Chateau Inn and Suites

I ll start with the positives - amazing decor , beautiful reception area with amazing reception area living room and cozy romantic fireplace They offer coffee and water with lemon and peach juice for free We got a free upgrade to the room and they gave us a penthouse suite without us even asking for it , which was a nice touch Now the negatives , the hotel is close to the train which honks with long loud horns all night , which is very disturbing if you are a light sleeper or trying to fall asleep The windows in the room do not close fully so you need to always keep AC on otherwise it will become really cold in the room when it's cold outside The parking lot belonging to the hotel fills up fast and you can't park on street so you have to park by train station across street which is also slightly inconvenient The AC in the room is super loud and it's hard to see whether it's on hot or cold because it is located far and you can't get to it because of stairs Lastly , we asked for a late check out and they only gave us for 12 pm and we asked multiple times but there was no getting through , usually hotels accommodate till 1 or 2 pm but here was impossible to budge Overall I would recommend this hotel for the decor and looks and nice upkeep , the rooms have all necessary and above amenities , however the AC / window and check out situation and the loud train that's constantly blowing loud horns makes me a bit reserved on staying here again.

The rooms were updated and very nice. Great shower! The lobby area was also really nice for sitting with a cup of tea in front of a fire.

Check in was delightful! Front desk was kind, courteous and super helpful. I got a recommendation on great food nearby and my room was well decorated and very clean. I will gladly come back.

Parking at hotel was easy, even if there were no spots ,parking at train station was fine. During the day there was plenty of street parking. The hotel upgraded us to a king suite that was fantastic. It had a little porch with tables and chairs over looking park. Free use of beach towels and chairs and even bicycles was a great perk. We drove to beach on 2 days. Parking at beach excellent. Beach clean and very quiet. All staff very friendly and helpful. All day coffee/tea/water in lobby a nice treat. Will be coming back again

Location was nice, staff courteous, bed very comfortable, very clean. Room was charming, though some fixtures a bit dated and the floor sagged (old building). We were disappointed that one night we had to park at the train station a block away. We selected this hotel over others in the area because it had parking, but apparently not enough. It was a pricey room so not happy to leave the car offsite. Only coffee offered, no breakfast. The bathroom was small, not surprisingly so as it was an older building. However the lighting was so dim I sat in the bedroom to do my makeup. Nespresso supplies in the room were not refreshed during the stay.

The place only had a few parking spots, so we had to walk to a whole different parking lot in the freezing cold in the wind and it was very unpleasant. The whole night you could hear people “having a good time” and moving furniture around. In the morning we could hear eveything the walls must be super thin. Kids running around, crying, screaming. People talking way too loud and not acknowledging their kids causing a ruckus. All this was right next to the check in counter and the employees didn’t do anything about it. The interior of the hotel room is very nice and the bed is very comfortable.

Availability of bicycles. Impeccably kept lodgings, common areas and gardens. Staff curteous and accomodating.

Great inn. Beautiful historic building. Short walk to the beach, downtown and a nice park. Very pleasant lobby with a fireplace. Will return many times for sure

Very comfortable room with lots of space. Great bathroom. Very clean. Extensively renovated since our last visit.

There’s nothing not to like. It’s immaculately clean, the water pressure, unlike many places, is fantastic, it’s beautifully decorated, the beds are super comfortable and there are several little touches that make it even more special. We much appreciated the help with our luggage. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Second time we have stayed here. Our room on the third floor was very clean and quiet. The location is excellent - a few blocks from the boardwalk and the shops. Also very good restaurants in the neighboring towns.

This is a very lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. It is within walking to the shopping district of Spring Lake, which is quite robust. The accomodations were very nice. My only complaint is that the in-wall A/C was pretty loud.

The room on the 2nd floor was noisy and you could hear them every time they walked around. Extremely unhappy when I had to park at the train station and walk to the Inn in the rain.

I was a little disappointed that there was no option for breakfast, even continental . The sofa bed/pullout was not comfortable at all for sleeping. However, the room and bathroom were clean,comfortable and well appointed.

This place is so cute! Feels very homey and welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was good. My room was the cutest with a fireplace, cute decor, 2 patios, big tub (looked like a Jacuzzi) and lots of space. Highly recommend. Will come back again.

Parking was awful and the room was really small. Forget climbing into the shower

Nice property. Room was nice. Bed was hard as a rock. Hard to control the water temperature with the shower. I wouldn't stay there again.

Nice overall property but rooms are very tight (we had 2) with no desk or any flat surface for using a computer or anything else. Not much in the way of other facilities and downtown area around it has little services (deli, liquor store, train station) and is just like any other rural NJ town.

Beautiful property, my suite was perfect with lovely decor, very upscale. Fireplace with an easy to light log, chandeliers, balcony. Recommend staying on the second floor if you’re traveling on your own, it felt very safe. Everyone is super friendly. Coffee and tea available all day long in the parlor. Easy walk to the beach. Really loved my stay.

We enjoyed a lovely week's stay and enjoyed every minute! The staff was lovely and attentive. I enjoyed morning walks into town and on the boardwalk. It's a lovely inn in a wonderful town. I can't wait to return!

I haven't been here in about ten years. They've made lovely updates & the front desk staff is wonderful.

Great accommodations in the heart of Spring Lake, NJ aka the "Irish Riviera". Great proximity to the lake, beach, dining and shopping.

Very clean and nicely decorated. Property is in historic area, very suburban - beautiful lake and park across the street. Staff very helpful. Loved our "living room" with fireplace. Only minor is that some room doors immediately face the street, though traffic was basically non-existent over the weekend. Our room is right next to Fire House next door - luckily no fire dept. calls all weekend.

We love this hotel! We come a couple times per year and feels almost like a second home. Love, love, love the complimentary iced tea, lemon and cuke water in the elegant dispensers. Bed is super comfy and sitting in the second floor gazebo is so relaxing. Looking forward to our next stay!

I have a sister who is also originally from this area, and whenever she visits from Oklahoma, she stays at the Chateau, and she absolutely loves it. I took my 5 year old with autism here and we just stayed for 1 night, just 30 mins from home. I Am so glad we did. This to me, is a 4 to 5 star hotel, with the charm if a bed and breakfast in historical Spring Lake. We ordered our food from outside restaurants and had it delivered with ease, the staff was very very kind, and I was just so relaxed the whole time. Everything in the room was impeccable and is exactly as you see it in the photos. I still gave this 5 stats even though they dont serve any food, but they have coffee, lemon water, and fresh homemade lemon iced tea in the gallery area. It is right next to town, and tons of bars and restaurants, with a park across the street next to spring lake. It's a place we are sure to visit again wgen we need a little getaway! Perfect!
