This was a 1-night stay for work. I would not normally stay in hotels at service areas, but this has pleasantly surprised me. The room (139) was on the ground floor and was spacious. Shower and toilet were separate from the basin, which did not bother me. TV and WiFi was good. Bed was comfortable, pillows could have been firmer (personal choice). Shower was okay. There was a large desk area to work at. Value wise it was great for the money. As it was in the service area there were a large number of choices of places to eat at, as well as food being served in the hotel.

As the room was a similar price to a travel lodge or premier inn, £80 a night. I expected similar quality but it was very basic. It felt a bit like a hospital room with the wipe clean faux leather furniture and blue colour scheme. The bed wasn't super comfortable but I slept fine. The sink took ages to drain which wasn't great when trying to shave and brush my teeth and there was a fan / aircon that ran all night sounding like a tractor above the door. It felt pretty clean. From the pictures, I had thought there was a bar to hang out in but it was just two beer taps at the end of the reception desk that were out of action as the 'lines were being cleaned' for the 2 days that I was there.
