No handle on front door so difficult to close. Very expensive drinks. Lounge area upstairs with pool table was closed off. Lacks atmosphere especially when having to have drinks only in restaurant area. Lamps by bed awkward to get to switch on as switch behind bed.

I was working in Norfolk for a couple of days and found this hotel by chance. Lovely rooms, very quiet and plenty of areas outside to enjoy the grounds. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, tidy, really nice. I keep seeing reviews about hard beds, but honestly, I prefer a firmer matress and these were what I'd consider 'soft', so I think its all preference. The layout of the place is a bit confusing, and it feels weird walking down the sides of other cabins, and I can only imagine its even worse in the dark - maybe they're planning on repathing things though! The noise from the gravel they have at night is really loud, though obviously that only matters when cars and people are moving around. The Wifi wasn't fantastic, but its in an area that has mobile phone coverage, so its not the end of the world. A few spooky moments where my TV turned on by itself at about 7am each morning which was very confusing, but thankfully they turned on muted so it wasn't the worst - just something for them to maybe put some salt down over, haha! I am a bit confused that I seem to have been charged £10 more than the Expedia price - when I mentioned it on checking in, staff said it could be to do with the fact that my card had to be tried twice (payment was taken a day earlier than I thought it would be, so I hadn't moved the funds over!) but since its only £10 I think I'll manage it. Just something to keep in mind, move money over to the right card 48 hours before you check in. This isn't mentioned anywhere on Expedia, but its probably right.

Lovely location in the countryside off the main road. Lovely and quiet, able to see the stars clearly on a clear night. Stayed in the superior double. Had an issue with the sink, but maintenance came straight away and found a make up sponge in the sink… not mine. Stayed in 301, what would make just that little bit better is a coat hook in the entrance bit and a shelf between the sink and mirror in the bathroom to put stuff on. Other than that massive shout out to the housekeeper we met who was very attentive and does a great job keeping the rooms clean, fresh and looking amazing!

A lovely stay. Roast dinner and breakfast the following morning were delicious. The suite we stayed in was large, nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. Easy to find and lots of parking Staff member Nathan and the lady who served us breakfast were both lovely. The cons - the hot water tank run out after my husband had a shower. We had to wait 45 minutes for it to heat up again. For the age/type of building this isn’t a problem but it would be good to give guests the heads up online or at least when they check in. The floorboards upstairs are very creaky so bring earplugs if noise like that may bother you. Not sure where the smoking area is so it might have wafted round due to the strong wind but the smell of cigarette smoke came in to our room a couple of times which wasn’t pleasant. Small detail but a full length mirror would be nice. We had another issue with some of the power going off (storm isha, not the hotels fault) and Nathan on reception was great and sorted it very quickly. Hotels.com have check in listed as 2.30pm, check out 10.30am. Check in is actually 3pm, check out 10am and breakfast is £9.95 if booked via hotels/expedia etc.

My first stay at the Farmhouse but my sister has stayed before and recommended. Went with my dog and they were very accommodating and friendly to us both. Great location for some long walks in a nice peaceful area. Room was a good size and the bed was super comfy. Can't wait to go back :)

Lovely main reception and bar. Room was modern and minimalist which is just my taste. The Bathroom however could do with an update- window in bathroom cracked all the way along. Slightly disconcerting. Very quiet though and wonderful location 👍

From start to finish our experience at the Farmhouse at Fincham is best forgotten! Checked in by a curt, harassed older lady! Room was clean but basic. Broken handle on bath, broken plug! Lunch was over cooked! Breakfast a complete disaster! Only saving grace was a younger woman who I felt sorry for as she struggled to cope!

Basic, bright and modern. We stayed for 1 night and it was suffice, but couldn’t breathe without the cheap wooden bed frame creaking, so it kept us awake. The rooms are in a beautiful farmland location, and surrounding roads were quiet and easy access to visiting areas of Norfolk.

I have stayed here a few times. I really like the cabins and the beautiful grounds. I love seeing the deers! The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is amazing. Highly recommend

From start to finish our experience at the Farmhouse at Fincham is best forgotten! Checked in by a curt, harassed older lady! Room was clean but basic. Broken handle on bath, broken plug! Lunch was over cooked! Breakfast a complete disaster! Only saving grace was a younger woman who I felt sorry for as she struggled to cope!

A lovely stay. Roast dinner and breakfast the following morning were delicious. The suite we stayed in was large, nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. Easy to find and lots of parking Staff member Nathan and the lady who served us breakfast were both lovely. The cons - the hot water tank run out after my husband had a shower. We had to wait 45 minutes for it to heat up again. For the age/type of building this isn’t a problem but it would be good to give guests the heads up online or at least when they check in. The floorboards upstairs are very creaky so bring earplugs if noise like that may bother you. Not sure where the smoking area is so it might have wafted round due to the strong wind but the smell of cigarette smoke came in to our room a couple of times which wasn’t pleasant. Small detail but a full length mirror would be nice. We had another issue with some of the power going off (storm isha, not the hotels fault) and Nathan on reception was great and sorted it very quickly. My first stay at the Farmhouse but my sister has stayed before and recommended. Went with my dog and they were very accommodating and friendly to us both. Great location for some long walks in a nice peaceful area. Room was a good size and the bed was super comfy. Can't wait to go back :)

Basic, bright and modern. We stayed for 1 night and it was suffice, but couldn’t breathe without the cheap wooden bed frame creaking, so it kept us awake. The rooms are in a beautiful farmland location, and surrounding roads were quiet and easy access to visiting areas of Norfolk.

Lovely location in the countryside off the main road. Lovely and quiet, able to see the stars clearly on a clear night. Stayed in the superior double. Had an issue with the sink, but maintenance came straight away and found a make up sponge in the sink… not mine. Stayed in 301, what would make just that little bit better is a coat hook in the entrance bit and a shelf between the sink and mirror in the bathroom to put stuff on. Other than that massive shout out to the housekeeper we met who was very attentive and does a great job keeping the rooms clean, fresh and looking amazing!

Lovely main reception and bar. Room was modern and minimalist which is just my taste. The Bathroom however could do with an update- window in bathroom cracked all the way along. Slightly disconcerting. Very quiet though and wonderful location 👍

The staff are very friendly here with a genuine aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are set out motel style with each room having direct access to outside the property. Overall, the rooms are basic but more importantly, clean. However, for the rate I booked was £160. This amount of money, I found it poor value. There is no desk to work from, the bedside tables are in the region of £20 each and there is no surface area on the bathroom for your toiletries. The restaurant offers a very limited menu to deal with customer volumes. The night I stayed was busy and waited over an hour for a sharing board style meal. This wasn’t really an issue, but would have appreciated the heads up regarding the delay. Breakfast unfortunately, was poor. The cooked element was limited to bacon, sausage and eggs, the continental offering was just as limited. The juices were very acidic and the coffee is not brewed to order, simply left on a hotplate. Working away a lot, you get to know what works best for you and how good some hotels operate with a sense of pride from their rooms and F&B. Unfortunately, as much as I wanted this hotel to be great, it wasn’t and will not be returning.

Beautiful setting, ‘cabin’ was old looking and musty smelling, shower was lukewarm with no staff about to report it too, one member of staff doing everything! Reception, bar, waitressing - come on, employ some more staff!!

Was a nice enough stay, cute little rooms off in a separate building, information said was soundproof but the windows/door was to outside so a little thin and let light in - and as it was a gravel area outside people walking/cars parking was quite noisy. The bed was maybe a little short it seemed, feet were basically on the footboard the whole night, but otherwise a very comfy bed. No windows in the bathroom but was nice and spacious. The reception desk wasn't obvious but otherwise it was a nice stay. A nice stay over all, and the food in the restaurant was good, would definitely go back again one day.
