Great location, nice cabins on the surface but not maintained particularly well. Towel rails loose and falling off; bathroom sliding door off its runners, kitchen tap not screwed down so won’t pivot; wifi woeful - needed to be in the Bar or not at all. Phone reception is also very limited so it made work really frustrating. Nice staff and great bar though!

Stayed in the AO Bungalows. Very quiet and private. Great views. Bungalow was beautifully designed. Everything available for a great weekend away. Great pool. Bar/restaurant on site but never noisy.

Kitchen had none of normal facilities. No plates, knives, toaster. No microwave which we needed to heat medical heat pads. Pub not open for breakfast, so no alternative other than to go out of premises. No parking near bungalow or trolley for bags.

The resort was excellent. Beautiful location and very fancy resort. We stayed in a two bedroom villa and had our own individual parking spot underneath the villa which was very convenient. Lovely clean accommodation and lots of room. We had a partial ocean view which was nice. Very friendly staff and lovely restaurant (esp. the yummy spring rolls). Also close to an IGA and some local shops within walking distance. Mawson's Cafe next to IGA is great and perfect for breakfast as the onsite restaurant at the resort isn't opened for breakfast. Highly recommended. I would definitely stay here again.

- amazing location right in front of the beach - couples focused, very cute and cosy - restaurant is nice and good views - really nice bathroom and bedroom - beach itself is lovely and quiet - we stayed in the bungalows which is specific for couples, really nice However - - no breakfast options at all, directed to walk up the road to a cafe - no door to the toilet…? No privacy required here… bit odd… - absolute and horrendously TRASH WiFi. Beyond a joke really. Given there is pretty much zero mobile reception the WiFi is important - and it was pathetic

Great location. Property had several issues. Wifi did not work, 4 TV's but none had an aerial so could not watch, the aircon could not cool down the house very weak.

Internet didn’t work. We found eventually that they had unplugged everything not sure why they would do that. Blind for the shower didn’t work downstairs. Internet was the biggest irritant as I had to do some work

Great place to stop by and enjoy food and drinks by the water, beautiful outdoor area. If you’re vegetarian, you’ve got a couple of good options if you’re stopping by. But if you’re staying at the Caves for a few nights like we did, and wanted to dine in most meals, the vegetarian options are pretty limited. Our room wasn’t well cleaned when we arrived, the bathroom floors in particular. The property looks like it could be refreshed, the steel beams were significantly rusted. The bungalows were quiet, private and beautiful and we enjoyed our time there.

Our room was absolutely spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped — everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We couldn’t fault a thing — clean, quiet, and excellent value. Highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a perfect stay!

Lovely quiet bungalow facing a pond and a shrt walk to the beach. Room is spacious with large seatng area at the front. Open bathroom is starting to age with noisy ceiling fans, sticky rusted stoppers and mold on the mirror frames behind each sink. Small kitchenette with rounded sink that splash water onto the counter top.

Very pleased with my stay here at caves coastal. The rooms were immaculate, very clean and the views are incredible. The location is perfect! I didn’t have to drive anywhere, it’s a walking distance if you do need anything at the local iga just a few hundred metres on the street. Restaurant is located also on the property as well as another restaurant located next to the Iga. Definitely enjoyed my stay and would love to come back here again

The most important thing to know is that there is NO DOOR ON THE TOILET in the bungalows. Nothing to provide any privacy between the loo and the bed. There is also no privacy curtain in the property so your options are to either have the black out curtain drawn or have everyone walking past looking straight into your bedroom so no way to appreciate the view. This didn’t deliver what I would expect from a 4-star hotel- the only toiletries provided were two tiny tablets of hand soap, no shampoo, shower gel, etc. The air conditioning in our unit didn’t seem to work, and there were lots of cobwebs. The location is great but I would book elsewhere in future.

Amazing one night stay in the beach bungalow! Felt like we were in a boathouse as it sat overlooking the lagoon! Beautiful nature, very peaceful and stunning views of the ocean! Huge comfortable bed, very clean and loved the massive bath to soak in after a long day!

My bungalow was beautiful. Only problem was that I was the unlucky one who got Bungalow 1 assigned. That one is next to the bar/restaurant, so bit noisy until curfew. Plus everyone from the other bungalows had to use the gate next to mine to get to the bar & some people from the accommodation behind used that gate to get to the beach. So more noise and less privacy. If you exclude this, my stay was amazing. Underneath parking, beautiful bungalow and just a few steps away from the beach. Nice cafe up the road (Boffee Cafe) for breakfast as well as an IGA. So everything walkable for a lacy long weekend

Nice little Bungalows which overlooked the water which is always a nice touch. However, for $430 a night things felt a little unfinished/unmaintained. The fridge did not shut all the way (didnt keep any of our drinks cold) and the airconditioning was excessively loud. Things you would expect to be there weren't i.e. no robes in the room, nothing to put into the bath (salts, soaks bubbles etc) which is a feature of the room. It was also really loud when others would return to their bungalows - the gates do not have soft close on them and slam shut waking us up at all hours. The stay was nice enough but for the price point I would not stay again.

Nice room. Comfort bed and pillow i love it. But at night time 8.30 pm fire alarm is noise around 30 min i try to contact but can't. I think you should give us for emergency call.

Really disappointed on our stay. Arrived with tv and fridge not working, told staff in the morning and still had not repaired in the afternoon. No compensation was offered and staff were not helpful after multiple prompts. Will not recommend after the price we paid and quality of customer service.

Firstly they cancelled my booking a week prior to my stay and their excuse was that i didnt pay depsoit but booking through expedia was not mentioned any where about paying depsoit just pay full on day of check in, however paid depsoit as they requested as the rude lady on the phone had stated that she would not honour my booking till depsoit been made and bluntly had told me first in best dressed Secondly my partner had went to check in and to pay final balance and once again a very rude lady at reception had tried to tell my partner that nothing had been paid despite myself paying a $700 deposit which was not allocated to my booking. Thirdly, they wouldnt give my partner the room key as his name wasnt on the booking as it was in my name which was understandable. But when i had went there about an hour later collect room key i was told balance needed to be paid before they would give me the key depsite my partner already paying this. Fourth, toom sheeting had stains, blinds were so worn there were pin holed all the eay through, shower was disgusting with mould on grout in tiles. For the price i had paid i would not recommend espically their rude incompetent staff.

Firstly they cancelled my booking a week prior to my stay and their excuse was that i didnt pay depsoit but booking through expedia was not mentioned any where about paying depsoit just pay full on day of check in, however paid depsoit as they requested as the rude lady on the phone had stated that she would not honour my booking till depsoit been made and bluntly had told me first in best dressed Secondly my partner had went to check in and to pay final balance and once again a very rude lady at reception had tried to tell my partner that nothing had been paid despite myself paying a $700 deposit which was not allocated to my booking. Thirdly, they wouldnt give my partner the room key as his name wasnt on the booking as it was in my name which was understandable. But when i had went there about an hour later collect room key i was told balance needed to be paid before they would give me the key depsite my partner already paying this. Fourth, toom sheeting had stains, blinds were so worn there were pin holed all the eay through, shower was disgusting with mould on grout in tiles. For the price i had paid i would not recommend espically their rude incompetent staff.

Our room was absolutely spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped — everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Management needs changing. Rude beyond and very unhelpful. Four night stay. Three very unsatisfactory. Housekeeping basically non existent. Filthy decks and chairs and tables. No service for $400 a night at all. Having been five times I’ll now use my money elsewhere. Caves used to be great when management managed the issues which have unfortunately never changed. With a princess as a manager there’s no hope. Go elsewhere. Trust me !!!

Great location, lovely to look out over their wetlands to the ocean, beautiful walk along the beach to cave and yummy breaky at the surf club. Good to have dining option onsite after a big days drive.

The place was lovely, we had a view of the sea from our bungalow and it's a great location for exploring the area. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was great in the bar. My only complaint was the movement sensor lights at night. They were so bright every time someone walked past it lit up the room. Some low level lighting would have been better. The outdoor furniture could use some new cushions too. And although it mentions a kitchenette, it's really just a fridge and tea/coffee. Luckily we had some camping crockery and cutlery in the car! But overall a great stay, we will definitely be back.

Great place to stop by and enjoy food and drinks by the water, beautiful outdoor area. If you’re vegetarian, you’ve got a couple of good options if you’re stopping by. But if you’re staying at the Caves for a few nights like we did, and wanted to dine in most meals, the vegetarian options are pretty limited. Our room wasn’t well cleaned when we arrived, the bathroom floors in particular. The property looks like it could be refreshed, the steel beams were significantly rusted. The bungalows were quiet, private and beautiful and we enjoyed our time there.

Very nice bungalows near the stunning beach and near the main reception / bar / restaurant which makes it practical for access. Clean and nice rooms with very good beds. The adjacent restaurant has good menu options and very good food. Very nice stay all round!

The restaurant and the bar were great. Food was tasty. The bungalow I stayed in was very comfortable and very clean. The complex is very close to the beach, just a short walk .

- amazing location right in front of the beach - couples focused, very cute and cosy - restaurant is nice and good views - really nice bathroom and bedroom - beach itself is lovely and quiet - we stayed in the bungalows which is specific for couples, really nice However - - no breakfast options at all, directed to walk up the road to a cafe - no door to the toilet…? No privacy required here… bit odd… - absolute and horrendously TRASH WiFi. Beyond a joke really. Given there is pretty much zero mobile reception the WiFi is important - and it was pathetic

The air con wasn't working, and I approached the staff and was told that they can't do anything. No staff was available to even look at the reason why the air con wasn't working. It could have simply been a tripped circuit breaker, but no one was even available to check. I had driven the whole day and was extremely tired by the time I reached the property and could not sleep the whole night. I woke up terribly tired after whatever sleep I could get during the night. Otherwise, a great place to stay. Location was awesome. Just had a lot of cobwebs on the furniture under the balcony. If these minor issues are fixed, I would highly recommend this place for newlywed couples. This could be just my personal experience, but this is the only way I can share it.
