Check in was super easy and greeted with a friendly smile and plenty of parking, room was clean and very spacious, plenty of tea and coffee, bed was comfy and a good size, downside was we were woken at 11.30pm by other guests who had arrived it sounded like elephants above us you could hear kids running around along the corridor, we had a 6 hour drive the following day so I did call down to reception regarding this. We had room 110 on the first floor. Breakfast was really good full cooked options with cereals, fruits, fruit juices with tea and coffee options we had breakfast at 9am which was extremely busy. All in all a good stay it just a shame we were woken by inconsiderate guests.

Was a very last min booking, bit out of the way & we didn't know the area at all. Staff helpful, shops & places for food nearby. Breakfast included, problem with coffee machine, staff stepped in & made coffee from the bar. Would return if in the area & needed a place to stop

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very quiet and Aircon worked perfectly. Breakfast was good. Only thing that could be improved would be a real coffee machine for breakfast drinks, quite disappointed only to have instant coffee

Very friendly, yet professional staff, also very efficient, the room was exceptionally clean, in all areas and all the room facilities were excellent........there was an excellent choice for breakfast, catering for everyone, everything was fresh, the cooked food was hot and a great choice of drinks, hot and cold.......we didn't use the bar, but it looked very clean with a good range of drinks.......all in all a very enjoyable stay and we'll definitely be back, thank you.

I booked an accessible room as I was travelling with my mother who has a wheelchair. Disabled parking bays right next to reception and plenty of parking, all free made arrival easy. The room was spacious enough for the wheelchair and the roll in shower with seat had great water pressure. Pull cords in bedroom and bathroom. Lowered basin etc. Beds were very comfortable. We needed a fridge to store my Mums insulin, they let us use the hotel fridge. We were severely delayed by the M25 closure and arrived after midnight. I kept Laura on the front desk updated and advised we would not arrive until 1am. So glad we booked this hotel and not a small hotel or BnB as arriving after midnight would have been a huge issue. The hotel has 24hr manned front desk and we received a warm welcome from Brendan. The staff in the hotel are fantastic and cannot do enough for you. I have been an IHG member since 2010 and can say whoever trained the staff here knows exactly what the word Hospitality means to guests! A big thank you to the staff and management and we will certainly return.

We sadly was disappointed with this Holiday inn Express. Room smelt musty and carpet not clean. Foot prints in bathroom (not ours) shower head leaked more water and where you turn it on. Breakfast was disgusting, sausages white, bacon very pale. No proper coffee machine. We should of been warned before booking that the hotel was having a refurb and that they had no proper kitchen/dining area. Other Holiday inn express we have stayed at rooms and breakfasts been 5* so we was shocked by this one sadly. On a plus the staff are extremely friendly and give a lovely welcome.

Our stay was terrible, the hotel is full of imigrants, children running up and down corridor and room propped open, the place is so run down, rooms were unclean, remote didnt work, some toiletries were empty, stain in bathroom and mould and marks on walls in bedroom ,lamp shades all split, noise from road.

The carpet in the room was heavily stained in multiple areas which gave a very poor first impression. The rest of the hotal was nice. The room we were given was on the road side and was quite noisy from the traffic.

As soon as you walked into room it smelt like a sewer, which we found out came from the bathroom. Foot towel had long black hair on it. Toilet roll holder under flap full of black mould and shower trap covered in black mould. Tv remote didnt work. Reported to reception & about the sewer smell. To be told she will change the remote batteries and soray air freshener in bathroom.(not the answer we was expecting to get rid of sewer smell) which we had to breath in each time we used the bathroom. Making us gag. Breakfast nice variety but was not hot. The scrambled egg does not taste of eggs

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn. There was a musty smell though throughout the hotel , I know they are undergoing a refurb, so that may be why. Breakfast was amazing.

Booked this as a stop over whilst attending an event at Sheffield arena. The hotel seems to be undergoing a rolling restoration which was documented in the booking info, the room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed however we where on the main road side and there is a lot of road noise which the double glazing doesnt seem to block out. Breakfast was ok but the service was poor there arent enough tables for the amount of guests at the hotel and there seemed to be one young man running about trying whilst a couple of what looked like managers just wandered about. Overall given the price which included breakfast it was a reasonable stay but could do better.

It’s okay for the price. Reception staff very friendly. Big and spacious hotel. Negative points: WiFi very weak- could not have an important video conference call. Also smart tv not connected to internet is a bigger. Housekeeping basically not existent during my 5 night stay. Breakfast quality pretty poor. Food was cold, bacon horrible. However it was free, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Was woken up by phone, when not for me, also by staff entering room at 11.30 at night, they were not given informaion about it being occupied. Bit worring, the girl on desk next morning appoligised Children running around in corridoors till very late, if stayex again would like quieter area.

The receptionist was very nice, welcoming, friendly and helpful she checked us in speedily, have us the information we wanted regarding evening meal and breakfast. The room was very comfortable and nice, it was quiet, WiFi was good, breakfast was freshly cooked, there was a good selection and it was delicious. Would recommend them.

I booked an accessible room as I was travelling with my mother who has a wheelchair. Disabled parking bays right next to reception and plenty of parking, all free made arrival easy. The room was spacious enough for the wheelchair and the roll in shower with seat had great water pressure. Pull cords in bedroom and bathroom. Lowered basin etc. Beds were very comfortable. We needed a fridge to store my Mums insulin, they let us use the hotel fridge. We were severely delayed by the M25 closure and arrived after midnight. I kept Laura on the front desk updated and advised we would not arrive until 1am. So glad we booked this hotel and not a small hotel or BnB as arriving after midnight would have been a huge issue. The hotel has 24hr manned front desk and we received a warm welcome from Brendan. The staff in the hotel are fantastic and cannot do enough for you. I have been an IHG member since 2010 and can say whoever trained the staff here knows exactly what the word Hospitality means to guests! A big thank you to the staff and management and we will certainly return.

Booked this as a stop over whilst attending an event at Sheffield arena. The hotel seems to be undergoing a rolling restoration which was documented in the booking info, the room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed however we where on the main road side and there is a lot of road noise which the double glazing doesnt seem to block out. Breakfast was ok but the service was poor there arent enough tables for the amount of guests at the hotel and there seemed to be one young man running about trying whilst a couple of what looked like managers just wandered about. Overall given the price which included breakfast it was a reasonable stay but could do better.

Was a very last min booking, bit out of the way & we didn't know the area at all. Staff helpful, shops & places for food nearby. Breakfast included, problem with coffee machine, staff stepped in & made coffee from the bar. Would return if in the area & needed a place to stop

The carpet in the room was heavily stained in multiple areas which gave a very poor first impression. The rest of the hotal was nice. The room we were given was on the road side and was quite noisy from the traffic.

It’s okay for the price. Reception staff very friendly. Big and spacious hotel. Negative points: WiFi very weak- could not have an important video conference call. Also smart tv not connected to internet is a bigger. Housekeeping basically not existent during my 5 night stay. Breakfast quality pretty poor. Food was cold, bacon horrible. However it was free, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Likes: The buffet breakfast (included in the price), was outstanding. The equal of any to be found in more expensive hotels. The staff were exceptional. Several were seen over the 2 days, but all were very polite and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was clean, with a large super-king bed and a good en-suite bathroom. Dislikes: The carpets in the bedroom corridors on level 3 have seen better days. The on-off controls on the shower in room 350 were difficult to move with wet hands. Also the shower tray did not drain properly, leaving a small pool of water on the vinyl floor covering, which required mopping up to avoid it becoming a slip hazard. We stayed for 2 nights and noted that the room was not made-up between sleeps. This was not an issue for us, and perhaps it is standard practice these days - we don't usually stay in hotels for multiple nights. I don't usually complete questionnaires to rate purchases, but I felt that this hotel exceeded our expectations and deserves some recognition.

Very friendly, yet professional staff, also very efficient, the room was exceptionally clean, in all areas and all the room facilities were excellent........there was an excellent choice for breakfast, catering for everyone, everything was fresh, the cooked food was hot and a great choice of drinks, hot and cold.......we didn't use the bar, but it looked very clean with a good range of drinks.......all in all a very enjoyable stay and we'll definitely be back, thank you.

As soon as you walked into room it smelt like a sewer, which we found out came from the bathroom. Foot towel had long black hair on it. Toilet roll holder under flap full of black mould and shower trap covered in black mould. Tv remote didnt work. Reported to reception & about the sewer smell. To be told she will change the remote batteries and soray air freshener in bathroom.(not the answer we was expecting to get rid of sewer smell) which we had to breath in each time we used the bathroom. Making us gag. Breakfast nice variety but was not hot. The scrambled egg does not taste of eggs

The staff members we met were super helpful. The parking is good and the hotel is relatively easy to find. As with all Holiday Inn Express hotels breakfast is included and breakfast was good. We booked the hotel as it advertises air conditioning. This works very well in the ground floor public areas. Staircases are understandably not air conditioned. The air conditioning in the rooms is poor at best. Our room did not get cool during our whole stay even though the aircon was on full continuously. Others who we spoke with at breakfast expressed their disappointment with the in room aircon. The room was however ok and .

Booked this hotel as a part way kne night stopover. On arrival we were welcomed at reception by Chad who checked us in and gave us a comprehensive guide to everything in the hotel. Our bedroom was huge and very clean. We made our way to the restaurant and had a nice meal cooked for us by a young lady who I sadly didn't her name. We had a hood nights sleep followed by a real nice breakfast. Best of all was the price of £62 including breakfast. I would like to add that Chad was very informative, helpful and is a credit to thus hotel. We would certainly stay here again.
