stroll to the center there is a bus stop right outside or reception will call you a cab. They don't service food but that's not an issue as there is a great cafe across the road for breakfast along with a Chinese, Indian and Pub. There is also a Lidl, small local convenience store and a coop all straight across the road so you definitely will not starve. This will now be our go to place to stay on future trips. Nice to support a small business instead of the big chains we often use.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!! It is very very dirty!!! You will come home either with BED BUGS or a skin infection. I had booked one night in this hotel for one of my colleagues, he called my at 9pm and explained the room is so dirty and disgusting he refuse to sleep in it. he was offered another room but it was no better. It was so bad he said he would rather sleep in his van. So he checked out and went to another hotel that was cheaper and CLEAN. The Bed was infested with bed bugs, the shower was mouldy and it looked like it had not been cleaned for months! And the carpet next to the bed looked like some one had died on it! Absolutely vile! This experience reflects a serious lapse in maintenance and hygiene practices. I would strongly recommend that management address these concerns immediately to prevent further reputational damage and potential health risks to future guests.

Worse place ive every stayed at was dirty depressing and uncomfortable. The bed was like a sofa bed that had parts messing and broken. The blinds parts where missing the window didnt close properly so had to use a towel to stop the draft as the bed was neara it. Theres marks on the floor tiles cracked. The bedding look like its seen better days pillow and duvet was flat. Didnt dare use the shower,left my shoes one all the time i was there. The room overall was depressing no pictures are colours. Walking to the room was dirty things on the floor even seen a peanut, headband. Will not be coming again.

Dear Sir or MAdam, The accommodation was scruffy and dirty, to the point where I had to have medical treatment, including steriods and anti - biotices due to sustaining bites all over my body from a dirty mattrass that had stains on it. Even the wall next to my bed had scratch marks on it. The shower had dirty bits in it too. The carpet in the room was dirty and had dirt marks on it, next to the bed. The bedding was years old and smelled musty. I spent 3 days in bed, due to the effect of the bites. I would like my money back. I look forward to your response. Thank you. Yours sincerely Pauline

Horrific would never stay again, duvet was dirty, tiles in bathroom all broken and hurt to walk on bare foot. Carpet dirty. Mattress was horrific

There is bed bug in this hotel, do not go there for anything.

The room was ok but the bed sheets were dirty. The shower was not clean

Have stayed before and found the place OK for the money. But this time the room and bedding felt dirty. The carpet for instance was sticky and sheets were not crisp as they should be if freshly laundered

property was dirty, uncleaned bedding was stained, 1/2 windows opened because the second was painted shut. drill plugs were sticking out in the walls, there was no off switch for the bathroom light, mould was growing in the shower but the staff were actually sweet ifs just a shame the rooms were less than ideal even for their price

Stains on the carpet. Shower mat was awful mold on the windows . Clean bedding but well used.

Very comfy beds. I don’t usually like a soft bed, but these were nice. Bedding was soft and pillows not too bulky. Had a good sleep. And Amiee, on reception was delightful x

Bit run down and small room

Up on arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome. However, once we entered the room it was a shock, it was extremely small. Also, in poor decorative condition. The toilet & shower did not have doors, instead there was a curtain! The bed was uncomfortable & because one side of the bed was pushed against the wall if you wanted to get out, you had to be careful not to bash your head on the small TV which was attached to the wall, at the end of the bed. The lights over the bed & sink they were poorly fitted hence why they probably didn't work! Only a small single wardrobe for 2 people. The kettle could not be boiled on the shelf provided as the lead could not reach the plug. The hotel appeared to house homeless residents. This would be ok if thats what this hotel is only used for. However, when the hotel is booking rooms for the general public then we should be made aware of their clientele. Paying an extra £20 to park ontop of what we paid was disgusting. We could have stayed in a Premier inn!

Walls are very thin so hard to sleep when next door got in very late. Blinds in bathroom need sorting out and so does the wiring of the shower. Nice micro pub across the road and cafe

Female working was amazing, so kind and lovely. Room was clean and nice, everything is a little outdated but well worth the money paid!

Booked four rooms at this hotel for a group travelling for work. They fed back to me that their rooms were dirty (beds looked as though they had already been slept in and the carpets were sticky!) The staff didn't look up to acknowledge them when they checked out, probably didn't want to deal with the negative response they knew they would get if they asked if everything had been alright. AVOID STAYING HERE if you have the choice.

Staff were great. For the price paid it was reasonable value.

The Mr. At the front desk is lovely, he recommends places to visit and he is kind. Also, he got me a taxi and talked to me until the taxi arrived.

Find another place, you will thank me later. Kept mentioning to me that they could cancel this and that, but when I asked them to accommodate they refused.

The Cotswold Hotel is a nice option to stay in Nottingham on a budget. The bus that runs to the city centre is right next to and across the street from the hotel. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay convenient for the theatre and music venues

The staff are very helpful and polite. The room was basic but this is all i needed. The bed was comfy and showet adequate.. the sausage/bacon and egg rolls in the morning are great value and fully recommend them. I would definitely try and stop there again if i was stopping in Nottingham.

The property is a decent hotel. You get what you paid for. The staffs are all pleasant and approachable. There are plenty of shops along the area. I recommend to those looking for budget friendly accommodation.

returning customer here. This is my go to place when in Nottingham for a night out ; being a frequent traveller I have to budget so I m very satisfied with everything , the price, the supermarket and the dinning options just over the road, the easiness to get to the centre, roughly 25 minutes walk of a few minutes bus ride . The bathroom , although small (as expected) was squeaky cleanl; The room itself will get you dated ( I don t care about this aspect ) but functional furniture , had a few hours of good sleep, I ll definitely be back agai; The staff are so friendly , you won t find this quite everywhere
