Really enjoyed our stay. We booked here because we have kids and because of the advertised indoor pool. It was a disappointment that the pool was not heated. But other than that, the property was clean and the staff was very nice. We would return here next time we visit family in the area.

I enjoyed the convenience of the location in relation to the location I visited. The staff was not very talkative but friendly upon check-in. I liked the coffee at the lobby available 24 hours as well as the 24 hour fitness room.

The only things I wish were better was that the tv didn’t have but like 10 channels and you couldn’t stream anything, the pool had no warmer so it was freezing, and the ice machine wasn’t working on the only floor available. Other than that the staff was friendly and the room was clean. Not sure if it’s enough to make us want to come back however. Thank you for the positives.

We stayed in a 2 queen room. Bed was slightly firmer than I like but still comfortable. 4 pillows... I love lots of pillows! The bathroom was large with a double size vanity. The bathroom had plug outlets on both sides of the vanity in the wall. (Don't see that too often). Breakfast was decent. They had fried eggs, breakfast sausage, hashbrown potatoes along with pastries and cereal. We did not use the pool but they did have an indoor pool. No hot tub. Hotel was clean and welcoming. Plenty of on site parking. Overall I liked our stay and would stay here again.

It was one of the better experiences I've had at hotels. Not sure why exactly but floors turned the bottom of your feet black despite the many times I've seen hotel staff using mop. Soda/Snack machines did not work. Couldn't really enjoy the indoor pool due to other children left unsupervised and constantly jumping/diving in pool.

Liked - Newer facility, which was clean and comfortable. Check-in was quick and young lady was friendly. Disliked - Later asked a young man at the check-in desk about the pool; it seemed that I was a nuisance to him. Too much door slamming (especially around 6:00am) and traffic noise from street. I would request a room in the back in the future!

Every member of staff we encountered was very friendly. Everything was clean and comfortable. The paint showed a little wear in places and the a/c was a little noisy, but overall, a good hotel, especially for the price and location.

This hotel looks new, the carpets are fresh and the paint is bright. Nice rooms, large bathroom with stone countertop, with lots of counter space. The breakfast was good, too--fried eggs, sausage links and home fries, with coffee and juice. It was everything that I needed at a great price.

The room was excellent and the bed exceeded my comfort expectations. The bathroom was very modern and clean. The breakfast and WiFi were excellent. Thank you and can’t wait to stay at your property again.

Sam, who checked us in was warm, friendly, and very accommodating. There was something wrong with our first room, and he moved us immediately. You can tell everything is brand new in the rooms, like they totally renovated the hotel. A couple of things that weren't great - the girl that worked a couple of the mornings was not in a rush to get more coffee when I told her they were out. She took an hour to refill the coffee carafes (that's an important beverage in the morning to most of us!). The other was that the bed was definitely old and very uncomfortable. Lastly, the cable TV was really wonky & the channels would just go out in the middle of watching a show. However, given the incredible price and safety of the location, I would stay again.

TV did not work. Had to go down to front desk to get a new remote & then move the heavy tv stand to unplug, and plug Tv back in. Noise all night that staff did not control. Cold shower. Coffee and no coffee cups. For $75 a night I did not expect a stay at the Taj Mahal, but we did expect to get to sleep & take a warm shower. Manager/owner was very rude and not accommodating. Definitely had some language barriers when I tried to explain our situation.

The staff was friendly. We had no problems. I got more then i expected for the price. We stayed during Hurricane Beryl and that was our check out date, they gave us extra time to check to allow us a better time to start traveling home. We would happily stay there again during our next visit to Texas.

Hotel is very clean. Customer services very accommodating and willing. Only odd thing is front desk being on the phone for personal calls. You can hear it upstairs because of the open lobby however, I would definitely stay there again.

Coffee and no coffee cups. For $75 a night I did not expect a stay at the Taj Mahal, but we did expect to get to sleep & take a warm shower. Manager/owner was very rude and not accommodating. Definitely had some language barriers when I tried to explain our situation.

TV did not work. Had to go down to front desk to get a new remote & then move the heavy tv stand to unplug, and plug Tv back in. Noise all night that staff did not control. Cold shower. The girl who checked us in was very friendly. She let us know what all was around the hotel to eat and do. We asked if they had a rollout bed that we could use for my son and the gentleman who took over after the young lady left said he would make sure we had one when we got back that night. When we got back, no rollout bed and the person working said nothing had been mentioned to him about it. We asked for an extra blanket instead and they gave us one but it was incredibly small. I went back to see if they had a larger one and he told me “No, I already gave your wife a blanket. You can’t have anymore.” So we went to Walmart and bought a blanket to use. Breakfast was subpar; stale bagels and burnt tasting coffee. Honestly for the price I halfway expected some of this stuff to probably be an issue. Would not stay here again.

Initially I wanted to change my reservation to another location because it was not in Houston but ultimately I couldn’t and I accepted that fact. After arriving I saw how nice the area was and how I could navigate easily into the city with similar traffic times as if I were in the inter city. This is because the routes available to use weren’t as popularly traveled meaning less congestion. The hotel it self was nice. It looked and smelled clean. The finishes were also nice. Everything worked well in our room. Staff were courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend this location.

Sadly breakfast on a Saturday ended at 9am so we missed this benefit. Newer property, nice building, very specious room and bathroom. Not many dinning options close by. Allowed us to check in several hours early without any hassle

The hotel itself was spotless, clearly well‑managed, and in a perfect location for everything we needed. The AC worked perfectly and the staff was very nice. The only downside was breakfast. On both mornings we went down to eat, the food was already gone and everything had been put away, leaving us with no options at all. And it was before breakfast time was over.

The rook constantly smelt like an indian ran gas station. I use a lot of non toxic cleaners at home so it was rough to smell that constantly. I booked it because Sonesta was in the title but it was nothing like a Sonesta. More like a Wyndham. Elevator needed serious upgrading and Maintenance. Breakfast was basic and the coffee machine didn’t work. Computer desk chair was falling apart in room, conditioner wouldn’t pump out product on the wall and fitted sheet had a stain so they either never washed it after previous guest or refuse to throw it out. You can’t see out the windows due to the staining on them, was on the 3rd floor, must of had a bad view. Definitely not worth the price.
