So... we were told that the hotel was still being worked on but man oh man, buyer beware. It's a great location on the main drag and near the rim of the lake. However, when we pulled up after a long drive we were worried since there was construction debris scattered everywhere including the parking lot. It took us 15 minutes to actually get into the room since none of the door codes would work. It took a direct call to get the door fully unlocked and reset for us to get in. Once we were in, we discovered that the bathroom door wouldn't close (like at all). Reason being, whoever installed the door didn't measure correctly (or didn't care) and so the door was 1/4" too wide for the frame. We're married and love each other but it's nice to keep bodily functions private. Also the amenities were still getting installed so things like the ice machine were nowhere to be found. The sliding glass doors to the courtyard don't lock other than a flimsy barring bar that was held on by a zip tie. Also, with only one set of curtains across the glass doors, there's a good chance that any neighbors walking by can see into the room. Since the bed is only three feet away, another set of curtains or shades would be nice to keep private things, private. On the plus side, the bed was new and nice. The mini fridge was good sized and had an actual freezer. A mini microwave or toaster oven would be a welcome addition. In short, there's a lot of potential but the execution (so far) is lacking.

They seem to be in the middle of a renovation, so I’ll try to be fair here. The contactless idea is fine if the process is communicated and setup correctly. I looked everywhere for the office. When I tried to go in, I found it was a construction zone. Someone came from working on the grounds outside and found a paper for me to fill out in order to sign in. Fortunately, I was sent our room code. The instructions were simple enough and the room was recently renovated. The layout and decor were clean and welcoming. A few notes: The front door did not fit the jam, so while it did lock, the door looked like it was always open. The bedside lamps on the wall were not connected to the switch at the base and did not work. The largest issue was the shower drain. It drains very slowly and the edge of the shower is extremely shallow, so unless you want to flood the floor, you can only run the shower for a couple of minutes. I responded to their welcome text saying they were available for any issues, but I didn’t get a response to the shower problem. With a little work, it could be a nice little spot!

Room was cute and the property is a work in progress 75% complete. Lobby is a construction zone as is about 10 of the rooms with work being done and staff hanging around at 9pm. It should be listed as construction during renovation.
