Positives: - great location in Burleigh near the beach and restaurants - really good size apartment with all the amenities Negatives - ocean view - was OK but limited by trees. Could see more of car park than sea. - kitchen wasn't very clean, especially the fridge - no way of getting hold of anyone outside reception hours. We arrived on Sunday lunchtime with no Wifi. Reception closed at 10:30am. Despite emailing via hotels.com and calling the out of hours number twice and an AI robot telling us they would let the site manager know we heard nothing and I had to go and ask at reception Monday morning. They did come up and fix it. - noisy plumbing - we think this came from next door's bathrooms - noisy trash collections at 6am every morning - construction noise from redevelopment of the nightclub on the ground floor during the day (we weren't made aware of this in advance) - terrace/balcony & window washing on two of our days stay meant we couldn't really use the areas and although we were told it would not affect the pool area, when using the pool we were covered in spray from the cleaning overhead and the next day the pool glass was being cleaned. We found out from a notice in the lift on our way to the apartment. We were only emailed about it the night before. It could be a lovely place and the apartment was great but lack of communication about anything disruptive and not being able to get hold of anyone outside of reception hours put a downer on it for us.

The power circuit in the kitchen continued to trip. I lost power to the fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave and all power points in the kitchen on the Friday night after check in after reception close. Reception was advised at 8.30am on the Saturday morning of the outage and promised to fix the problem immediately. They didn't. Reception closed at 12.30pm Saturday and the problem remained unfixed. I went down again on the Sunday morning to enquire what was going to happen. The woman at reception - Ange - appeared not to believe me that the problem was still occuring and begrudgingly arranged for he husband to come and check the problem. It was the fridge and the socket it was plugged into. Rather than call an electrician to fix the socket they just changed the fridge. It continued to trip the circuit. Over the weekend I lost in excess of $120 in food stuff. They promised to reimburse the amount with receipts. I provided receipts and they decided what they would and wouldn't reimburse me for. That was in the arrangement we had. It was for full reimbursement. So not only did they leave a faulty powerpoint unfixed with tenants in the apartment over 2 nights they went back on an agreement to reimburse me for costs incurred. She is rude to deal with as well. I would avoid this place at all costs. They did compensate me with an extra nights stay but that was only after I indicated I would be leaving poor reviews online. What a joke they are. Never stay there.
