From the outside it is a lovely looking beach front Hotel at the Jersey Shore. Unfortunately, we were told that there is no parking on the property unless you are in a suite. You have to park across the street due to Spring Lake laws that don't allow overnight parking on the inside streets. We had to park 2 blocks from the hotel. It's not so much about the walk back but none of the suite parking spots were in use while we were there. It would have been nice of the staff to allow us to use them for our one-night stay. The Rooms are clean and pleasant, but the beds are extremely hard. Not firm but hard like a concrete walkway. We don't get away too often and it would have been nice to have a comfortable bed to sleep in. I would not recommend this Hotel to my friends or family.

No blow dryer was told they get stolen and i said the website says each room Has blow dryer ? Next morning i talked to different lady and she got us a blow dryer. No one said it was a 3rd floor walk up very inconvenient for elder people as we are . Never again !!!

Allison and Bob are very friendly and accommodating. The area is beautiful. I wish there was a private changing room with a shower outside of the property, maybe in the backyard area. This would make it more convenient for guests wishing to stay longer at the beach after checkout. Otherwise, I’ve been here twice solo and feel very safe and comfortable. It’s a truly relaxing experience in a beautiful area.

Our room (#1) was very small and one side of the queen bed didn't have a nightstand. The window shades didnt sufficiently block out light so we were up each morning earlier than we would have liked. It’s weird that the only way to enter is through the restaurant which is a very high end place so coming through in a bathing suit from beach across the street feels odd. The staff is nice enough but there’s nothin to be done about these things. Don’t let the pictures fool you By the way, there is no pool on the premises that picture is the pool at the Breakers hotel next door which is not on hotels.com or Expedia only available directly from their website.

This is our 3rd annual visit. A lovely, less "touristy" NJ shore, right across the street from the beach with a quiet victorian feel. Beach badges, towels, chairs, umbrellas provided. Fantastic restaurant on first floor. Staff and especially the general manager were just great.

Noone at the hotel to greet you, restaurant downstairs is a separate business and on both Sat and Sun at 730am they were vaccuming loudly completely oblivious of hotel guests

We had a lovely stay, restaurant was delicious and we enjoyed very much. Only negative comment was there should be parking for all staying at the property, not just the elite customers.

We had a lovely stay. Staff was very gracious, allowed us to check in a little early, our beach view was out a side window but still beautiful. The water refill downstairs was not working. Keurig was shared in the lobby (not in individual rooms). Room was very clean and staff was very accommodating… gave great recommendations for breakfast and pastries.

I don’t think I’ve stayed at a more accommodating hotel in all my travels. Allison and Bob at the front desk went above and beyond, and were friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The grounds were lovely, dedicated parking in the rear for our specific rooms was a huge plus, and add on beach badges that included pool access for the north and south pavilion Spring Lake pools was amaaaazing for our little one. As other comments have noted - the property does not have a common area which was fine for us but it definitely would have been nice. It’s entirely understandable since the ground floor of the property is taken up by the restaurant (Amelia’s). Our rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were always willing to help us with little things here and there (extra towels, a rollaway bed, extra blanket, etc.). The rooms we stayed in seemed modern enough but the finishes weren’t top notch and quite a few things had dents and scratches - which again - is totally fine. Most important to me was the cleanliness - and it was great in that regard. Location was ideal. Beach is across the street and was never super busy or crowded (for Jersey standards). Downtown was a few blocks away - my wife and I would use the complimentary bicycles to ride into town to scoop breakfast for everyone in our party. It was a wonderful experience overall and we can’t wait to come back!

Hotel has a very accomodating staff and offers some nice amenities including beach tags, chairs, umbrellas, bicycles and a gold cart shuttle service. Although I didnt eat at the restaurant on the main floor, it looked good. The room I stayed in was a little small if you are staying for a longer duration. Overall, would stay here again.

Beautifully maintained. Very clean. Only one downside was extremely tiny bathroom. Front desk staff were all amazingly accommodating, friendly, and do anything to make you feel welcomed. Very wonderful experience.

Beautiful property facing the beach! The room was lovely and so clean. Allison at the front desk is super sweet and cordial. She was very helpful giving recommendations to eateries. We will definitely be back. If you want a quiet weekend in a beautiful town, this is the place to be.

This hotel is quaint , ocean front and in a beautiful location , our room #16 was sub par . The bathroom was ridiculously small (which would explain why there was no picture when booking ) the shower tile was a disgrace. I am 5 4"and 130 lb and could barley move in the shower. The was water supply was abysmal and was barely tepid after running for several minutes. The heat did not work and we were freezing all night, the sheets were scratchy and I had a rash on my body for days. We left early in the morning cold and unable to shower . The guy in the front desk was pleasant & helpful . We wont be back !

We stayed in room 14 ( we don’t recommend it) it’s too small with 1 chair and a tiny table. Not a full bath so nowhere to put our toiletries. The shower was so small my elbows have bruises from bumping into the walls. No soap dish or a place to put shampoos or razor. Overall the place is nice but the room was a big disappointment

Lovely property right on the beach. Staff was so friendly and accommodating! In true Victorian style, the rooms are small and the bathroom is tight. But the rest makes up for this. I can’t wait to stay again!

The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome, even walking us to our room. We got there early and they gave us a towel and beach badge to use while we waited until check in. They did not have to do this. The building is dated, and our bathroom was clean but in rough shape. The shower is tiny and it's hard to fit in there (I am average build). But we were not in the room for long, so this did not matter to us. Avoid Room #12. It is over the kitchen and there is noise/music/pots and pans clanging until ~10 PM. The front desk woman made out a list of things to do locally when we had bad weather and couldn't use the beach. The staff really made the stay pleasant and we will come again because of this, just in a different room.

No blow dryer was told they get stolen and i said the website says each room Has blow dryer ? Next morning i talked to different lady and she got us a blow dryer. No one said it was a 3rd floor walk up very inconvenient for elder people as we are . Never again !!!

Everyone in the staff, especially Allison, is extremely friendly and helpful and polite. The property is in excellent condition considering it's age. The rooms have the feel of it's era, but also a touch of modern such as AC in the room, a nice size TV on the wall, and Wi-Fi, just to mention a few.

The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome, even walking us to our room. We got there early and they gave us a towel and beach badge to use while we waited until check in. They did not have to do this. The building is dated, and our bathroom was clean but in rough shape. The shower is tiny and it's hard to fit in there (I am average build). But we were not in the room for long, so this did not matter to us. Avoid Room #12. It is over the kitchen and there is noise/music/pots and pans clanging until ~10 PM. The front desk woman made out a list of things to do locally when we had bad weather and couldn't use the beach. The staff really made the stay pleasant and we will come again because of this, just in a different room.

I don’t think I’ve stayed at a more accommodating hotel in all my travels. Allison and Bob at the front desk went above and beyond, and were friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The grounds were lovely, dedicated parking in the rear for our specific rooms was a huge plus, and add on beach badges that included pool access for the north and south pavilion Spring Lake pools was amaaaazing for our little one. As other comments have noted - the property does not have a common area which was fine for us but it definitely would have been nice. It’s entirely understandable since the ground floor of the property is taken up by the restaurant (Amelia’s). Our rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were always willing to help us with little things here and there (extra towels, a rollaway bed, extra blanket, etc.). The rooms we stayed in seemed modern enough but the finishes weren’t top notch and quite a few things had dents and scratches - which again - is totally fine. Most important to me was the cleanliness - and it was great in that regard. Location was ideal. Beach is across the street and was never super busy or crowded (for Jersey standards). Downtown was a few blocks away - my wife and I would use the complimentary bicycles to ride into town to scoop breakfast for everyone in our party. It was a wonderful experience overall and we can’t wait to come back!

This is a beautiful old home that is now a restaurant and hotel. The area is amazing. The service was wonderful. We enjoyed a morning walk on the boardwalk. A local breakfast spot was within walking distance and it was great.

The Grant Victorian has everything you need to have a wonderful stay! It is in an amazing location that is walkable. Bikes are available to ride as well as a golf cart service. Spring lake is beautiful and pristine.

Allison from hotel emailed me she upgraded my room snd it was on the 3rd floor room 17. Not true it was a a small 12x13 room with a wall heater and a bathroom with no towel hangers one hook on bathroom door. Barely room to navigate around the bed. Rooms were clean but towels were still damp. I had only one hand towel which was dirty & one wash cloth. Since no one was on site when I arrived at 3:00 pm I could only send an email to ask 4 more. I am in my 70 s and had tremendous difficulty dragging two heavy suitcases up three flights of steps. My daughter had a broken displaced hip snd could not help me. Don’t expect any assistance with anything. TVhad No volume control and blaringly Loud. hotel has three floors of rooms. A Italian seafood restaurant takes up the first floor Hotel and restaurant share the only entrance. Anyone can walk upstairs at any time to your room if they have entered the restaurant. The dinner at the restaurant was great until - I awoke to a migraine, vomiting and severe diarrhea until I was dehydrated. I left the hotel snd went to my daughters to recuperate. Im very allergic to mussels; since there were a few menu dishes with mussels I surmised my dinner must have been in contact with mussels. I recovered quickly at my daughters apartment . the air at the hotel was stuffy, I awoke both mornings with a severe migraine. The $200,00 daily charge with NO breakfast is way overpriced. I left hotel at 8:00 am; office still closed.

This is our 3rd annual visit. A lovely, less "touristy" NJ shore, right across the street from the beach with a quiet victorian feel. Beach badges, towels, chairs, umbrellas provided. Fantastic restaurant on first floor. Staff and especially the general manager were just great.

We had a lovely stay. Staff was very gracious, allowed us to check in a little early, our beach view was out a side window but still beautiful. The water refill downstairs was not working. Keurig was shared in the lobby (not in individual rooms). Room was very clean and staff was very accommodating… gave great recommendations for breakfast and pastries.

What’s not to like about Spring Lake. Great hotel, restaurant, walk to beach, bicycle availability, beach chairs, towels and just about everything the Grand Victorian offers. Plus Ann incredibly accommodating staff.

Hotel has a very accomodating staff and offers some nice amenities including beach tags, chairs, umbrellas, bicycles and a gold cart shuttle service. Although I didnt eat at the restaurant on the main floor, it looked good. The room I stayed in was a little small if you are staying for a longer duration. Overall, would stay here again.

We loved the location. There are loads of very STEEP STAIRS and NO ELEVATOR. We would go back but get another room. Towards front of building. Great bed linens & towels. No pool. And no breakfast served. It’s got charm. But not a lot of “extras”.

Enjoyed our stay! The staff was very helpful and the room was clean. We appreciated that the HVAC is a split unit and not a window or wall unit. Location is great! We were able to walk to the shops and restaurants in town yet still have a view of the ocean. We will return!
