Great stay. Loved the breakfast basket in the morning. They have a local gym about a 3 minute walk up the street to use for free. Much better than a small make shift hotel gym. They allow free transportation within 2 miles with their Jeep Wrangler. Great location. The Watch rooftop bar is excellent. The rooms are huge. The staff were wonderful. Honestly, it was a great stay. Really nice boutique hotel. High recommend.

What a wonderful hotel. Close to all downtown has to offer. Staff was great especially Quinn at the front desk. Free shuttle within 2 miles. Free beer and wine and cheese happy hour each day, and lovely little picnic basket breakfast left at your door each morning. Great experience!

This was a lovely stay with nice added touches. Breakfast baskets to the room daily and wine hour with snacks. Hospitality was exceptional. The jeep service was perfect to get around town. Gym isn’t on site, about 30 minute walk or quick jeep service but was a huge gym with more than enough to get a great workout in. Had a mobile service massage twice in 4 days and give them rave reviews. The hotel is walking distance to the main shopping. The thing I loved most was the smell of the place. But many hotels have a good fragrance as in super entice to smells I noticed this. Smelled like crisp clean cedar wood? What ever it is, it’s also a nice touch. They were very accommodating of my elderly mother walking with a cane. Pool is more of a small soaking area but nice. Overall, lovely and highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely perfect from start to finish, the only place I will stay when returning to Charleston. Front desk staff were kind and outgoing, with little details such as umbrellas for a rainy walk on King St. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, a large fridge with items stocked, breakfast treats delivered in the morning. Lovely rooftop pool and bar, quick and courteous valet. An absolute hidden gem with the perfect location.

First time staying in Charleston. Loved the hotel. My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom and it was bigger than my one bedroom apartment I had rented back home when I was younger. Rooftop restaurant was good but just wished they offered more items on the menu. The Rise coffee shop was one of my daily stops. I will be back!! Thank you for the hospitality.

Massive ROOM ! We loved our stay . Staff was super attentive. We had happy hour everyday at 6:00 I believe . Complimentary wine and cheese in the library area . Also complimentary shuttle service within a 1-2 mile radius of the hotel . Super friendly staff . Wish the pool was a little bigger with a better chair setup .

Excellent location and service with quietly elegance entrance to come and go easily. Really a hidden gem and I travel to Charleston frequently and have tried many different hotels in the area. This is my favorite when I fly and don’t have my car! Parking is the only drag here as the closest lot is down the block. I highly recommend this for proximity to King St shopping, carriage rides, the covered market, house tours—all the sights you want.

This was a lovely property with a nice, large room with kitchenette and big bathroom. There were no VIP perks or even knowledge of it so it really should not be a VIP property. Breakfast basket was nice and varied each morning. Wonderful coffee shop attached. Nice rooftop pool for a quick cool off. Wonderful location with proximity to King Street and College of Charleston.

So much wrong with this place. Safety issues...door to terrace accessible from an adjoining staircase left unlocked when we arrived and the deadbolt did not close. Manager said because it was weekend he couldn't get anyone in. No security for building. Anyone can walk into hallways from outside off the street. Evidence of attempted break-ins to our room the hall door. Shower covered in mildew so we complained and they cleaned it a bit but still covered in mildew. Terrace was misrepresented versus what was on website. Staff doesn't pick up the phone. When I told them I tried calling, she didn't believe me on two separate occasions and checked the call log. When we checked out and re-iterated all the things wrong, they only offered to take off the valet (which really only saved us $18 on a $1,500 2-day stay since you have to pay for parking anyway so difference is only $9 a day). TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I do not recommend at all due to safety, cleanliness and service issues. Just awful.

The positives are that it is in a good location and our 2 br suite was large with a full kitchen (minus skillets and pans). However we were very disappointed with the condition of our suite/apt. The drain in the shower was clogged. The chandelier in the dining area just flickered and acted as if it had a short. We had 2 giant cockroaches and newspaper by the couch that was over a week old. Two days housekeeping came and didn’t take wet dirty towels on the bathroom floor. They sent them back upon complaint and they tidied the bathroom but didn’t dust a thing or vacuum so we were allergic. The walls are paper thin so if your neighbors aren’t quiet at night don’t expect to sleep. We had a non stop crying baby at all hours. We also heard a phone off of the hook. Breakfast isn’t really breakfast. Lots of carbs and sugar and little to no protein. The portions were very small. Service , including the front desk manager, were not customer service oriented and frankly the most apathetic of anywhere else I have ever stayed (except night front desk person was great) Also if steps are an issue definitely don’t stay here they are everywhere without rails and very poor lighting.

Took 15 minutes to get car from valet. Trash can full from previous guests. Hair in bathroom drawer from previous guests. Poor house-keeping. Did not change sheets. Breakfast was not good.

Very cool hotel. Ideal location. But the building is old and mold was everywhere. You could smell it when you walked into our unit. Even the food they served (breakfast fruit) had mold on it.

The location of this property is great. Very walkable and convenient. The studio room was huge which was also lovely. The room does need some updating however. The walls are a bit chipped, the table surfaces scratched up, the grout in the shower needs a refresh. My room also wasn't cleaned very well, I found a discarded strawberry on the floor as well as some kind of food wrapper. That being said, the staff is nice and we enjoyed our stay.

It was a really nice experience. The studio room was absolutely beautiful but it needed a little extra care. The air vent cover was rusty and extremely dirty and the shower, although the decorative concept was nice, had some mildew stains. Other than those two issues, the stay was a very nice experience. The customer service was top notch and the pool was absolutely beautiful.

This place ... or rather, the room this overpriced place put us in is a dump. The room should never have been rented. It was dirty. The paint was chipped throughout the kitchen. The bathroom floor was stained and dirty. The curtain would not close properly. The sheers were torn. During our stay there were carpenters working on our floor. The black bin in the photo was never put away, but was passed every day on the way to our depressing room. We were not given prior notice of the work that was done. Nor were we given any consideration for having a room on a floor being renovated. And when our concerns were brought to the manager, I was led to believe my experience was "my fault" and he was sorry he could not accommodate us. Shameful. And snobbish. I could go on, but instead I'll add the photos I took that will show you what to expect.

Perfect location to see historic Charleston. Walking distance to everything. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Hotel also offers rides up to 2 1/2 miles which is an added bonus. All of the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Room was very comfortable and clean. Will be back if we visit again.

Absolutely beautiful property, offering the kitchenette and full fridge with complimentary beverages ( and pimento cheese!) was awesome. Best hotel robes I’ve used, pretty centrally located to most major attractions in a 10 minute walk. Front desk staff was a joy to talk to and always helpful with any requests.

Long weekend getaway with my husband. Cool hotel but we were on floor below hotel rooftop, so noisy from furniture being moved around most nights. Small, refreshing pool but limited seating and no shade. Drinks and snacks in room were a nice touch. Nice wine and cheese happy hour. Pillows on bed were not comfortable. Room was spacious . Location good, close to restaurants and shopping.

Lovely stay at The Restoration! We loved our Signature Suite. It had so much room and loved the fridge they stocked with water and sodas daily. The breakfast basket that was delivered each morning was a treat. Great location just off of King. Lots of shopping and restaurants near by. Great food and drinks at The Watch on the top floor. Awesome coffee at The Rise next door. All of the staff was excellent. Highly recommended!

We had a terrace with a large umbrella (a must under Charleston sun) the umbrella was broken. Called to ask. They said they would handle. Hours later nothing. This was a lovely property with a nice, large room with kitchenette and big bathroom. There were no VIP perks or even knowledge of it so it really should not be a VIP property. Breakfast basket was nice and varied each morning. Wonderful coffee shop attached. Nice rooftop pool for a quick cool off. Wonderful location with proximity to King Street and College of Charleston.

My overall complaint for this property was the valet dented my car and the hotel has pushed off all attempts to remedy the situation despite acknowledging the issue. Terrible management and service. Beware if you have any issues. Good location close to restaurants, attractions, and shopping.

The front desk staff seemed inexperienced and unprepared to handle basic customer service needs. They were unable to provide solutions for any of the issues we faced during our stay, and when asked questions about Charleston—a relatively small city—they had no helpful information. It's essential that hotel staff, especially those at the front desk who represent the establishment, are knowledgeable, accommodating, and proactive in ensuring guests have a pleasant stay. Our room was not adequately cleaned, with noticeable stains on the walls and carpet, and hair from previous guests in the bathroom. The TV didn't work throughout our stay, despite staff checking it on two consecutive days without resolving the issue. Once again, the front desk was not helpful when approached about this problem. The pool, located on the roof, is more of a small soaking tub rather than a swimming pool, which may be disappointing if you were expecting to swim. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortable. Overall, the most disappointing aspect was the lack of professionalism and poor customer service.

We loved it there. The front desk clerk was excellent and valeting was simple. The coffee shop was great. What made it tough was our kiddo lost a beloved stuffed animal, most likely scooped up in the laundry. It’s difficult to get through via phone and no one answered my attempts may online contact. Someone said they’d call and update me but never did. Our baby is 5 and she’s had this since she was born. It’s not an emergency for anyone but us, however I wish we had been able to leave a message (mailbox was full), get through ourselves, or received that call back as promised.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is automatically delivered in a picnic basket to your room each morning, which consisted of mostly baked goods. Quality was so-so. They really need to figure out how to serve a sit down breakfast for guests, There was a coffee machine in the room, but we couldn’t figure out how to use it, and all they had in the room were artificial creamers which we don’t drink. The front desk staff was very friendly, but every time we called them, for example to ask how to use the coffee machine, no one picked up the phone and the voice mail box was full.

We came for a girls weekend and loved every minute of our getaway and stay at The Restoration in Charleston. The staff was welcoming when we arrived and throughout our stay they were polite, helpful and personable. Our room was neat, stylish and accommodated all of our needs. The small touches the hotel provided like the Jeep valet service, homemade cookies and milk at night, and daily breakfasts delivered in a picnic basket made the stay extra special. We visited The Rise Coffee Shop (twice!) and The Watch Rooftop. Both places offered attentive and kind service as well as delicious drinks. Matthew was especially helpful in making us feel welcome and taken care of. The proximity of the hotel to King Street, the City Market and all of the delicious restaurants we visited made exploring the city so easy. We can’t wait to come back in warmer weather!

Excellent location and service with quietly elegance entrance to come and go easily. Really a hidden gem and I travel to Charleston frequently and have tried many different hotels in the area. This is my favorite when I fly and don’t have my car! Parking is the only drag here as the closest lot is down the block. I highly recommend this for proximity to King St shopping, carriage rides, the covered market, house tours—all the sights you want.

The positives are that it is in a good location and our 2 br suite was large with a full kitchen (minus skillets and pans). However we were very disappointed with the condition of our suite/apt. The drain in the shower was clogged. The chandelier in the dining area just flickered and acted as if it had a short. We had 2 giant cockroaches and newspaper by the couch that was over a week old. Two days housekeeping came and didn’t take wet dirty towels on the bathroom floor. They sent them back upon complaint and they tidied the bathroom but didn’t dust a thing or vacuum so we were allergic. The walls are paper thin so if your neighbors aren’t quiet at night don’t expect to sleep. We had a non stop crying baby at all hours. We also heard a phone off of the hook. Breakfast isn’t really breakfast. Lots of carbs and sugar and little to no protein. The portions were very small. Service , including the front desk manager, were not customer service oriented and frankly the most apathetic of anywhere else I have ever stayed (except night front desk person was great) Also if steps are an issue definitely don’t stay here they are everywhere without rails and very poor lighting.

Had a great stay at the Restoration! Studio suite was clean, well equipped and comfortable for 2. The complimentary drinks in the room, daily breakfast and happy hour were very nice touches. Also appreciated the complimentary jeep rides around town. Location was perfect. Super friendly & helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again!!

From the moment we checked in everyone was over the top kind and accommodating. The breakfast basket arrived every morning with breakfast goodies and the hotels over type service was amazing ! There is a rooftop bar and restaurant with gorgeous views of Charleston (food wasn’t our fav but was ok) and a sweet little coffee shop attached for convenient lattes and coffee in the morning. We loved the charm of this hotel and will be staying again for sure.

Wonderful hotel in a very convenient location! We had a great time at the Restoration. The room was generous and we loved the fact that we had a washer and dryer in the unit. Also, the coffee shop on the property serves amazing speciality lattes, and we enjoyed that every morning together with the breakfast that arrived each morning in a cute basket at our door. Very original and highly appreciated!

First time staying in Charleston. Loved the hotel. My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom and it was bigger than my one bedroom apartment I had rented back home when I was younger. Rooftop restaurant was good but just wished they offered more items on the menu. The Rise coffee shop was one of my daily stops. I will be back!! Thank you for the hospitality.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is automatically delivered in a picnic basket to your room each morning, which consisted of mostly baked goods. Quality was so-so. They really need to figure out how to serve a sit down breakfast for guests, There was a coffee machine in the room, but we couldn’t figure out how to use it, and all they had in the room were artificial creamers which we don’t drink. The front desk staff was very friendly, but every time we called them, for example to ask how to use the coffee machine, no one picked up the phone and the voice mail box was full.

Beautiful hotel! We loved our room and the complimentary treats in the mini kitchen fridge! Very clean, quiet and comfortable and the staff was amazing. The location is right in the middle of everything, surrounded by fantastic shops and restaurants. One of our favorite things about the hotel was the coffee shop and rooftop bar! We were really disappointed about the breakfast basket so many reviews raved about. On one of the mornings it consisted of a bottle of Naked juice for each of us and some berries.

This lovely jewel is located in the centre of the city, a great spot located less than a block from King Street. Extremely convenient for walking everywhere, surrounded by great restaurants and shops. For those interested in doing some culture and historical sites, it does not get any better than this. The rooms are very spacious and the small-square infinity pool comes to a rescue your soul on a hot day. Everyday a banquet full of bake goods arrives to your door with truly southern charm items. Nice touch! Some of the staff was sensational, where others were a bit snobby. I guess not everyone can be like “William.” Most importantly, if you are looking for a great boutique hotel, The Restoration is the place !

-Rooms were big, clean and comfy. - The front desk staff wasn’t very helpful and we were rushed during check in and it felt very scattered. They didn’t seem to care. - Nick and Jack, the valet drivers were GREAT. These guys should be running the place! -The breakfast that was delivered to the room every day was a bit disappointing. Croissants and yogurt…. And in the last day, some moldy strawberry’s and blueberry’s. - The restaurant was yummy but not clear on what menu they were serving. - Pool was extremely small but clean

Fantastic stay. Nice amenities with breakfast baskets, wine and cheese social hours, evening cookies, sodas in fridge, laundry in unit, full kitchen, and jeep drop off within 2 miles. Restaurant was excellent, great drinks, and nice outdoor pool (small for simply cooling off) . Great location.

Lovely hotel in a prime location. Nice rooms, small pool to sit and relax, rooftop bar and restaurant. Coffee shop is a nice perk and there is a free ride to restaurants in Charleston for dinner. Our second time at this hotel and we will definitely be back. They are starting construction next door on a massive project, FYI
