Helpful staff, great breakfast. Wonderful location in the middle of the bustling downtown. Light was broken in the room and the shower water was cold. Otherwise, the room was huge and facilities were great.

Walls are very thin. Could hear everything the people next to us said and did. Floors were extremely slippery. Staff was great and breakfast was home cooked.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of choice when booking our accommodation for Monteverde as we booked the holiday last minute. We thought we had booked one of the newer looking rooms as that's what came up in out Hotels.com booking. We actually were in a very old room, which in our opinion, needs to be demolished as it's so run down. We didn't sleep at all due to the high winds, which rattled the room. A dog was barking all hours, so we were awake from 4am. There was no hot water, so we couldn't shower. Thankfully, we managed to book an airbnb at 6am and left after breakfast, which was the only good thing about our short stay. We asked for a refund for our first night, but this was declined.

The place was very old, but budget friendly. You can hear everything that you neighbors are up to. There is a shared kitchen next to the office/reception - you can use them between 8 am to 9 pm. Very close to city center and walking distance to restaurants and groceries. Parking is also very easy.
