This hotel is in a lovely 16th century building whose colonial beauty is enhanced by minimal decor much like the convent museum. We loved our rooms upstairs on the street. The staff could not have been more kind & helpful. Good american or mexican breakfast is available as well as snacks & drinks all day. It is in a perfect location. Excellent in every way!!!

The hotels in Oaxaca are all similar to Hotel Parador San Agustin -- older buildings with a rustic feel. It was a good price, but I wish they did not advertise having certain amenities when they do not. No air conditioning, only a ceiling fan and a floor fan. A mini fridge and air conditioning + a functioning TV would have been nice for the late evenings. We were able to keep the room relatively cool. Did not have many encounters with the staff, but they seemed nice. The location is the best part about this place. Very walkable, but I felt like most of the food was 10 min walk.

Fantastic stay!! The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the downtown, easy walking distance. Our room was quiet, well equiped and huge. We loved the restaurant, breakfast, and cafe. The staff were incredibly helpful and had great attention to detail.

la ubicacion es perfecta a 1 cuadra de la catedral y la plaza principal, ofrecen un desayuno muy rico y bastante llenador, tiene estacionamiento solo que no esta en el hotel, sino 2 o 3 cuadras abajo, y el personal del estacionamiento es muy amable, los detalles que le veo y que podrian mejorar es que mientras haces el check in deberia poner a un valet para que te reciba y lleve el auto para comodidad del huesped, porque en mi caso los autos se estacionan y hacen doble fila a fuera del hotel y no te permite estacionarte a pesar de que el hotel pone unos conos para que no se estacionen, y abajito hay un negocio de ventas de libros que inavade toda la banqueta y parte del paso de vehiculos, asi que tampoco te puedes estacionar ahí, y terminas estacionandote muy abajo. y que la habitacion no tiene aire acondicionado solo ventilador y la ventana que tiene es pequeña y da al patiio, lo cual resta privacidad. solo esos 2 detalles, pero yo le veo mas las ventajas que tiene. sin duda si regresaria a ese hotel.

PROS: The hotel is very pretty and clean and the staff is very attentive. It is in a great area and about a 5 minute walk to the zocalo. CONS: there is no air conditioning but the fans do help keep the room cool. There is no mini fridge or at least an ice maker. There is no where to store your drinks, baby formula or in my case insulin.

Gran opción de hospedaje. Está súper cerca de todos los sitios importantes, tanto que mi pareja y yo no tuvimos que tomar taxi para ningún lado. Al llegar nos dijeron que si pagábamos en efectivo nos iban a dar el desayuno gratis. Así lo hicimos y fue muy bueno! En un lindo restaurante en el patio del hotel puedes elegir chilaquiles, enmoladas, enfrijoladas, enchiladas y huevos al gusto. Todos incluyen pan con mermelada y mantequilla, jugo, y hasta chocolate oaxaqueño. Recamaras amplias así como el baño, todo muy rústico pero lindo. Todo el personal del hotel muy a amable.

An historic building with a lovely courtyard and very good proximity to the Zocalo, it was delightful to stay here! However it's historic nature means that many rooms have only window into the courtyard. If natural light is not a priority, the rooms are a good size, with very tall ceilings and quite comfortable with the ceiling fans on. One issue, perhaps common in Centro of Oaxaca was the water pressure. There were times of the day when flushing the toilet or taking a shower was a problem. The small restaurant has excellent food at very reasonable prices. However, all in all, I am happy we stayed there for 7 nights!

I am a single female traveler. This is a clean and comfortable place to stay, only a block over from the Zocalo. There is a little cafe attached that serves sandwiches, for when you don't want to go out to eat. Staff is very attentive, and sees to your every need. Mexican as well as foreign visitors stay here. It is an excellent value.

A block away from zocolo. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The place/room was clean. The only issue i had were dead coachroach. Found one in the shower and in the room. I'm going to assume they were coming in through the shower drain. Solution would be to put a drain covers when not in use. I realized that when i found drain covers at other hotels and no bugs, roaches.

Por estar en el centro caminando llega uno a los mejores lugares para comer e ir de compras. El personal del hotel en general muy amables La ducha del cuarto pésima con poca presión y gasto de agua y difícil de regular o salía muy caliente o fría. Desde temprano en el cuarto se escucha el murmullo de los comensales El cuarto no cuenta con cajones para guardar/ordenar la ropa

Sólo mejorar la limpieza en la habitación, hay un poco de cabello en sábanas y baño. El personal del restaurante y recepción son muy amables. Como sugerencia por favor incluir una cafetera en la habitación y el acceso a un minibar o refrigerador. Gracias

Muy bien localizado en el centro. La cama terriblemente dura y ruidosa al mínimo movimiento. Las habitaciones de planta baja están alrededor de un patio que es al mismo tiempo restaurante, hubo ruido hasta muy tarde y desde muy temprano.

Es un hotel con una ubicación excelente. Puedes ir caminando a los principales sitios de interés. Además también queda cerca de cajeros, farmacias, mercados de comida y artesanías, ropa, etc. La atención de la recepción y el restaurante fueron muy buenas. Quizá sólo considerar que algunas habitaciones pueden ser muy calurosas en verano como en la que me tocó por ejemplo. Y tal vez darle un poco más de mantenimiento a las paredes (había algunas manchadas en mi habitación). Fuera de eso, estuvo muy bien. Los desayunos fueron muy ricos.
Es un hotel con una ubicación excelente. Puedes ir caminando a los principales sitios de interés. Además también queda cerca de cajeros, farmacias, mercados de comida y artesanías, ropa, etc. La atención de la recepción y el restaurante fueron muy buenas. Quizá sólo considerar que algunas habitaciones pueden ser muy calurosas en verano como en la que me tocó por ejemplo. Y tal vez darle un poco más de mantenimiento a las paredes (había algunas manchadas en mi habitación). Fuera de eso, estuvo muy bien. Los desayunos fueron muy ricos.

Y Sobre la habitación sencilla que me tocó, es necesario que hagan mención de su ubicación, ya que está en la parte trasera del edificio, muy cerca de la cocina, y obvio se escucha el ruido de platos, cubiertos, voces fuertes; así uno decide si soporta eso o mejor pide otra habitación o ni modo, te mudas de hotel.

El hotel es lindo en general, sin embargo tuvimos problemas con el agua caliente más de la mitad de nuestra estancia. Además las cama que nos tocó estaba muy dura y fue difícil tener un descanso. El personal del hotel muy amable en todo momento.

I am a single female traveler. This is a clean and comfortable place to stay, only a block over from the Zocalo. There is a little cafe attached that serves sandwiches, for when you don't want to go out to eat. Staff is very attentive, and sees to your every need. Mexican as well as foreign visitors stay here. It is an excellent value.

Upon arrival, we felt at home. David was so informative and helpful. Omar, our restaurant server was absolutely amazing and also very informative. These guys went above and beyond to arrange an outting for that is not a planned tour. They are top notch hospitality professionals. And now, I'd like to call them our friends.

The hotel was an authentic Oaxacan masterpiece. The staff went out of the way to accommodate us in every way possible. We were almost overwhelmed by the depth of their service and willingness to accommodate us in the best way possible. Thank you to all of the staff.

The hotel may not look like much from the street but when you step inside it’s lovely. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and even booked us a cab for our early morning departure. He was so accommodating and friendly. The king suite was affordable and huge. Plenty of room to lounge, sleep, and shower. The common spaces were well taken care of and beautiful. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The hotels in Oaxaca are all similar to Hotel Parador San Agustin -- older buildings with a rustic feel. It was a good price, but I wish they did not advertise having certain amenities when they do not. No air conditioning, only a ceiling fan and a floor fan. A mini fridge and air conditioning + a functioning TV would have been nice for the late evenings. We were able to keep the room relatively cool. Did not have many encounters with the staff, but they seemed nice. The location is the best part about this place. Very walkable, but I felt like most of the food was 10 min walk.

This hotel is in a lovely 16th century building whose colonial beauty is enhanced by minimal decor much like the convent museum. We loved our rooms upstairs on the street. The staff could not have been more kind & helpful. Good american or mexican breakfast is available as well as snacks & drinks all day. It is in a perfect location. Excellent in every way!!!

Fantastic stay!! The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the downtown, easy walking distance. Our room was quiet, well equiped and huge. We loved the restaurant, breakfast, and cafe. The staff were incredibly helpful and had great attention to detail.

Gran opción de hospedaje. Está súper cerca de todos los sitios importantes, tanto que mi pareja y yo no tuvimos que tomar taxi para ningún lado. Al llegar nos dijeron que si pagábamos en efectivo nos iban a dar el desayuno gratis. Así lo hicimos y fue muy bueno! En un lindo restaurante en el patio del hotel puedes elegir chilaquiles, enmoladas, enfrijoladas, enchiladas y huevos al gusto. Todos incluyen pan con mermelada y mantequilla, jugo, y hasta chocolate oaxaqueño. Recamaras amplias así como el baño, todo muy rústico pero lindo. Todo el personal del hotel muy a amable.

En lo personal el hotel esta muy bien ubicado y la atención del personal es excelente, solo un detalle, es que NO todas las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado y el las características dice que TODAS las habitaciones lo tienen, al principio nos habían asignado una habitación sin aire, y al comentar a recepción que queríamos una habitación con aire nos cambiaron, creo que deben de especificar que no todas las habitaciones cuentan con aire acondicionado

I reserved online and when checking in to the location they charged me for the second room at a different/higher price. The receptionist told me I had chosen 2 different rooms when I selected 2 rooms at reserving online and they couldn’t help me since I didn’t reserve thru their hotel. I checked the prices per room and they were actually higher if reserved thorough them. Very disappointing I felt it was a ripoff but I had no choice but to stay as family was tired and was going to get charged on my credit card for trying to cancel. There was manifestations from citizens to the government and the streets were blocked with tents for blocks and blocks making it inaccessible by car and we had to walk amount a bunch of hurdles to get to the hotel. There was a lot of termites in our beds due to the heath and when we asked what the bugs in our beds were, they said they didn’t knew but that they would go away. I will never stay at this hotel or recommend it to anyone
