We wished we had stayed 2 nights! It wascozy coming in. Very quiet, easy to access, unwind upon arrival. The next morning was, great grits and breakfast options. Beautiful art, gems, scenery, and antiques. A truly renewed stay.

The breakfast was excellent both mornings , same menu. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The staff was very accommodating. /. The room we were in was right off front and side porch. If anyone was out there they could be easily heard. The drapes did not seem to provide privacy from porch. It seemed dark although there were several lamps in room.

Worthless internet! Speedtest @ 0.5 mbps. Breakfast was very nice and the beds were comfortable albeit an old place. The porch is lovely.

The hot water never got above luke warm so no hot bath. There was no ice. There was no coffee before 8:30. There was supposed to be breakfast included, however, there was no sign of activity in the dining room when we left at 9:00am. The linens were worn out.

I booked this lodge for a weekend trip when I didn’t want to stay at a chain hotel. The lodge was adorable, the owners were friendly, and everything was clean. The lobby had a nice collection of board games and puzzles, along with a good sized lending library. The room was quiet and stocked with everything you would expect from a hotel. We had a great time and didn’t want to leave at the end.

The lodge is rustic and filled with rocks, gems, amethyst and great energy. The owner is very personable and eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. He made us a vegan breakfast after learning of our vegan diet. The floors are creaky particularly the upstairs rooms but comfortable with other amenities like coffee and tea all night. We enjoyed our stay and will come back.

Historic property with aged facilities which adds to the character. Comfortable and unique, with access to the lobby after reception closed. The highlight was the amazing breakfast that is included. Truly delicious and worth the visit. Recommend.

The lodge personnel were very friendly. The room I stayed in was very dusty and gave me a headache the first night. 10 minutes of extra cleaning would make a real difference in guest satisfaction. Breakfast was delicious!

Upon checking in, it was safe to determine that this facility was NOT for someone traveling for business. On a business trip one can't wait until 8 am or later for breakfast service to be open. The front desk can't be unoccupied most hour of the day. Lastly, when leaving an envelope for services in your room, you'd assume that services would be provided in that room. I was there for a 3 day stay and I used the same towels, had unemptied trash cans and the room came with a sliver of soap for the shower. By the way, if the shower curtain doesn't reach the bottom of the shower, don't put a shag rug in the bathroom.

Staff was wonderful, location is not a great area. The view is of local homes in need of repair. Room was not as clean as I would expect for the price and being a B&B.. Dust and crud caked in some areas of the bathroom.. Staff was great, but would not stay here again.

I really liked the atmosphere inside. On the negative, my wife found a bug and a hair in the bathroom, (seems normal to me), but she also got the impression that the bed was not fresh. Her attitude ruined it for me. But it was our 50th wedding anniversary tour, so I will side with my wife.

Food was excellent farm to table. The walls are paper thin and we heard everything next door. The owner was absolutely superb. We could not ask for a nicer host. Our dog got anxious and chewed one of their pillows. They charged us minimal for it.

The cabin-like room was dark. The electric heater was antiquated and barely adequate. There was a wooden table stored in the clothes closet which this unsuspecting guest hit his head on bending down to put my shoes on the closet floor. The temperature of the shower water was uneven. The overhead light fixture did not permit me to have the light on and the fan off. Finally, we had ants in rhe room I liked the owner. Bree was good around being helpful in ways beyond repair issues. The breakfasts were quite sumptuous although the emphasis was on down home, high cholesterol offerings. I believe Bree and her husband who recently bought this property will over time turn it into an appealing temporary home for travelers.

If you get a room downstairs with a room above you are going to hear every step or movement above you. That’s due to the age of the structure itself, nothing the owner can do about it. Other than that it was a great place to stay and the staff went above and beyond to assist in any way and provided great information about the area and activities.

The owner was very accomodating ,moving us to a downstairs room as soon as one was available.I didn't realize that I had booked an upstairs room. I would definitely book into this place again. It had a very casual, laid-back vibe. Breanna made you feel like you were at home. Barbara Mayes

Great homey feel. The breakfast was delicious. Minutes from Waynesville and 15 minutes from Maggie Valley. I will go back to Grandview Lodge when staying in the area again

Great place to stay when you want to visit Great Smokey Mountains. There is something to see, everywhere you look. Breakfast is made fresh and comes with nice stories from the owner.

Staff was wonderful, location is not a great area. The view is of local homes in need of repair. Room was not as clean as I would expect for the price and being a B&B.. Dust and crud caked in some areas of the bathroom.. Staff was great, but would not stay here again.

Great homey feel. The breakfast was delicious. Minutes from Waynesville and 15 minutes from Maggie Valley. I will go back to Grandview Lodge when staying in the area again

The hot water never got above luke warm so no hot bath. There was no ice. There was no coffee before 8:30. There was supposed to be breakfast included, however, there was no sign of activity in the dining room when we left at 9:00am. The linens were worn out.

The rooms are quaint - nothing fancy. I like the family atmosphere and the folks who operate it. The home made breakfast is why you want to book a room here. Next visit we’ll stay two nights.

The lodge is rustic and filled with rocks, gems, amethyst and great energy. The owner is very personable and eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. He made us a vegan breakfast after learning of our vegan diet. The floors are creaky particularly the upstairs rooms but comfortable with other amenities like coffee and tea all night. We enjoyed our stay and will come back.

Historic property with aged facilities which adds to the character. Comfortable and unique, with access to the lobby after reception closed. The highlight was the amazing breakfast that is included. Truly delicious and worth the visit. Recommend.

I had the best sleep in this place !! The bed was so comfortable and everything was clean, The shower very much needs updating but other than that I was comfortable ! Also they need to be giving everyone the WiFi password ! I had horrible reception while I was there !

We arrived and checked in properly, that’s where the positives end for this property. Upon the property manager showing us our room she had a sticky note on the thermostat which stated “do not change “ in bold letters. The temperature in our 2nd floor room was 79, not hateful but it escalated to 83 by 6 pm. I then sent a message to the manager indicating our frustration and wanted immediate attention. She provided 2 options, a fan or installation of a window unit. She continually indicated the room would cool down overnight, for the amount they charge this isn’t an option for Mother Nature to cool down our room. I sent her another message indicating our frustration and felt as if she was dishonest about the operation of the air conditioner from the very beginning upon her response was nothing in return. I would never spend another hard earned dollar with this establishment, it’s frustrating as we want to support local businesses yet they make it a challenge. I must also admit the towels had a mildew smell coupled with no light above the shower in a very dark restroom. Needless to say beware of this property.

A warm old farm house filled with antiques. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. Other than needing a little spring cleanimg the facility is charming, warm, and cozy.
