You do have to check in at their sister property right across the street and breakfast is served there also, but that was not an issue for us.

Nice historic property. Small boutique. Large room and well-appointed with small fridge and microwave. Nice, friendly housekeeper. Nice front desk staff. Breakfast could be better-which is at a sister property across the street. Omelet station-which was nice. But, American Cheese was really bad. Please use a cheddar, etc. Rest of the food options were weak. Generic Raisin Bran, etc. At $300 /nt. move the breakfast up a notch! Parking was tight. But, likely parking at sister property is available. We were able to find parking each night.

We really loved this place. Location was great. Room was good. It was surprisingly quiet. Pool was lovely. The only drawback was you had to cross a busy street to get to the front desk. Glad it wasn’t raining.

Great location in walking distance to Duval and southernmost point. Staff is extremely accommodating and very kind. The house is adult only and remodeled. There is a sparkling clean and private pool, plus parking (which can be hard to come by or expensive in Key West). The breakfast is great, the only thing is you have to cross the street. We always like to stay here.

The place is great, our room was clean and quiet, mattress and pillows were excellent, close to Duval street...the only thing was the smell in the hallway, they need to clean carpet or replace that carpet... But nothing from holding you from renting a room there...

My room was super-cute, clean and well stocked. (i.e. microwave, refrigerator, bathroom supplies, area information booklet, etc.) The staff was knowledgeable about great restaurants, beaches and local hangouts. The pool and main areas were beautifully landscaped, well lite and clean. Breakfast, which was across the street at their sister hotel, was continental and offered an omelet station. I would definitely stay there again!

We had an amazing stay at La Pensione Inn. The rooms were clean, comfortable and amazingly well decorated. For an old house it didn’t even have a squeaky floor board. The bathroom was also spotless. The pool and breakfast were also enjoyable.

We enjoyed a daily breakfast that was available across the street at Silver Springs Inn. The breakfast had a decent variety of items to our liking including an omlet station. The room was very clean! The property was taken care of & the staff was very friendly & helpful!! The On the downside the room didn't have much natural light coming in due to the dark wooden shutters on the outside covering the windows. BUT.....the darkness was a plus in the early morning hours! It felt very damp in the room. By the end of our stay our clothes even felt damp & the towels did not dry well.

The property was amazing. Our room was very large, and everything about it was clean, comfortable and in excellent condition. Property is located in a great spot just a few blocks from Duval and it was easy to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Parking right at the property meant not having to hunt for parking. Would definitely return here. Highly recommend this property.

Great breakfast, accommodations, pool. The AC had gone out so the hotel staff had a portable unit in the room. It cooled ok but was loud, running the entire time. They did offer us another room that was multi-level but we didn’t really want to have stairs in the room. Hopefully the AC will be fixed before the next guest's stay.

The room was nice, the bed’s mattress was very firm, it came with a mini fridge and a microwave and also had a safe in it. The shower was very nice but the bathroom was very small. The parking lot was only for about 8 to 10 vehicles but you could park across the street at their sister facility. In the original comments I had asked for a quiet room if their was going to be any noise around the hotel, well I was put in a room on the same side where they were building a 2-story house so every morning between 7:30 and 8:00 we was woke up by the noise, and also you have to use a key to let yourself inside the hotel at La Pensione and everytime we had to play with the lock to get inside, but it was one of the cheaper hotels to stay at, so I guess you get what you pay for.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was within a 5 minute walk to Duval. Parking was covenient and safe for the car. The walk across the street to the main hotel only took 30 seconds to a minute. Breakfast was delicious with homemade omelettes pool-side. The neighborhood around it was kind of run-down. The room we had was great but it was bottom floor. With wood floors through-out, the people above were very loud and seemed to be awake all night. The entrance to our room was ground floor and maybe 50 feet from the sidewalk. Keep your doors locked! We did have someone try our door twice while we were there. Once in the middle of the night. All and all no complaints, but will search for something perhaps a bit further from the sidewalk and main drag of the town.

PLUSES-Our room was charming and very spacious! Two robes and slippers included…that was a nice surprise, beautiful semi private wrap around balcony. Comfy bed (we had the deluxe adult king? 205) bathroom was great! Toiletries also included which is a huge bonus!! Kind staff! Great option of two pools! The sweet lady at the desk, Simone, gave us some sunscreen to use because we lost ours and Emma at check in was as nice as could be. There were also two young gentleman and we didn’t get their names, but very helpful! Perfect location! MINUSES-not their fault, LOTS of traffic noise, at least in our street facing room. Like it was in our room, including airport noise. There is no way to dim or turn off the balcony or hall lights. Soooo, I had an eye mask and bought ear plugs and problem solved. Breakfast omelets were great but could use some jazzing up for those who stay more than 1 night. Maybe fresh cut up fruit or waffles? But it was not a deal breaker! Overall, we would totally recommend and even our friends who didn’t stay there were sad they didn’t once they saw our room!

Shower had hardly any pressure, very limited shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast was terrible, a complete waste of time and seating area was awful. Staff unfriendly and reception across the road cheapened the experience….felt like a motel.

Great location with sister property, Silver Palm, across the street. That is where you check in and have the free breakfast. The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home just as soon as we walked in the door. The hotel was a converted home that was very well kept and our room walked out directly to the pool area which was very nice. It was quiet and private even being that close to the pool. The portable A/C unit that was in the room was pretty loud, so that made it harder for us to fall asleep, but that was the only negative I can say for this hotel. All in all it was worth the money we paid to be so close to Duval Street and all the locations we wanted to visit.

upon arrival it wasn't mentioned that you needed to check in across the street. NO big deal. Parking on property but was closed due to construction. NO big deal. Was able to park across the street. Arrived on 12/23 room was cute. The air conditioner didn't work. It was brought to the front desk attention, this was noon. didn't arrive back to the room until late. Wasn't fixed. first night was uncomfortable TO hot. Told front desk next morning and got back to find nothing had been done. the third attempt I was able to get a manger that made it happen. The good news is they put a portable air conditioner and cooled down the room but it was so LOUD you had to wear ear plugs to drown out the sound. The windows had shutters on the outside which was the architecture of the building. You couldn't look out. Did realize that when made the reservations. If I had to stay again I would but with so many other options. I would probably stay more closer to Deval Street. Was the first time in KW.

PLUSES-Our room was charming and very spacious! Two robes and slippers included…that was a nice surprise, beautiful semi private wrap around balcony. Comfy bed (we had the deluxe adult king? 205) bathroom was great! Toiletries also included which is a huge bonus!! Kind staff! Great option of two pools! The sweet lady at the desk, Simone, gave us some sunscreen to use because we lost ours and Emma at check in was as nice as could be. There were also two young gentleman and we didn’t get their names, but very helpful! Perfect location! MINUSES-not their fault, LOTS of traffic noise, at least in our street facing room. Like it was in our room, including airport noise. There is no way to dim or turn off the balcony or hall lights. Soooo, I had an eye mask and bought ear plugs and problem solved. Breakfast omelets were great but could use some jazzing up for those who stay more than 1 night. Maybe fresh cut up fruit or waffles? But it was not a deal breaker! Overall, we would totally recommend and even our friends who didn’t stay there were sad they didn’t once they saw our room!

The property was amazing. Our room was very large, and everything about it was clean, comfortable and in excellent condition. Property is located in a great spot just a few blocks from Duval and it was easy to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Parking right at the property meant not having to hunt for parking. Would definitely return here. Highly recommend this property.

They were small which worked well for us as it was just the right amount for me and for my husband he put the omlet and cold cuts on a bagel to make a bagel ham/egg/cheese each morning. Only negative is that Truman is a busy street so the traffic is loud when trying to sleep.

The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and had a great shower. It was relaxing to cool off in the pool after a hot afternoon walking around site seeing. We loved the fresh, made to order omelets for breakfast!! You do have to check in at their sister property right across the street and breakfast is served there also, but that was not an issue for us.

They shouldn\'t advertise this property as a B&B. The dining room and reception here are closed "for COVID" and you have to cross a busy main road to get breakfast at an associated motel up the street. There are no staff at this property, it is essentially an extension of the motel. This was not worth $500/night

La Pensione is quite a charming boutique hotel. The staff was amiable. Two minor issues with the hotel were the hotel's location was super noisy (unable to get any sleep) and the breakfast area was too small to accommodate two hotels (sister hotel Silver Palms). I'd look at other hotels when booking rooms in the future.

We had an amazing stay at La Pensione Inn. The rooms were clean, comfortable and amazingly well decorated. For an old house it didn’t even have a squeaky floor board. The bathroom was also spotless. The pool and breakfast were also enjoyable.

I highly recommend a deluxe king room with access to the 2nd floor balcony, which affords elevated seating to reflect on life while steeped in classic Old Florida charm. Outside noise can penetrate these rooms, but it largely abates at night. If you make your peace with it, it can even enhance the experience: Truman Ave bustles from below (scooters, subwoofers, and Harleys, the latter two generally busting eardrums everywhere else on Key West) and daytime arriving flights, whose glide paths are beautifully framed by the east balcony pillars and dapple the blue sky with a colorful array of passing airline tail colors. This might sound mildly sarcastic--it's not. The whole experience was lovely. We would happily rebook and stay here again.
