Nice resort. Food on buffett was not very impressed. Thought the pools were heated but they were freezing cold. Last night got food poisoning. Overall was ok and chilled. Recommend for family holidays. Kids enjoyed it. The amenities need alot of TLC they very old and outdated. The gym area was absolute terrible old and non function equipment. Did not use the wellness as you have to pay extra and after seeing the gym I did not bother. Overall ok only there for bit of fun and sunshine but defined disappointed with food and amenities. Staff were nice and welcoming. The food poisoning at end ruined the trip but ok.

Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations. While the complex is large and has plenty of pools, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, the room wasn't very clean, and I was shocked to find hair on the fresh bedsheets, which is completely unacceptable. We also noticed there were no slippers provided in the room, which added to the lack of comfort.

No repetiremos. Estuvimos muy incómodos por la limpieza, en especial por los bichos (hormigas). Muy deficitaria la limpieza de la habitación (ni un solo día barrieron ni limpiaron espacios de cocinar que no platos) desagradable también en externo con multitud de suciedad en jardines (gatos…) pero sobre todo el club de niños con más hormigas y descuidado. Es una pena porque el entorno y el modelo para familias es muy acertado.

Hôtel très agréable, on n'a pas le sentiment d'un hôtel immense car c'est très bien agencé. Il y a une piscine par quartier, ce qui donne le sentiment d'être dans un petit complexe. L'hôtel est très propre avec le ménage et le changement de serviettes faits tous les jours. Les repas sont très variés et très bons. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Le personnel est aux petits soins que ce soit dans les restaurants ou à l'accueil ou les animateurs ou les hommes et femmes d'entretien. Un accueil bienveillant et des personnes heureuses de rendre service. Un plaisir d'avoir séjourné dans cet hôtel que nous recommandons et qui donne envie de revenir.

Staff at the hotel are great very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but I did find a couple of long hairs on the bed but other than that it was spotless. There is plenty to do at the hotel with entertainment and wellness centre and bike hire. Amenities in the room are quite good but you need to hire iron from the reception for 10€ deposit. Same with pool towels. The only let down is the area around the hotel. It looks like wasteland in places and smells of sewage but luckily you can't smell it in the hotel. It's a nice hotel especially for the price. If I ever do come back to Lanzarote which I probably won't I would definitely stay here again.

Yo le enseñe la confirmacion y el pago realizado y ni asi... Property is great but service is very poor. Food Service staff were great. However, our room was not cleaned for the duration of our stay. After we repeatedly called for cleaning, someone came and just changed the sheets one day. Floors, bathroom, kitchen bin nothing was cleaned. Very poor service.

Booked for a few days and was definitely value for money had a spacious apartment for 3 adults ideal. We were on ground floor so had a terrace with table and chairs which was ideal sitting in the sun having breakfast lunch and a refreshing drink. Very good resort with kind staff and a wide range of amenities, including a grocery shop open late and several restaurants. The town is also accessible with a 10-minute walk. In my case, it was ideal for hiking during the day and enjoying a comfortable rest by the pool at the end of the day. Even though the resort provides a large range of shuttle services, renting a car is recommended as the resort is located on the far south of the island. One area of improvement could be the Wi-Fi, which is quite unstable for those needing it for professional purposes. Also, the area can be somewhat noisy, especially for rooms near the tropical dome. It’s not a major issue, but for those who need a perfectly quiet environment to sleep, it’s something to consider. A big resort with lots of facilities, well-designed apartments but not our first stay here and standards have gone down. It took over 2 days, many phone calls and visit to reception to get Wi-Fi fixed - very inconvenient and staff were not proactive in fixing the problem or testing it out, nor always friendly. They assumed that no complaint meant everything was sorted. Also no cleaning products provided for the kitchen - no sponge, washing up liquid, tea towels, kitchen roll or wiping cloths - they don't make it easy to keep the place clean! Also very minimal utensils, pans etc. Lastly, the cheek of them trying to charge EUR 40 when asked if could check out 1 hour later, even though hotel was quiet and the room was available. Not recommended if planning to cook or use the WiFi.

When you are initially booking this property don’t be fooled by the pictures of the apartment interior. and apparent 4star rating. The apartment was very old, and definitely in need of some urgent TLC and a bigger TV - nothing like the pictures. The shower screen is a health and safety hazard along with the furniture and the toilet had a slow leak which had a foul odour coming up throughout our stay. I tried to have us moved straight away but sadly being the Easter bank holiday, there was no availability! I would have been much happier to pay extra just to get out of there. But the kids were so tired that in the end we decided to just get on with it. The exterior of the property and surrounding gardens & swimming pools however are quite lovely and clean. There is enough space and activities for everyone alike to enjoy. Such a shame about the apartment.

The customer service was mediocre, queues were long food was not 4 star standard and not good value for money. The rooms were small with tiny balconies and no sun. The floors were not cleaned and the self catering aspect was difficult to use as very tiny area and tiny table. Not family friendly apartment as adults could not sleep in the converted beds in the living area as only fit for children. This made the living arrangements not very relaxed or easy in the evening times. The cleaning team did not come at regular set times in the morning so it made it difficult to plan your exit and re-entry times. You have to pay a cash deposit for pool towels and then go and hand in the receipt elsewhere and it is a real faf. Not all the polls are heated which is a real shame as the kids could not use some of them particularly the water slides one unless they were in a wetsuit and this took away a lot of the available activities for them. The kids club was pretty basic with coloring and a small soft play- I expected them to get out and play games and do sport to burn off some steam. People seemed to smoke everywhere with little regard for signage saying you could not. It was an okay stay but disappointed with the food and the mediocre service given the prices charged it just wasn’t good enough. We were lucky with the weather and so could get out and about as it was in a decent location to beach and restaurants but if it had not been fine I think we would have really struggled here.

The resort itself is large, full of pools, and good value for money — no complaints there. However, our experience was unfortunately very negative due to a serious breach of security. The hotel uses duplicate door numbers — for example there are two 524s, one in “Island” and one in “Tropical.” At around 2am, our door was jimmied open by a drunk guest with his own key. We woke up to find a stranger in our bathroom using the toilet, while a child ran out of our front door into the night. He was apologetic, but the incident was frightening — someone was able to access our room while we were asleep. When I reported this to reception, the staff member laughed and asked, “What do you want me to do?” She dismissed the issue and suggested nothing could be done to make the door more secure. The maintenance worker arrived, did not speak English, translated “impossible” through our phone, and left. Thankfully, my partner is a carpenter and he personally fixed the dropped door hinges so that we could double-lock the door — meaning the door was only secure because we repaired it ourselves, not because the hotel took responsibility. Given someone was able to enter our room at night with another room key and the hotel showed no concern or willingness to address a clear security flaw, we would not stay here again. Nice hotel physically, but extremely poor safety and guest care.

Séjour très agréable avec une chambre correct mais un peu dans son jus. L'hôtel mériterait un rafraichissement. Sinon les activités pour les enfants sont nombreuses, donc parfait en famille. We had a good stay at the Tropical island - however very basic. The start with, the hotel is incredibly clean and the cleaners do a fantastic job daily. The facilities (incl. pools, activities, splash park etc) were great for the kids. However, the food at breakfast and evenings was poor - always just luke warm and not of great quality. The other restaurants out with the buffet were not open during our stay which we were not informed. We stayed in February which is considered a quiet time for them and the queue for check-in took ages to get through. There were also a number of things (access keys/towels/poolside drinks) that we required cash for and were also not informed of, which was incredibly inconvenient given we do not like to travel with cash. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and the kids enjoyed it but I wouldn’t necessarily return.

Hotels.com/expedia didn’t send my reservation over to the hotel so when I arrived there was no reservation for me. I had to pay again and sort this mess out myself in the middle of the night on arrival with 2 small children. Thankfully the hotel had a room. I then wasted all of the following morning on the phone still trying to sort it out. Absolutely disgusting.

We stayed at THB Tropical Island as a family of 4 for a week. We had booked a Premium Apt with pool view, but received 9ne with a Garden View, not a big issue. Rooms were a bit tired looking and could do with a bit of freshening up, however they were cleaned daily and met the families needs. Great grounds within the complex, plenty of pools but we mainly stayed around the main pool. You will always find a sunbed but will need to go down early to get and umbrella. Some of the songs around the pool wouldnt be family orientated, however if your enjoying yourself, you wouldnt be paying attention to the music. We did self catering but opted to pay on two morningsfor breakfast, €12 per adult, children free, had everything you need. Opt to get a back gate key, cuts 5mins off your time to the beach/town, which is a nice 10min stroll. Overall a good stay.

Lovrly hotel, rooms are a little dated but really clean. The ourside areas are looked after really well. Lovely Christmas decorations around so felt festive. The pools in each area made sure it was never too busy and there were plenty of sunbeds. The adult pool was a bonus and the regular pool is a great size. Less than 20 min walk to the beach there is a free shuttle bus twice a day and a supermarket just where the bus stopsped. Would definitely stay again.

Tropical Island is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are starting to look a little tired but are kept very clean and have everything you need. They really need to get the issue with the back gate sorted. For those with mobility issues it would be a no go if that is not fixed. It adds another 900 metres to the trek back from beach or bars, not easy.

This is my second time visiting this hotel. It has a large territory, good size pools, beach is 15min walk or you can use their shuttle bus which leaves twice daily. Rooms were cleaned regularly. My favourite part tho, was the food. It was tasty and every night had a different theme.

There were also a number of things (access keys/towels/poolside drinks) that we required cash for and were also not informed of, which was incredibly inconvenient given we do not like to travel with cash. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and the kids enjoyed it but I wouldn’t necessarily return.

Hôtel très agréable, on n'a pas le sentiment d'un hôtel immense car c'est très bien agencé. Il y a une piscine par quartier, ce qui donne le sentiment d'être dans un petit complexe. L'hôtel est très propre avec le ménage et le changement de serviettes faits tous les jours. Les repas sont très variés et très bons. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Le personnel est aux petits soins que ce soit dans les restaurants ou à l'accueil ou les animateurs ou les hommes et femmes d'entretien. Un accueil bienveillant et des personnes heureuses de rendre service. Un plaisir d'avoir séjourné dans cet hôtel que nous recommandons et qui donne envie de revenir.

Overall, this is a nice facility. We stayed on all-inclusive and the service was OK. The drinks are basic but there is a good selection of food. Nice choices for breakfast and many good dishes, but I did not particularly like the chicken and pork. Lovely desserts and very good pizza. Our flat was comfortable enough with a nice balcony and a good hot shower with sufficient water pressure. The beds were nice and the curtains thick for a good blackout. A few family members struggled with symphtoms suggesting food poisoning during our stay and other guests did as well but the management refused any connection with the buffet. Funnily, those who took precautions stayed healthy whereas the ones who ate a wider range of dishes got sick. I wanted the hotel to take responsibity for lost vacation time and told them that this could lead to a more favourable review, but their response was that this was "blackmailing". OK! So, a lot of vomiting going around the facility but nothing to do with the buffet then.

Struttura obsoleta e dispersiva. Il cibo era discreto con una buona scelta. Le strutture di ristorazione assolutamente carenti e deprimenti, sembrava di essere all’ospedale e non in un ristorante.

Complex was vast and not as described Everything was everywhere On HB and dining was a free for all Evening was very poor as nobody offered you drinks …very odd .. no waiter service Eating was like a large cafeteria not impressive … food ok not great !! Paid £115 a night …not value for money Look into this place before booking do not trust the pics … do your homework !!

Room was spacious and spotless. Staff came in to change bins and make beds every day. Huge complex with things to do for everyone. As a solo traveller I still enjoyed all the amenities. Breakfast buffet was a large area with lots of great choice. Very impressed overall and will definitely return

The heated pools were bonus, the food was reasonably varied & loads of selection. If your a picky eater or prefer british food advoid, there is choice but probably not enough.
