Greit opphold, trivelig betjening. Hotellet ligger sammen med flere andre resorts litt ensomt til. Ser ut som vedlikehold på området aldri har har vert prioritert, ett bassengområde helt avstengt. Lamai området ikke helt hva vi forventet.

We went to this hotel which is quite a distance from the busy areas because it was advertised as a beach club. It is no longer a beach club and there is very little to do there. The one day we wanted to stay in the resort there wasn’t enough sun beds. The breakfast isn’t buffet and is the same every day. They do have fresh fruit every day part of the breakfast which includes mango which was a nice surprise. We booked our villa based on the fact that it clearly shows a shower inside which it did not have. The villa also had an upstairs but we had no access to that but? Probably where the nice indoor shower was? We would have never booked a place with an outside shower. The place was clean, but there was lots of ants and very small crawlies which liked to bite me and left sting marks. Obviously not sprayed very often to keep such things at bay. Overall the hotel is ok, it’s just we where expecting more from the description and the photos. If you want a very quiet holiday doing nothing then this could be for you, but if you want a few bars, entertainment and a social scene then I would avoid and do some more homework and stay further up the coast

Sadly this resort is a shadow of its former self post covid. I’ve been going there for around 12 years and it was always fabulous. The website is EXTREMELY misleading and still has photos of it in its former glory. Do yourselves a favour and do some me research if your thinking about staying here. The new management are still charging top dollar for absolutely minimal return. CONS No beach club area- that is now derelict and forlorn looking. The breakfast was very substandard: same food items day after day with little choice. The beach in front is full of litter, the new management do not clear it daily. The rooms- now are looking very tired and worn. No fruit on arrival as a welcome like they used to and they’ve taken away snacks and alcohol for purchase in the rooms also. Honestly if you’ve stayed here before when it was pre covid and you have good memories of it then please do yourself a favour it and save yourself the disappointment and trauma of the state of it now. There’s also tacky signs stuck on walls warning you not to bring food and drink by the pool or there is a 2000 baht fine. Hardly welcoming. Yet they do nott provide WI-FI by the food for you to order online and have it brought to you…. PROs- if you haven’t been before and are looking for spacious rooms then that’s a plus. They also still have nice private pool villas. If they had have been honest on the website about the changes then this review would not have been necessary- it’s very sad!

La struttura è anche bella ma assolutamente non sfruttata. Il bar della piscina risulta chiuso, il mare è impraticabile perché pieno di alghe, poca gente e zero iniziative. Devi rincorrere il personale per carta igienica e saponi perché non riforniti. La colazione è basica (6 giorni di pane e marmellata). In camera i blist di caffè sono vecchi e probabilmente scaduti perché ci sono animaletti all'interno. Sicuramente non lo consiglio.

La struttura è anche bella ma assolutamente non sfruttata. Il bar della piscina risulta chiuso, il mare è impraticabile perché pieno di alghe, poca gente e zero iniziative. Devi rincorrere il personale per carta igienica e saponi perché non riforniti. La colazione è basica (6 giorni di pane e marmellata). In camera i blist di caffè sono vecchi e probabilmente scaduti perché ci sono animaletti all'interno. Sicuramente non lo consiglio.

Dejligt hotel, lækker morgenmadsbuffet, sødt personale, smuk udsigt ved poolen og dejligt med mulighed for at deltage i yoga timer mod betaling. God beliggenhed i rolige omgivelser. Det eneste jeg vil anbefale til forbedringer er Decaf/koffeinfri kaffe

The Expedia pictures show beach front hotel with nice beach. Was very disappointing to arrive and the “beach” is not swimmable, there is no water. You have to drive to a different area in Lamai to have beach access. The rooms are nice and clean and spacious. It more like an apartment complex. I believe there are some villas. The dinning area and complementary breakfast was good, outdoors, with ocean view. I checked out early because I was expecting to be able to access the beach from my hotel during my vacation and that is not the case. If you want a comfortable room with breakfast this is a good place. If you want beach access this won’t work.

The good: amazing room. Very spacious and the bed was super comfy. Very clean although the AC leaked a little. Great shower and good size bathroom. Kitchenette was very clean and had good appliances etc. Location is OK as long as you don't mind a walk down the beach to the main Lamai Beach strip. On a scooter it would only be about 5 mins to the main shopping strip with all the bars, restaurants etc. Lovely pool and plenty of seating/days beds etc. Pool bar shut :-( The bad - it's obvious that this resort has fallen on hard times, because of Covid and is trying to claw it's way back. The grounds are neglected and some areas are completely fenced off. The dining area is very small and we had breakfast included in our rate, however, the 'hot' dishes were cold as it seemed no one knew how to use the bainmaries. We did try to ask/inform the staff about this but they had such limited English, they didn't understand. Instead they came to ensure us that the hot water in our bathroom was working!! The drinks and meals were very expensive and we chose to eat out. There are so many places along the beach offering competitive prices for cocktails and drinks, Beach Republic is really pricing themselves too high. The ugly - one whole part of the resort is fenced off and has been used as a dumping ground over time. It's a shame as it is unslightly. Daily special offers are a joke once they add tax and surcharges to the bill.

Pros: Modern style bathroom. Has a pool and tiny beach. Cons: It’s all the little things that add up to such a 2 star rating. First of all there was no luggage rack so I didn’t have to put my suitcase on the floor. As I stated at the hotel I could see where they broke holes into the wall, due to a poor paint job. Given that it can rain hard on Koh Samui, I was surprised by the lack of cover leading to the front desk and other places. I had to badger the hotel staff to make sure my laundry was brought to me on time. If I see baby roaches wondering around, it makes you wonder what other critters may be in your bed. I can keep going on and on.

Stedet ligger langt fra byen, så du skal leje en scooter, eller rage taxi for at komme der til. De reklamerer med at det er et fredfyldt sted, men det passer ikke, da lejlighederne ligger lige op af hovedvejen, med masser af støj til følge. Resteauranten er 40% dyrere en andre, og det føles som om, at de benytter sig af at der er langt til andre steder. De manupulerer også med de reklamerede priser i spisekortet, idet de lægger 10 samt 7 % på efterfølgende. Hvis du køber morgenmad er buffeten lille, og du får kun er lille kop kaffe. Vil du have en ekstra koster det. De uddeler bøder hvis du tager en fladke vand og et æble med ned til liggestolene ved stranden, og et stort stykke af væggen ned til den er kollapset. Liggestole og sengene er i øvrigt meget beskidte, og det der en gang var rødt stof, er for længst blevet falmet, og er nu meget beskidt og direkte ulækkert at røre ved. Det virker som et hotel hvor økonomien har det dårligt, og at de derfor ikke vedligeholder det ordentligt, og med alle midler forsøger at presse ekstra penge ud af gæsterne. Det ses også på værelserne hbor larmende ventilatorer burde udskiftes, sammen med beskidte lampeskærme og manglende maling og paneler. Fitness centeret er ubrugeligt, da det er af en så dårlig kvalitet at det ikke kan bruges til noget, og man får følelsen af, at de bare har sat det op for at få en ekstra stjerne på hjemnesiden. Jeg følte at opholdet var spild af tid, og prisen alt for høj i forhold til hvad de kan tilbyde.

Store fine rom,bra aircondition. Frokost kunne vært både inne og ute, valgfritt. Burde vært aircondition der maten sto, og bedre måter å fjerne insekter på maten. Toaletter ved strand burde hatt aircondition også, en del mygg der inne. Skitne madrasser ved strand/basseng, trengs oppussing her og der i det området. Trivelige ansatte, og idyllisk område.. Stille og rolig.

Very relaxed & chilled stay, yes you do get a lot of road noise on the balcony however when doors are closed it is very peaceful. It’s a bit of a distance to the centre of Lamai but with scooter ok or jump on songthaew. Only gripe would be the beach isn’t cleaned, the neighbouring hotels cleaned theirs regularly of seaweed & litter.

Stranden var helt død og umulig at bruge til at bade, hvilket var et kæmpe minus og meget skuffende. Rengøringen var af lav standard og ikke ofte nok ift. omgivelserne, som bød på store mængder af flagermus afføring. Der lå afføring i skabene i udendørs køkken, hvorfor vi ikke brugte noget service Det bar præg af at være af ældre dato, ødelagte håndtag osv. Personalet var venlige, men deres engelske var meget sparsommeligt. Dog virkede det fint ift. deres whats app service, som de var hurtige og hjælpsomme på. The good: amazing room. Very spacious and the bed was super comfy. Very clean although the AC leaked a little. Great shower and good size bathroom. Kitchenette was very clean and had good appliances etc. Location is OK as long as you don't mind a walk down the beach to the main Lamai Beach strip. On a scooter it would only be about 5 mins to the main shopping strip with all the bars, restaurants etc. Lovely pool and plenty of seating/days beds etc. Pool bar shut :-( The bad - it's obvious that this resort has fallen on hard times, because of Covid and is trying to claw it's way back. The grounds are neglected and some areas are completely fenced off. The dining area is very small and we had breakfast included in our rate, however, the 'hot' dishes were cold as it seemed no one knew how to use the bainmaries. We did try to ask/inform the staff about this but they had such limited English, they didn't understand. Instead they came to ensure us that the hot water in our bathroom was working!! The drinks and meals were very expensive and we chose to eat out. There are so many places along the beach offering competitive prices for cocktails and drinks, Beach Republic is really pricing themselves too high. The ugly - one whole part of the resort is fenced off and has been used as a dumping ground over time. It's a shame as it is unslightly. Daily special offers are a joke once they add tax and surcharges to the bill.

Frukosten var enkel och identisk i en månad, med endast en kopp kaffe per person. Många områden på hotellet var stängda (kändes som en spökstad), delar av asfalten på stranden hade sjunkit, och strandmöblerna var slitna. Rummen var gamla, köket luktade illa och ibland kändes avloppslukt i badrummet. Hotellet har potential men behöver bättre underhåll.

Un scooter est nécessaire pour aller en centre ville ou de bonnes jambes 20/25 mn de marche. La plage n’est pas adaptée à des bains de mer (marée/vase/roche) mieux vaut choisir un autre lieu pour se baigner ou la piscine.

This is an absolute gem of a place. It is in a great location. The beach is beautiful, with the most amazing sunsets. The breakfast is pretty standard to what you get across Thailand. However the day/evening meals are absolutely delicious. The customer service was responsive. The cleaning of the room every 2 days was fine. We had some washing done, and it was very clean and to a high standard. We had a villa with a pool. It was very peaceful, we saw some amazing birds. The villa cost circa £200 per night. The downside was it did need some TLC. I think blaming Covid now is stretching it a bit. The furniture was basic, the hairdryer just about let out air. The overall maintenance was a bit slack. We were not really sure who was in charge of the site, but this gave some privacy we welcomed. We had an issue with the pool but it was quickly sorted. If you order room service the plates are not collected, we had to ask. Even when water was delivered plates were left behind. Excellent WiFi and access to Netflix. However it might be a bit rustic but I would definitely stay here again. There are newer villas but we were not given one of those. The trip to see the pink dolphins is a must.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice. Breakfast was OK . Outside areas and beach were both very nice. Cleaning was a bit unpredictable as was refill of water in the fridge. Biggest issue was the complete lack of noise isolation to the outside in the room. Whenever the main road was used as a racetrack by sports bikes at 11-12 in the evening, it felt like my bed was roadside.

Outstanding rooms- like your own apartment with the ability to cook your own meals. Their breakfast buffet is great. Their coffee is excellent, including awesome espresso from quality beans and expertly made. Laundry by the kilo is inexpensive. Renting motorbikes is inexpensive. Their restaurant and bar area is beautiful and on the beach. The staff are helpful and friendly. When I return to Koh Samui, I will stay here above anywhere else. All staff put the customer first in this outstanding property. A true GEM!

Pros: Modern style bathroom. Has a pool and tiny beach. Cons: It’s all the little things that add up to such a 2 star rating. First of all there was no luggage rack so I didn’t have to put my suitcase on the floor. As I stated at the hotel I could see where they broke holes into the wall, due to a poor paint job. Given that it can rain hard on Koh Samui, I was surprised by the lack of cover leading to the front desk and other places. I had to badger the hotel staff to make sure my laundry was brought to me on time. If I see baby roaches wondering around, it makes you wonder what other critters may be in your bed. I can keep going on and on.

Store fine rom,bra aircondition. Frokost kunne vært både inne og ute, valgfritt. Burde vært aircondition der maten sto, og bedre måter å fjerne insekter på maten. Toaletter ved strand burde hatt aircondition også, en del mygg der inne. Skitne madrasser ved strand/basseng, trengs oppussing her og der i det området. Trivelige ansatte, og idyllisk område.. Stille og rolig.

This is an absolute gem of a place. It is in a great location. The beach is beautiful, with the most amazing sunsets. The breakfast is pretty standard to what you get across Thailand. However the day/evening meals are absolutely delicious. The customer service was responsive. The cleaning of the room every 2 days was fine. We had some washing done, and it was very clean and to a high standard. We had a villa with a pool. It was very peaceful, we saw some amazing birds. The villa cost circa £200 per night. The downside was it did need some TLC. I think blaming Covid now is stretching it a bit. The furniture was basic, the hairdryer just about let out air. The overall maintenance was a bit slack. We were not really sure who was in charge of the site, but this gave some privacy we welcomed. We had an issue with the pool but it was quickly sorted. If you order room service the plates are not collected, we had to ask. Even when water was delivered plates were left behind. Excellent WiFi and access to Netflix. However it might be a bit rustic but I would definitely stay here again. There are newer villas but we were not given one of those. The trip to see the pink dolphins is a must.

Very very impressed with the Beach Republic, it's at the quieter end of Lemai Beach but within easy reach. The room was superb and modern and spacious, plus a great breakfast every morning. The staff were so friendly and helpful and helped arrange motorbike hire and taxis etc.

Outstanding rooms- like your own apartment with the ability to cook your own meals. Their breakfast buffet is great. Their coffee is excellent, including awesome espresso from quality beans and expertly made. Laundry by the kilo is inexpensive. Renting motorbikes is inexpensive. Their restaurant and bar area is beautiful and on the beach. The staff are helpful and friendly. When I return to Koh Samui, I will stay here above anywhere else. All staff put the customer first in this outstanding property. A true GEM!

Greit opphold, trivelig betjening. Hotellet ligger sammen med flere andre resorts litt ensomt til. Ser ut som vedlikehold på området aldri har har vert prioritert, ett bassengområde helt avstengt. Lamai området ikke helt hva vi forventet.

Stedet ligger langt fra byen, så du skal leje en scooter, eller rage taxi for at komme der til. De reklamerer med at det er et fredfyldt sted, men det passer ikke, da lejlighederne ligger lige op af hovedvejen, med masser af støj til følge. Very relaxed & chilled stay, yes you do get a lot of road noise on the balcony however when doors are closed it is very peaceful. It’s a bit of a distance to the centre of Lamai but with scooter ok or jump on songthaew. Only gripe would be the beach isn’t cleaned, the neighbouring hotels cleaned theirs regularly of seaweed & litter.

In quiet location perfect for relaxing holiday but we found it to quiet. Limited places to eat within walking distance. Pool area lovely and staff friendly. Hotel room big and spacious had everything you would need and well kept. Good breakfast in morning.

Magnifique endroit. J’ai beaucoup aimé la plage. Très calme. Le restaurant est très bien et le petit déjeuner aussi. La chambre était très grande avec un balcon. Je vous recommande cet hôtel pour le tranquillité.

The good: amazing room. Very spacious and the bed was super comfy. Very clean although the AC leaked a little. Great shower and good size bathroom. Kitchenette was very clean and had good appliances etc. Location is OK as long as you don't mind a walk down the beach to the main Lamai Beach strip. On a scooter it would only be about 5 mins to the main shopping strip with all the bars, restaurants etc. Lovely pool and plenty of seating/days beds etc. Pool bar shut :-( The bad - it's obvious that this resort has fallen on hard times, because of Covid and is trying to claw it's way back. The grounds are neglected and some areas are completely fenced off. The dining area is very small and we had breakfast included in our rate, however, the 'hot' dishes were cold as it seemed no one knew how to use the bainmaries. We did try to ask/inform the staff about this but they had such limited English, they didn't understand. Instead they came to ensure us that the hot water in our bathroom was working!! The drinks and meals were very expensive and we chose to eat out. There are so many places along the beach offering competitive prices for cocktails and drinks, Beach Republic is really pricing themselves too high. The ugly - one whole part of the resort is fenced off and has been used as a dumping ground over time. It's a shame as it is unslightly. Daily special offers are a joke once they add tax and surcharges to the bill.

Hotellet har ett fantastiskt läge vid stranden, och rummen är stora med kök – perfekt för familjer. Personalen var trevlig och städningen bra. Tyvärr var både spjälsängen och barnstolen trasiga vid ankomst, och vi fick vänta i tre dagar dagar på en ny säng, så vår dotter sov i vagnen. Frukosten var enkel och identisk i en månad, med endast en kopp kaffe per person. Många områden på hotellet var stängda (kändes som en spökstad), delar av asfalten på stranden hade sjunkit, och strandmöblerna var slitna. Rummen var gamla, köket luktade illa och ibland kändes avloppslukt i badrummet. Hotellet har potential men behöver bättre underhåll.

We went to this hotel which is quite a distance from the busy areas because it was advertised as a beach club. It is no longer a beach club and there is very little to do there. The one day we wanted to stay in the resort there wasn’t enough sun beds. The breakfast isn’t buffet and is the same every day. They do have fresh fruit every day part of the breakfast which includes mango which was a nice surprise. We booked our villa based on the fact that it clearly shows a shower inside which it did not have. The villa also had an upstairs but we had no access to that but? Probably where the nice indoor shower was? We would have never booked a place with an outside shower. The place was clean, but there was lots of ants and very small crawlies which liked to bite me and left sting marks. Obviously not sprayed very often to keep such things at bay. Overall the hotel is ok, it’s just we where expecting more from the description and the photos. If you want a very quiet holiday doing nothing then this could be for you, but if you want a few bars, entertainment and a social scene then I would avoid and do some more homework and stay further up the coast

Liggestole og sengene er i øvrigt meget beskidte, og det der en gang var rødt stof, er for længst blevet falmet, og er nu meget beskidt og direkte ulækkert at røre ved. Det virker som et hotel hvor økonomien har det dårligt, og at de derfor ikke vedligeholder det ordentligt, og med alle midler forsøger at presse ekstra penge ud af gæsterne. Det ses også på værelserne hbor larmende ventilatorer burde udskiftes, sammen med beskidte lampeskærme og manglende maling og paneler. Fitness centeret er ubrugeligt, da det er af en så dårlig kvalitet at det ikke kan bruges til noget, og man får følelsen af, at de bare har sat det op for at få en ekstra stjerne på hjemnesiden. Jeg følte at opholdet var spild af tid, og prisen alt for høj i forhold til hvad de kan tilbyde.

This is an absolute gem of a place. It is in a great location. The beach is beautiful, with the most amazing sunsets. The breakfast is pretty standard to what you get across Thailand. However the day/evening meals are absolutely delicious. The customer service was responsive. The cleaning of the room every 2 days was fine. We had some washing done, and it was very clean and to a high standard. We had a villa with a pool. It was very peaceful, we saw some amazing birds. The villa cost circa £200 per night. The downside was it did need some TLC. I think blaming Covid now is stretching it a bit. The furniture was basic, the hairdryer just about let out air. The overall maintenance was a bit slack. We were not really sure who was in charge of the site, but this gave some privacy we welcomed. We had an issue with the pool but it was quickly sorted. If you order room service the plates are not collected, we had to ask. Even when water was delivered plates were left behind. Excellent WiFi and access to Netflix. However it might be a bit rustic but I would definitely stay here again. There are newer villas but we were not given one of those. The trip to see the pink dolphins is a must.

The Expedia pictures show beach front hotel with nice beach. Was very disappointing to arrive and the “beach” is not swimmable, there is no water. You have to drive to a different area in Lamai to have beach access. The rooms are nice and clean and spacious. It more like an apartment complex. I believe there are some villas. The dinning area and complementary breakfast was good, outdoors, with ocean view. I checked out early because I was expecting to be able to access the beach from my hotel during my vacation and that is not the case. If you want a comfortable room with breakfast this is a good place. If you want beach access this won’t work.

Outstanding rooms- like your own apartment with the ability to cook your own meals. Their breakfast buffet is great. Their coffee is excellent, including awesome espresso from quality beans and expertly made. Laundry by the kilo is inexpensive. Renting motorbikes is inexpensive. Their restaurant and bar area is beautiful and on the beach. The staff are helpful and friendly. When I return to Koh Samui, I will stay here above anywhere else. All staff put the customer first in this outstanding property. A true GEM!

The good: amazing room. Very spacious and the bed was super comfy. Very clean although the AC leaked a little. Great shower and good size bathroom. Kitchenette was very clean and had good appliances etc. Location is OK as long as you don't mind a walk down the beach to the main Lamai Beach strip. On a scooter it would only be about 5 mins to the main shopping strip with all the bars, restaurants etc. Lovely pool and plenty of seating/days beds etc. Pool bar shut :-( The bad - it's obvious that this resort has fallen on hard times, because of Covid and is trying to claw it's way back. The grounds are neglected and some areas are completely fenced off. The dining area is very small and we had breakfast included in our rate, however, the 'hot' dishes were cold as it seemed no one knew how to use the bainmaries. We did try to ask/inform the staff about this but they had such limited English, they didn't understand. Instead they came to ensure us that the hot water in our bathroom was working!! The drinks and meals were very expensive and we chose to eat out. There are so many places along the beach offering competitive prices for cocktails and drinks, Beach Republic is really pricing themselves too high. The ugly - one whole part of the resort is fenced off and has been used as a dumping ground over time. It's a shame as it is unslightly. Daily special offers are a joke once they add tax and surcharges to the bill.

We stayed in a Modern Pool Villa. During our stay we returned to the villa one evening to find a mouse in the bedroom. We then discovered a hole behind the sofa and droppings inside the kitchen cupboards, which was a clear hygiene concern. To their credit, the staff on site responded quickly that evening and eventually relocated us to another room. However, this was obviously disruptive packing essentials and moving late at night, especially with a small baby. We completed a full move to another villa the following day. While the staff we dealt with were polite and tried their best to help in the moment, we were disappointed with how the matter was handled afterwards. Despite the seriousness of the issue and the disruption caused, no meaningful compensation (e.g a refund for the disrupted night) was offered by the property management. We had very small token gestures. We would’ve preferred to resolve this direct with them but found communication very difficult. Earlier in the stay there had also been ongoing construction noise from a neighbouring property. Given the price point of the villas, this experience fell well below what we expected.
