Wonderful staff, very eager to help at all times. Bar staff is excellent, really knew his stuff and made some very well mixed cocktails. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and food was outstanding, a real highlight of our trip.

The Prince Akatoki London offers a unique, affordable, and memorable experience. Passing in and out of reception to while exploring London, we were always greeted with a very warm welcome that was incredibly comfortable and welcomed. The room, reception, restaurant, and bar were all beautifully designed with a unique style breaking from the normal hotel model. We will absolutely return to this hotel and seek out other similar properties from the group. Thank you to all of the team that made our stay special.

Great location. Concierge were always happy to help with any request. Breakfast was well done and the bar and restaurant were great places to dine when you do not want to venture too far. Well situated. Close to Mayfair. Enjoyed the comp tickets to the MOCA museum. Nice spacious clean peaceful rooms

I only stayed one night and staff couldn’t have made the stay more comfortable. Hallways were dark but room was bright and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Not much of a lobby. Missed out on live entertainment in the restaurant (which sounded awesome—should have lingered a little longer to hear more). Lovely hotel, would absolutely recommend.

the location is great, rooms are pretty and clean, quiet, great bedding. The bathrooms are dated. Room service does not work at night, the food is average to mediocre and overpriced for the quality you get. Had an issue with wine list - I don't mind paying 80 gbp for a bottle of wine but I do mind drinking the wine that is actually 8 gbp per bottle. Overall is you need a comfortable place to sleep - the Prince Akatoki is perfect, if you're looking for a luxury experience - there are better alternatives in the area.

This luxury hotel was so welcoming and warm. There is a sense of serenity and calmness to it. The room has a beautiful tranquil decor plus such comfortable bed and pillows making the stay one of the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed. The gym is also exquisite. Absolutely loved it. Dining wise, the omakase meal prepared by chef Kazuyo was divine. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Service through was fantastic. Would be coming back again for sure!

Not what we expected from a five star hotel. Certainly not at the price we paid. We got a room with a sloping floor, with a medium level of cleanliness and not meticulous. The breakfast was poor and performed at a low level. Disappointing experience.

I moved my stay at the hotel. Everything was spotless. I liked the matcha teas, they have a variety of food choices at breakfast. The room was very clean and there are heated floors in the bathrooms. The staff are very friendly. I would stay again.

Amazing week at The Prince Akatoki hotel. Wonderful rooms - clean, modern. Very comfortable king sized bed with plush bedding. Nice bathroom with modern shower and vanity. Small hotel that feels very private and quiet. Probably only 40-50 rooms total. Conveniently located next to marble arch underground station and minutes from Hyde Park. Highly recommend for short or long stays if you’re looking for comfort, privacy, and a good night’s sleep.

The hotel was very clean, breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and staff was very attentive. The plugs worked for North American appliances and there was a mini fridge and lots of free bottled water.

Cleanliness in the Junior suite was an issue but housekeeping was quick to fix the several concerns I found (bathroom floor and toilet not cleaned, stains on the bedsheets and pillows, floors messy, etc). Of note, there was a bad smell in the room upon check in, I asked a housekeeper for room spray and he repeated to me that “the room spray was only for special guests”… This comment made me uncomfortable and unwelcomed…as all guests should be treated special and a clean room should not smell like food and body odor. I brought this issue to the managers attention and he unapologetically and sternly mentioned that another attendant provided the spray and insinuated that the worrisome comment should be a nonissue. I felt more of a burden than a guest at the Akatoki, I would have left immediately after check in but I booked a non refundable rate (lesson learned). They did offer a $75 off for my two-night stay. Although the hotel is Japanese-decor, the service, cleanliness, and hospitality is not. Compliments to the woman that provided turn-down service she put efforts to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

Beautiful hotel for my 12 year old son and I for a 2 night stay in London. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, a few minutes walk to the Marble Arch tube station. I’d definitely stay again.

This hotel is a gem. Unable to stay at The Montcalm nearby, as it is being refurbished, this was a great find. You get a warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are well designed, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with lots of surfaces to store things on - towels and robes are clean, fluffy and (unusually) don't smell of breakfast. A fridge is filled with complimentary soft drinks, some of which are nicely quirky (I had a sugar-free yuzu drink) but the snacks are £3 each. This seems unneccessary - but the vegan cheese and onion crisps were delightful and filled a hole. Mallin and Goetz toiletries are a nice touch - only enough for one shower though. Also, had to use a hand soap which is wasteful. Liquid soap in a refillable bottle would have been better. I enjoyed a cup of tea in the Japanese tea pot and cup - nice touch. Two small problems: The light in the wardrobe did not switch off as the door did not close fully. This could have been annoying. Also, while the shower was nicely powerful, the bath did not drain quickly enough and I was standing in 2-3 inches of water. My real gripe is that this place is really expensive. I got a deal and had some credits - at £300 or so, it is good value. Sadly, it is generally £100-£200 more than this.

Unfortunately, this hotel is a travesty- the only positive is the location, which allows you to be outside the hotel. We arrived early, at 1:15 pm, for a 3 pm check-in and let the front desk know we needed two twins vs. a queen, said we were happy to wait until check-in time but they told us it would only be 5-10 min so we should hang around. Then they told me it was $100 pounds additional for twin beds. After 1.5 hours and some stern words with the front desk, our room was ready, we were told three different reasons why it was late (tv issue, housekeeping problem, separating the bed..) When we arrived to the room, it was incredibly small with the beds simply two touching twin mattresses on a queen frame (we paid an extra 100 pounds for this!) - the accessories in the room were Ikea, the bathroom was outdated, and you could not turn off the heated towel rack in the back of the shower when showering. We flushed the toilet in the evening, and it would not stop running/gurgling. I was already asleep, but my friend had to be put in a different room because the hotel could not fix it. She was placed in a room below the hotel. Additionally, weird items: turn down service with teapot and cups (cute) but no hot water anywhere to be found for the tea. Bag tags snapped off luggage with nothing said. I truly have never had an experience like this at what was supposed to be a high end hotel, more in line with a Residence Inn.

Upgrade upon check in offered only upon reminder and then a room on the first floor looking into the backyard. Otherwise pleasant and clean hotel. Very low ceilings and shower therefore a bit claustrophobic. Staff extremely friendly and attentive.

The property is very well located, the hotel is new, rooms very well equipped , reception and concierge staff is great especially Adrian which is super helpful and nice, but we were given the smallest room in the property, as per the room plan published on the back of our room door, and worse than that the smallest queen size bed we saw ( 140 cm width only). We are both big people, so we had a sleepless night, and the reception never offered to upgrade us for being Expedia Gold, we had to ask, and we were offered o room on the basement in their third building which had a king size bed but was smelling like mold so, unfortunately, we had to decline. Breakfast was a mess. Except for the guy who was taking the order we had a lady who spoke no word of English to help us, and the buffet was constantly empty. The coffee very good but super small, the poached eggs came stone cold on a white dry piece of bread. they offered us the breakfast complimentary against the voucher given as Expedia Gold but I must say it was a total loss. If they will improve the service a bit and be more attentive towards who's the client, the hotel can be a good stay in London even though expensive for what they offer at this moment. Adrian though was kind enough to offer us a discount voucher in case we would come back.

Breakfast was a mess. Except for the guy who was taking the order we had a lady who spoke no word of English to help us, and the buffet was constantly empty. The coffee very good but super small, the poached eggs came stone cold on a white dry piece of bread. they offered us the breakfast complimentary against the voucher given as Expedia Gold but I must say it was a total loss. If they will improve the service a bit and be more attentive towards who's the client, the hotel can be a good stay in London even though expensive for what they offer at this moment. Adrian though was kind enough to offer us a discount voucher in case we would come back.

This luxury hotel was so welcoming and warm. There is a sense of serenity and calmness to it. The room has a beautiful tranquil decor plus such comfortable bed and pillows making the stay one of the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed. The gym is also exquisite. Absolutely loved it. Dining wise, the omakase meal prepared by chef Kazuyo was divine. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Service through was fantastic. Would be coming back again for sure!

Amazing week at The Prince Akatoki hotel. Wonderful rooms - clean, modern. Very comfortable king sized bed with plush bedding. Nice bathroom with modern shower and vanity. Small hotel that feels very private and quiet. Probably only 40-50 rooms total. Conveniently located next to marble arch underground station and minutes from Hyde Park. Highly recommend for short or long stays if you’re looking for comfort, privacy, and a good night’s sleep.

Fire alarm went off at 2am for no reason. Had to go downstairs to the reception, as nobody was answering the phone. There was nobody there. Waited a few minutes for an employee. He then told me and other guests that everything was alright. As was I turning around to go back to my room, the alarm went off again, nonstop, and we were told to evacuate the building. We stayed 40 minutes in the middle of the street, in freezing cold. The firefighters came and didn’t find anything wrong, which indicated the problem was with the alarm, so we were allowed back in our rooms. I was following everything closely, so I heard what the firefighters said. Took me a while to fall back asleep with all of that had happened. Thought the issue was fixed. But, to my surprise, the fire alarm went off again two more times, around 7 and 8am. So that night was just a complete waste of rest and sleep, which is not what you expect when choosing a 5 star hotel that praises itself for being a Japanese oasis of calm in the heart of London. Not disappointing enough, when checking out the very same day the incident occurred, all we got from front desk was a 2 second apology. Of course I wasn’t expecting to get a free stay out of the event, but at least an exemption on the minibar consumption, which, in my case, was of £ 17 - or something else, just to show some courtesy with the guests that were deeply disturbed by the hotel’s faulty fire alarm. Unfortunately, none of that happened.

Unfortunately, this hotel is a travesty- the only positive is the location, which allows you to be outside the hotel. We arrived early, at 1:15 pm, for a 3 pm check-in and let the front desk know we needed two twins vs. a queen, said we were happy to wait until check-in time but they told us it would only be 5-10 min so we should hang around. Then they told me it was $100 pounds additional for twin beds. After 1.5 hours and some stern words with the front desk, our room was ready, we were told three different reasons why it was late (tv issue, housekeeping problem, separating the bed..) When we arrived to the room, it was incredibly small with the beds simply two touching twin mattresses on a queen frame (we paid an extra 100 pounds for this!) - the accessories in the room were Ikea, the bathroom was outdated, and you could not turn off the heated towel rack in the back of the shower when showering. We flushed the toilet in the evening, and it would not stop running/gurgling. I was already asleep, but my friend had to be put in a different room because the hotel could not fix it. She was placed in a room below the hotel. Additionally, weird items: turn down service with teapot and cups (cute) but no hot water anywhere to be found for the tea. Bag tags snapped off luggage with nothing said. I truly have never had an experience like this at what was supposed to be a high end hotel, more in line with a Residence Inn.

Stayed here recently with our four-year old. Great location, walkable to great eats and shopping options. Adrian with the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly to both us and our kid. It really left a lasting impression. We’re looking forward to our next stay here later this year.

Beautiful hotel for my 12 year old son and I for a 2 night stay in London. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, a few minutes walk to the Marble Arch tube station. I’d definitely stay again.

Not what we expected from a five star hotel. Certainly not at the price we paid. We got a room with a sloping floor, with a medium level of cleanliness and not meticulous. The breakfast was poor and performed at a low level. Disappointing experience.

Wonderful staff, very eager to help at all times. Bar staff is excellent, really knew his stuff and made some very well mixed cocktails. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and food was outstanding, a real highlight of our trip.

the location is great, rooms are pretty and clean, quiet, great bedding. The bathrooms are dated. Room service does not work at night, the food is average to mediocre and overpriced for the quality you get. Had an issue with wine list - I don't mind paying 80 gbp for a bottle of wine but I do mind drinking the wine that is actually 8 gbp per bottle. Overall is you need a comfortable place to sleep - the Prince Akatoki is perfect, if you're looking for a luxury experience - there are better alternatives in the area.

Great hotel, location and staff. My only feedback is that the rooms are small. We booked a more expensive executive room and the room was tiny and the only view from the window was a brick wall. Not great for the price we paid.

Very clean and comfortable rooms and large bathrooms. Staff was wonderful and the stay was very pleasant and comfortable. Bar in the Hotel had no energy, however and the lobby lounge could do with a redo. Great location.
