Game On | 2 Lounges, Ping Pong, Firepit + Hot Tub

Stayed for two nights to attend a family wedding. Check in was very easy and property had all ammenities needed for comfortable stay. Really enjoyed the area and local golf course Wandamere is very nice. Would definitely stay here again and likely bring our dog next time.

Pictures and descriptions are misleading on listing and are not up to date. This property was in need of many repairs and attention. We had a few safety concerns as we had 4 of our grandchildren with us, all under the age of 5. One of which was a very low hanging wire from the house to utility pole. HVAC did not cool upstairs bedrooms making it unbearably hot. Game areas had broken darts and paddles. Hot tub was in terrible shape. the only positive was the proximity to the river day park.

The outdoor amenities are run down and not kept up. The Jacuzzi was dirty. The pool table was moved into the garage which makes sense, however there were no other outdoor games present. There was pet hair everywhere if you aren't allergic, no issues, if you are avoid. There is not enough seating at the table to play board games even a folding chair would've been a nice addition. We selected this place based on previous reviews and we're sorely disappointed! It is okay not great. That being said, we had a great time visiting our family and we're grateful we had a place to be together.

The home appears beautiful in the listing photos and is reported as clean in reviews. We chose this home 7 months ago for a family event, requiring the exact configuration. The decor is attractive and we were grateful for basic cleaning (bed sheets, 2/3 bathrooms, most of kitchen). Beyond this (inside kitchen drawers, on carpeted surfaces, on walls and windows, in basement shower) the house was filthy and desperately in need of maintenance/repairs. We spent hours scrubbing dishes/pots/pans with food stuck to them, wiping dog slobber off of sliders, fingerprints/food from kitchen surfaces, and dirt from prominent walls. The carpet is absolutely filthy. Even though they voluntarily refunded our cleaning fee (the minimum), we were disturbed by how the ambiguous management team (Smart Host Vacation Rentals) handled the situation. We exchanged messages both through VRBO and on 3 outside numbers. The contact shifted confusingly and was uninformed, so we had to re-explain repeatedly. In our final exchange, the manager (?) asserted we should leave and they would refund remaining nights, implying they knew they couldn't earn a 5 star review. We felt vulnerable/threatened, as we had nowhere to go. They reported 80 open rentals for 8 people. We searched and found zero with our parameters. Our needs were more than 8 pillows, but they didn't ask. We were effectively silenced by a poorly run management team, who throughout our stay, solicited a 5 star review through automated text/email.
