Beautiful 400 year old property inside castle villa of Óbidos in Portugal. Great experience. Don’t bring a lot of luggage as the parking is a ways and you will need to carry your bags or roll them on cobblestone road.

You must park outside the walls. It was difficult finding out where to park since there are signs for the hotel. Breakfast was great. People nice. Quaint.

The location is superb - at the top of the town, close of the Castelo and the ramparts! The B&B is "old charm", full of characters with an older style that is so befitting of this old town. The room was great in that it had a window way up, so we could leave it open all night (since no AC) with no fear of any "visitor!" The breakfast was decent, and the welcome was very friendly! It was not easy to understand how to get there - meandering roads outside the walls of the town, and especially where to park, but it all worked out with our ability to drag our suitcases on cobblestones. Would love to stay there again - town and B&B are very special!

Un très joli petit hôtel typique très bien placé à côté du château. idéal pour passer la nuit à Óbidos. L’hôtel dispose d’un petit patio très sympathique en fin d’après-midi. Il est très bien décoré dans un style local. Si tu es au bout de la rue, l’hôtel est très calme le soir malgré son emplacement stratégique. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Attention, si vous avez une voiture, il peut être un peu compliqué de se garer. Le parking principal est étant situé à l’opposé de la ville.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful guesthouse! The people were very friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic! Just an FYI, parking is a bit of a challenge and Google maps wasn't very helpful. But other than that, we loved the place and we loved Obidos!

3.5 would be a better overall rating. The property is unique in that it is within the walls of Obidos. It is charming with small public areas and courtyard. The rooms are small, but comfortable. All of the hallways are narrow and taller folks will need to lower their heads when passing through doorways. Breakfast was ok. If you like old and quaint, this is the spot for you. We enjoyed it for one night.

Bad checkin experience, couldn’t check in before 3 pm .. went for a walk, came back at 2:40 pm, staff argued with me that I can’t even wait in the lobby and that i need to leave and come back at 3 pm ! Then eventually did let me wait at the lobby as I was tired and was so hot outside. I was given a room that has no view, no AC, no fans, mold on the bathroom ceiling, breakfast has small quantities of each and poor refilling service. Overall, would not stay here again.

Inn was nice, but room was small. If staying here recommend you not bring anything larger than an overnight bag as cars cannot access the location. We had been traveling for 3 weeks and had larger bags. Our Uber driver dropped us off outside the walls and we had a 10-minute walk uphill over cobble stones dragging bags. But the woman who was on duty the next morning was very helpful and arranged for a taxi and the driver walked up to the inn and carried our bags down to his car. It was expensive - 19 euros plus tip.

Within the old walled city, this charming guesthouse is a joy to behold. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, easy to walk to restaurants, being in the town allows a walk along the ramparts st sunset: just magical. Breakfast was great, too!

Muito boa opção, excelente custo benefício, atendimento de Raquel e Anabela, impecável. Óbidos é linda e com boa estrutura de bares se restaurantes. Saliento aqui, diferente de outras avaliações que li anteriormente, os táxi de Óbidos e de Caldas da Rainha, podem deixar os hóspedes dentro do castelo junto aos hotéis.

Within the old walled city, this charming guesthouse is a joy to behold. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, easy to walk to restaurants, being in the town allows a walk along the ramparts st sunset: just magical. Breakfast was great, too!

The location is superb - at the top of the town, close of the Castelo and the ramparts! The B&B is "old charm", full of characters with an older style that is so befitting of this old town. The room was great in that it had a window way up, so we could leave it open all night (since no AC) with no fear of any "visitor!" The breakfast was decent, and the welcome was very friendly! It was not easy to understand how to get there - meandering roads outside the walls of the town, and especially where to park, but it all worked out with our ability to drag our suitcases on cobblestones. Would love to stay there again - town and B&B are very special!

Hotel aconchegante, mas bem simples. Não tem acesso de carro e fica a 650 metros de onde o carro pode chegar. A caminhada parece pequena se você não estiver de mala. Com mala vira uma eternidade visto que o chão é de pedra. Café da manhã com pouca variedade.

Very unique property with stone walls and 17th century feel. The staff were very willing to please. Great breakfast although different from Canada. Only drawback was our bathroom was a little cramped.

Bad checkin experience, couldn’t check in before 3 pm .. went for a walk, came back at 2:40 pm, staff argued with me that I can’t even wait in the lobby and that i need to leave and come back at 3 pm ! Then eventually did let me wait at the lobby as I was tired and was so hot outside. I was given a room that has no view, no AC, no fans, mold on the bathroom ceiling, breakfast has small quantities of each and poor refilling service. Overall, would not stay here again.

A fantastic, beautiful place to stay within the Castle walls. The staff was outstanding. The breakfast was delicious. I do totally disagree with one person opinion that stayed in Room 1. I stayed in Room 1 and NO a person in a car CAN NOT reach their hand from their car into your window. The Guest House is so beautiful and the staff was super friendly helpful. A great place to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful guesthouse! The people were very friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic! Just an FYI, parking is a bit of a challenge and Google maps wasn't very helpful. But other than that, we loved the place and we loved Obidos!

Nous avons adoré l’endroit nous avons séjourné seulement une nuit et c’était vraiment agréable l’emplacement est merveilleux pour l’immersion dans un village médiéval, nous avons été accueilli par une charmante dame qui parlait très bien français, j’hésiterais pas à y retourner merci!

The location being right near the Castle was good for us as we went there for an excellent dinner It was at the top of a steep cobblestone street, and Uber does not go up that way We were told GPS does not work within the town walls When we had to call a taxi the morning, we were leaving the phones and Internet at the hotel were down. Fortunately, my phone had service to call a taxi. The Internet was down during our stay There is no one on duty after 5 o’clock or the last arranged check-in you are given a key for the side door to let yourself in I think if they were to unclutter some of the furniture, it would make it easier to maneuver with luggage It was an interesting experience

This is a storybook property, very quaint and charming. This is an old property though so don’t expect anything modern. Also, if you are a large person the small doors and hallways might be uncomfortable. This property is on-a walking street only about 1/3 mile to parking and a minute walk to the castle. Google maps originally put us on a very winding road that goes to the castle, don’t go this way, google Obidos Parking instead and avoid the windy roads.
