Nice place, good breakfast, nice room. Only drawback with an old property: no lift, and the window/curtains were in need of repair. But it didn't bother us.

Charming, comfortable, clean hotel with lovely woodwork and friendly, helpful staff. Convenient to Kew Gardens. Fine restaurant in hotel. There is no elevator, so bags need to be carried up stairs.

Great location for the rugby. Rooms were clean, tidy, and warm and bathrooms had decent showers and hot water. The bar and restaurant are great and very reasonable priced. Will be using again Thanks

There is NO lift at this hotel. It’s a 3 story hotel but it’s two flights between each floor. I was on the top floor so I had to take a part my luggage and take it arm load by armload up 6 flights plus two mini flight by myself. I’m 55 years old. I asked for help and was told they don’t do that. There was no air conditioning, which may have been noted on their website, so I had to keep the tiny windows open. And the hotel is directly into the landing and take off pattern for Heathrow. The young lady who worked at night had to spend over a half hour with me helping to figure out how to open an account with whatever the company is to provides the works slowest WiFi service. I am grateful to her for the help. And she bought me a drink afterwards. There is no Kew gardens WiFi. The location is fantastic for visiting Kew Gardens and it’s a few blocks from the station. But I am still reeling over the fact that it took me around 5 trips to carry all my personal effects to the room. And the lady working the desk and the bartender in the pub just sat there watching me! Unless you’re on the first floor (which remember is still two flights up) or are young enough to walk up and down that baby stairs don’t stay here. They do have a phone in the room but there’s no office/lobby/pub number so I had to walk all the way down to get help with the WiFi. It was really appalling to me.

The en-suite Silicone around the shower was mouldy, there was no proper exraction fan in there and the aircon unit in the bedroom was freestanding talking up a large proportion of the room and was extremely noisy during use. Everyone on staff is sweet and smiley! Very accommodating and welcoming. The breakfasts are cooked in the pub kitchen upon ordering, not continental-style. They make espresso drinks too! The room was quiet and cozy. I will return.

This is an old fashioned hotel atop a restaurant. It’s nothing fancy but if Kew Gardens is on your list and you have limited time it might be a good choice. Staff was super nice. Be aware that there is no elevator.

After one dreadful night, we checked out and moved to The Premier Inn. There was damp in one of our rooms. The air conditioning unit was held together with sellotape and pumped hot air into the room making it unbearable to sleep at 33 degrees. I was offered a fan, bur as there were no electrical outlets, that was a ridiculous solution. The stair carpets were threadbare. The decor shabby. One room at the front of the building had double doors to a small balcony that could not accommodate the portable air conditioner and banged open and shut all night. It was the dreadful.

Lovely hotel convenient to National Archives and Kew Gardens, good food in restaurant and good places to eat nearby. Rooms small but clean, nice mattress (a rarity in UK hotels that are not incredibly expense).

Pretty poor - dirty, badly maintained. The weekend staff were classically lacking in much sense of customer service. Although the manager I met on Monday morning was great. I realize this is a "budget" place but you can offer budget and still be clean and pleasant!

It was a lovely, clean room with a few charming period pieces (the desk was even a modified old Singer table sewing machine) and all the necessary comforts. I appreciated that the windows opened a bit, the curtains were blackout, and there were plenty of pillows. There location cannot be beat - easy walk to the train station, conveniences, and Kew Gardens.

Our stay was nice but there was a large cobweb in our bathroom, the decor needs some attention. The staff were extremely helpful and nice, food was nice just a bit cool .

The room was dirty. Cracked cups. Windows old and rotten and couldn’t close. One window cracked. Hole in the bathroom door. Foreign objects in the bed so I slept on the towels. No air conditioning only a noisy fan. Plastic hose on that was broken. Curtains ripped and wouldn’t close properly. Coffee and tea offered in keep warm jugs at breakfast . No decaf. Plastic glasses for juice. I couldn’t order egg on toast I had to have salmon egg and toast. I had to ask for hot water to make my own decaf tea. I will not stay again. I was expecting more for a superior room and £160. Plus 12 pounds for the salmon breakfast

Not bad for a london hotel but it is just rooms above a pub. A nice place to stay if you are visiting Kew Gardens. However, the room we stayed in had a single glazed window with very poor seals. So the room was cold alll night and the wind whistled through the window and rattled it. In addition the bed was incredibly hard (not just a firm mattress) and the sink in the bathroom was leaking. Look, it was fine: clean and reasonably priced and did us for a night but sometimes i think you wouldn't get away with this stuff outside London.

Comfortable bed, spacious room, the room was cool and drafty as they had a humidifier in the room which had gaps as it reached outside the room via the window which was odd. Staff are very nice, food was hot and tasty in the bar/ restaurant.

The room was different from the picture shown on reservation. Smaller and ordinary. The place is noisy as many airplanes pass by to get to HTR and you can hear easily your neighbours throught the wall. The staff was very nice.

Kew gardens hotel was easy to check into. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bar/diner on the ground floor was easy going with good food. We really liked our stay here.

On arrival at the hotel we received a less than welcoming welcome. The receptionist asked us to wait before letting us get to the reception and was gone for a good while. We were told our room would be on the third floor. No lift available. We climbed to the attic room via a last staircase which was dangerous as the stair treads are shaped from wide to nearly nothing. We are a couple aged 82 and 84. The receptionist was quite impolite and referred to us as "old people".

Everyone on staff is sweet and smiley! Very accommodating and welcoming. The breakfasts are cooked in the pub kitchen upon ordering, not continental-style. They make espresso drinks too! The room was quiet and cozy. I will return.

This is an old fashioned hotel atop a restaurant. It’s nothing fancy but if Kew Gardens is on your list and you have limited time it might be a good choice. Staff was super nice. Be aware that there is no elevator.

Very disappointed with one of the rooms I booked! Very small, poorly decorated. Small Shower with nowhere to put toiletries etc. Staff not particularly helpful. No one on Reception!

You’re a stones throw from Kew Gardens Station and half that to Kew gardens itself. Nice Room, great staff, it’s a Pub hotel with bar and good food.

It was the perfect base from which to explore Kew and visit Kew Gardens. It is only a few minutes walk to the train and underground station which offers easy access to and from London. The staff are all lovely and really helpful. I couldn't ask for more! Thank you

The hotel was lovely and the food at the pub was fantastic. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. To note - expedia does not charge you at time of booking and you need to pay on arrival so just a little hiccup there. The location is lovely though no elevators so if you have mobility issues a consideration. Additionally all of kew is on a heathrow flight path so it's a bit noisy, but does die down at night thankfully. Kew neighbourhood is wonderful and a nice step away from the stress of london - a wonderful place to commute from if you're leaving out of heathrow the following day.

It’s okay, nothing lavish about the place but it’s ideally positioned a couple of hundred yards from the train station and about quarter of a mile from Kew Gardens. So if you’re attending something late at Kew and travelling in by train it’s a perfect place to stay the night

Comfortable bed, spacious room, the room was cool and drafty as they had a humidifier in the room which had gaps as it reached outside the room via the window which was odd. Staff are very nice, food was hot and tasty in the bar/ restaurant.

Lovely hotel convenient to National Archives and Kew Gardens, good food in restaurant and good places to eat nearby. Rooms small but clean, nice mattress (a rarity in UK hotels that are not incredibly expense).

Really enjoyed it. The bar and burger were lovely and the service was exceptional. The room was lovely and I slept like a baby which is not normal for me. Nice location and really nice place.

Great location for the rugby. Rooms were clean, tidy, and warm and bathrooms had decent showers and hot water. The bar and restaurant are great and very reasonable priced. Will be using again Thanks

Brief stay to visit the garden and nearby family. It was a great location for the garden and there is a small shopping area just down the street with food, coffee, and some stores (all near the tube station). It is further to Richmond's center and we took an uber (train would have worked, too). Staff were friendly and we had a great lunch in the restaurant. The room was definitely showing some wear. It didn't come across as dirty, but perhaps time for a little refresh and touch-up. The free wifi is actually the town's public wifi from what we can tell. It worked, mostly. Certainly not the fastest and you have to register (though it is free). The sheets did have a heavy fragrance (assuming from the detergent?) that was a little irritating to our sinuses. If you have bad allergies, I could see it being an issue.

Very friendly helpful staff. We had breakfast and it was excellent, served by a cheerful member of staff. We were allowed to store our luggage at the hotel after checkout time while we walked around.

Hotel was nice, staff made it excellent! Everyone so friendly and courteous. The area is really a fantastic little village area and it was so pleasant to walk around, even at night by myself. Felt completely safe. Also super close to Kew Gardens so makes it convenient. Food was delicious, didn't try any drinks.

**Leider nicht den Preis wert** Meiner Meinung nach ist das Kew Gardens Hotel den Preis leider nicht wert. Die Zimmer wirken stellenweise sehr abgenutzt und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein, der Toilettenpapierhalter kam mir direkt entgegen und insgesamt wirkte es etwas muffig. Auch die Dusche war unpraktisch – mit der vorhandenen Duscharmatur war es kaum möglich zu duschen, ohne sich gleichzeitig die Haare zu waschen. Am schlimmsten war für mich allerdings die fehlende Klimaanlage. Ich hatte ein Zimmer unter dem Dach, bei dem sich das Fenster aus Sicherheitsgründen nur wenige Zentimeter öffnen ließ. Gleichzeitig gab es keine Klimaanlage, um das Zimmer ausreichend zu kühlen. Dadurch war es dort unerträglich heiß. Gerade in den oberen Stockwerken sollte dringend über eine Klimaanlage nachgedacht werden – zumindest dort wäre sie meiner Meinung nach absolut notwendig. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich das freundliche Personal. Das Pub im Erdgeschoss ist ebenfalls schön gestaltet, und man bekommt von dort in den Zimmern glücklicherweise nichts mit. Das Essen kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich während meines Aufenthalts nicht dort gegessen habe. Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel aufgrund des Zustands der Zimmer und insbesondere der fehlenden Klimaanlage zu diesem Preis nicht noch einmal buchen.

I know check in wasn’t until 2pm but it said reception was open from 10am. We arrived at 11am wanting to drop our cases off but no one was there. We went away for an hour and had a coffee and tried ringing the hotel but no one answered. We returned at 12.00 when the pub opened This time we were met with someone and left our luggage. We came back about 5pm and checked in. Our room was on the top floor(4 flights) and I had to carry 2 heavy suitcases up 4 flights of narrow stairs as there was no lift. This was not mentioned in the hotel description. First impressions were not good. The room was dated and run down. We just dropped our bags in the room and went for something to eat before returning later that evening. Then we saw the full extent of the room. The pictures on your site showed a nice bed with headboard and curtains at the window. We had no head board, the were dirty greasy marks in the wall above the pillows. The was a portable air conditioning unit at he bottom of the bed restricting access with ducting going out the window. One side of the bed didn’t have a bedside light. The bedside light the other side didn’t work. In the shower room The toilet roll holder was coming off the wall. The light above the mirror was hanging by a wire and in a shower room was dangerous. Where I think it was suppose to be secured to the mirror shards of glass had come away and were shards in the basin. The shower head was loose and the shower looked like it needed a good clean.
