Ididn't know this was a B and B! A delicious breakfast was brought to our room! The atmosphere was wonderful in the courtyard.The owner gave us all a box of smores fixings and there were several fire pits. The toiletries were luxe, loved the live music and the whole place looked like a botanical garden!

Fabulous place to stay! Easy walk to most anything in town. Comfortable room. Whatever u need, Brant will get for you. The check in is up some stone steps, beware and be careful if u are uneasy on your feet. Had a lovely last evening in the gardens with music, wine (that we brought ourselves) and smores!!

Brant was very accommodating telling us what to see and where it was as this was our first visit to Hermann. Very clean room. Park along street in front of entrance door. Nice amenities in the room. I highly recommend this property.

I love love love the outdoor area on the property. They have it lit up, decorated, and bunnies everywhere. Smores in the evening. The set up is beautiful! The room's are very nice! Will definitely come back.

I booked it initially because Hotels.com said it was pet-friendly, but I discovered after making the non-refundable reservation that I did not book the type of room that allowed for pets. The owner, Brant, was wonderful. The accommodations were good. The room was clean. Bed was a bit on the firm side. The standard king room is not designed for relaxation. The highlight was the live music on Friday & Saturday night in the courtyard. Make sure you check with the property to see if breakfast is included with your room type. They deliver bottles of water daily with a fresh baked cookie. Overall, I would recommend this property.

Loved my stay here…Brant was very helpful with information on the area since it was our first visit. Very clean room and comfortable bed and pillows! Close walk to all of downtown shopping and restaurants. Piano bar is right across the street, but loved the live music in the garden area…the rabbit even enjoyed the music…lol…found out he feeds the rabbit graham crackers so they stick around. Beautiful property and town! Will definitely be back

A great place to stay! Very clean and comfortable room with nice fixtures, bathroom very nice, lovely color scheme, love… loved the mattress and pillows. Slept great! Breakfast delivered to your door at 8:30 sharp! Super cozy and enjoyable stay. Absolutely loved the beautiful raised courtyard at the main house…manicured landscaping, all lit up with fire pits burning, live acoustic entertainment for their guests to enjoy. Owner personally prepared s’mores boxes that had all the fixings ready for toasting. Highly recommend a stay here!

It was conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Parking was great. Inside the room was clean and nice. However, the chairs were not comfortable and very cheap. There was not a lot of space to place clothes and belongings. The room would benefit by having some sort of dresser or chest to correct the issue. The bathroom was very nice, and the shower was fantastic. It was very quiet and peaceful which was great.

We were met by the owner immediately- even texted us asking about our ETA to be ready for us. Was ver knowledgeable of the area, and put customer comfort first. Really commend this business on everything they are trying to do. This business has topped anything I have seen before in just terms of effort and dedication to improve.

We had an amazing experience! From check-in, the owner gave us a rundown of town with recommendations for things to do. Our room and entire stay were phenomenal. After a day of exploring, we returned to live music, bonfires with s’mores & crazy blankets and an overall great end to the night. Delicious breakfast was delivered to our door the next morning. We were overly impressed with the property, specifically the focus on providing excellent service at every turn. We will return!

I enjoyed a wonderful stay here in the heart of Hermann. It's a very short walk to various restaurants and shops. The inn has an expansive patio/garden area with special treats and music for guests. Brant was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave great tips for where to visit. Also a very dog-friendly place. Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous place to stay! Easy walk to most anything in town. Comfortable room. Whatever u need, Brant will get for you. The check in is up some stone steps, beware and be careful if u are uneasy on your feet. Had a lovely last evening in the gardens with music, wine (that we brought ourselves) and smores!!

Loved my stay here…Brant was very helpful with information on the area since it was our first visit. Very clean room and comfortable bed and pillows! Close walk to all of downtown shopping and restaurants. Piano bar is right across the street, but loved the live music in the garden area…the rabbit even enjoyed the music…lol…found out he feeds the rabbit graham crackers so they stick around. Beautiful property and town! Will definitely be back

Love the historic outside of the buildings and the modern inside! Brandt is knowledgeable about the area and helpful in suggestions for places to eat & things to do. We were unaware that breakfast is a weekend only thing. The properties are spread out but within walking distance.

This hotel was perfectly nestled near the downtown area which allowed walking to restaurants, wineries and breweries. The room was completely updated with high end finishing including luxurious bedding. The breakfast (which was delivered to the room) was delicious. Finally, the staff was welcoming and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this as a destination in MO wine country!

Such a fun stay overall! If breakfast is included, it’s delivered right to your door. They even drop off little bottles of water while you're out, which is a nice touch. Most things are within easy walking distance, and the trolley is just a 5-minute walk away. It can take you pretty much anywhere. Bonus: live music on weekend nights!

I enjoyed a wonderful stay here in the heart of Hermann. It's a very short walk to various restaurants and shops. The inn has an expansive patio/garden area with special treats and music for guests. Brant was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave great tips for where to visit. Also a very dog-friendly place. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our first stay in Hermann, and we will definitely be back and will book the Captain Wohlt again without hesitation. Centrally located, clean, quiet, very nicely furnished rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This was the first bed and breakfast my wife and I stayed at and it could not have been better. Breakfast was served every morning st the door and was beyond anything we could have asked for. The room was spacious enough for my wife and I with all of the amenities we could ever want. The owner met with us on day one to let us know about all of the local hot spots and even provided everything to make s’more just outside of the building we were staying at. Our stay was amazing and we will highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an amazing place to stay with an amazing staff.

We enjoyed our stay and check in was quick and easy. The accommodations were clean comfortable and we enjoyed the s’mores 🥰. He also delivered breakfast to our room which was great because it allowed us to sleep in and made the morning so much more relaxing ☺️

Very clean and updated. It worked well for our 1 night visit. The mini split kept the room nice and cool! Check in Cookies were fresh and yummy. They had s’mores on the patio in the evening and have suggestions for winery tours. I did not check the fine print, breakfast was NOT included with our standard room. It was an option for $15 per person. This was a 2024 update.

A great place to stay! Very clean and comfortable room with nice fixtures, bathroom very nice, lovely color scheme, love… loved the mattress and pillows. Slept great! Breakfast delivered to your door at 8:30 sharp! Super cozy and enjoyable stay. Absolutely loved the beautiful raised courtyard at the main house…manicured landscaping, all lit up with fire pits burning, live acoustic entertainment for their guests to enjoy. Owner personally prepared s’mores boxes that had all the fixings ready for toasting. Highly recommend a stay here!

This hotel was perfectly nestled near the downtown area which allowed walking to restaurants, wineries and breweries. Wasn’t aware of multiple buildings, had to walk to the entertainment up steep stairs ( could be a challenge for elderly). Did not know that breakfast was not included. We received a message asking if we had any dietary restrictions, when we arrived we asked what was for breakfast (were told quiche), we were told food would be outside our room at 8:30 am. At 8:33 they messaged asking if we wanted breakfast, I said we did, if it was included, they said it wasn’t….. $—pp. Had we known this, we would have eaten earlier. We did walk from Market street ( where our b&b was) to 3rd st for the music, fire pit and s’mores. Which is a nice touch. Rooms were clean, morning sun woke us up bright and early. People were nice, just not clear on breakfast price until I asked. I received a message about extra add ons, chocolate covered strawberries, bbq dinner, bucket of ice, ….

This was a lovely stay in Hermann, Mo. We had our dog and the desk clerk / manager was not aware that we would be bringing him. The desk person was gracious and arranged for a dog friendly room without any hint of it being a problem. He even fed some little rabbits so we could have a cute overload. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. I would stay here again .

The property was easy to find and the room I stayed in was very clean, very comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities you could want. I was very impressed and would stay here again. As an extra bonus, they personally provided a large warm cookie at the end of the day on my door to make it an even better experience.

The room was great; the bed was SO comfy; the outdoor space was incredible! If you like to watch birds -- especially hummingbirds, stay here while in Hermann. It is close to everything (I did not have a car, since I took the train), and the garden area is a completely shaded respite. I watched squirrels play, saw rabbits eating the lush grass, and spotted and heard birds I have never seen before!

Husband & I spent 2 nights at Captain Wohlt for our Anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised with the upgrade that was given to us upon arrival. The accommodation was perfect and very nicely renovated. We enjoyed the live music on their beautiful outside patio area on Friday night along with the fresh cookies in our room each day. Great location and close to everything. Will definitely be back!!
