The pool had bird poo around it and the actual pool itself had bird poo leaves dead flies insects and bees . The location of this hotel was good that’s about all . Management approaches me on leaving as I only gave him a 3 /5 star review . I said I would look again at it and his menacing response was “ I think you had better “ I have read notes on other reviews that the pool and management have been an issue . The management/staff ( only 2 running the whole hotel) ignored my husband when he said “good morning “ . The breakfast bearing in mind I have no idea whether this is actually four star hotel or a bed and breakfast was ok but plum tomatoes at breakfast is a bit poor . We had to pay Extra for the breakfast? Is it a b and b or hotel ? If it is a 4 star hotel then it absolutely needs to up it game . For me I would class this as a 2 star and that health and safety should check for the cleanliness of all areas . Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of the pool area with the flies and the badly maintained area around the grounds but I which I had as proof that this hotel is not up to stratch .

The hotel was lovely, and Linda & Des were VERY welcoming and accommodating. They have a little “shop” where you can buy toiletries, wine, drinks, crisps, snacks etc which was very convenient. The breakfasts were AMAAAAZING - lots of options! The only down side was the water was not hot and the water pressure in the shower was low.
