Lovely hotel overlooking the cliffs and beach. Access to the beach is a short walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice. Only a few rooms. We stayed in Biscay, which overlooks the car park. The room itself is spacious, although the lighting needs to be improved - it is very dark during the evening. The bathroom is easy for anyone with access needs. However, the shower is not overly powerful and the sink is tiny - resulting in water splashing onto the floor. The photo's of this room do not do it justice. Having your own door is a nice bonus and there is use of a disabled bay. Note that the car park can become extremely busy - resulting in loss of the space at busier times. The restaurant is excellent and the food is highly rated. However, due to the popularity for diners, there can be a lot of noise late at night. We found some of the guests to be very loud and could hear them eating for taxi's. This dos not bother us, but you may need to consider when booking. The staff are welcoming and friendly and really can not do enough to assist you during your stay. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay at this hotel and will certainly return.

My wife and I stayed over the valentine weekend and also took our dog. The whole venue including the restaurant is dog-friendly and all the staff are very pleasant. As the name suggests the hotel is right on the cliff overlooking the sea. Our room was vey nice and despite being a "dog room" was very clean. We will definitely be returning aging in the future.

Booked as a last minute day away by the sea - glad that we did. A wonderful find with great staff, food and location. The atmosphere was great, boasting live music in a friendly and vibrant setting with fantastic views of the isle of white. Highly recommended, and we will definitely go back.

Although this is a hotel, its more of a restaurant with rooms now. So it was quite noisy and busy in the evenings, with live music on one evening. However the music/bar closes promptly at a reasonable hour so not a huge problem. The staff are lovely and the restaurant food was fabulous. So much so that we ate far too much...It sits on the cliff top and we were able to hear the waves crashing overnight to lull us too sleep, not our first stay and wont be the last.

Lovely location. Beautiful views across to the Isle of Wight and amazing sunset. Live music in the garden Sunday night was an added bonus. Breakfast was great and didn’t need to eat again until the evening! Staff very friendly. Well done Cliff House Hotel. We will be back.

The Cliff House was an excellent resto-pub with rooms. We bagged the last room and although a bit on the small side (which he had been advised in advance), it was well appointed and scrupulously clean. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings had a nautical theme. Food was outstanding and great value. Staff were delightful and most helpful. The beer garden was a bonus too. A great little spot overlooking the Channel.

Fabulous stay - my 4th or 5th at this property, amazing food & that includes the breakfast & stunning views. Parking, especially if you're in a large van etc. can be a wee bit tight sometimes, but the adjoining streets are free & normally not too clogged.

I booked the hotel for a last minute escape to the sea side over bank holiday. Was looking forward for peaceful time. The restaurant and outside area were very busy both nights. It didn't disturb by sleep, so I was ok with this. If you are looking for a quiet escape, check with the hotel about the evening plans. Otherwise everything was great.

Absolutely loved our 2 night stay here, one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. Super friendly staff from the moment we walked in, nothing was too much trouble, they are genuinely invested in making each and every guest feel valued and welcome. We stayed in Portland and it was a delightful room; spotlessly clean with a stunning view of the needles. Nice little freeview tv with all apps available to log into. Food and drinks really good. Try the spicy mango margarita, absolutely bang on ;) thanks to all for making my daughter’s A Level results day so memorable and positive. We will be back for sure.

Rooms are very comfortable, clean and nicely dressed. We found all the staff very helpful from check in to the waiting staff, every time, nothing was a problem. I must say the food is of great quality, breakfast is superb with great ingredients and as for the beef roast 😘tremendous !! Second time we’ve stayed here and will again. Well done team on the service and quality consistently. Highly recommend!!!

Staff are welcomjng and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was warm, comfortable and well appointed. The view from our room would have been stunning had it not been for rain and mist. Views of Isle of Wight and Hurst Castle. . . . Plenty of coffee, tea etc. Shower room was clean and bright, with big soft towels galore. Food in the restaurant was delicious and service great. We have already booked to go back later in the year!

We arrived later than we expected, the restaurant and bar area was busy, but we were immediately recognised as new arrivals, with a smile and friendly welcome. We were immediately shown our room and asked if we were happy with it and if we required anything else. We were provided with information about breakfast and how to access the hotel after hours should we require it. Our room (Wight) was the smallest (our choice) but it was warm, outstandingly clean, as was the en-suite and of a beautiful, contemporary and stylish design. As expected, towels, hairdryer and fan were of an exceptional quality. The bathroom was well stocked with full size, New Forest aromatherapy toiletries. A lovely selection of teas, coffees and bottled spring water were provided in our room. The included choice of breakfast was the best we’ve ever eaten (we opted for the full English). Heather who attended to us on our first day was friendly and helpful, as were the bar staff (who loaned us a corkscrew) and the manager Jordon. I was born and bred in this area, now living in Cornwall and was thrilled to receive such a high standard of hospitality.

Super helpful and friendly staff, cannot fault them. Only one downside was I my room was situated near a noisy exterior ventilation / fan system which prevented from opening the window in the room.

The room inside was ok but lost power in the morning and you could hear the hand dryers from the restaurant until it closed. Outside the room was the issue. The entrance to the Biscay room is right next to and between the bins! If you can overlook this you might not be able to miss the noise when they dump rubbish and bottles every so often. Don’t choose this room.

The property and staff are fantastic,the only thing I’ll do differently next time is change to a rear facing room as the sea view room we had was very noisy but that was obviously down to people enjoying themselves on a Saturday night.Unfortunately we had to leave early Sunday meaning we tried to get an early night but already looking forward to our next visit. Many thanks Gary and Liz

The staff are all lovely - this is the 2nd time I have stayed here as it's close for visiting relations. Rooms are lovely except that you can't really open the windows (in the rooms I've been in) as they open over the roof where the extracted fans are for the kitchen :( Food is excellent - had breakfast & evening meals there. Will definately stay here again!

Absolutely loved our 2 night stay here, one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. Super friendly staff from the moment we walked in, nothing was too much trouble, they are genuinely invested in making each and every guest feel valued and welcome. We stayed in Portland and it was a delightful room; spotlessly clean with a stunning view of the needles. Nice little freeview tv with all apps available to log into. Food and drinks really good. Try the spicy mango margarita, absolutely bang on ;) thanks to all for making my daughter’s A Level results day so memorable and positive. We will be back for sure.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, James was a credit to the business. It was an effortless check inn. Also was sat down to dinner after a quick freshen up. Food was lovely and attentive staff. Thank you very much.

Rooms are very comfortable, clean and nicely dressed. We found all the staff very helpful from check in to the waiting staff, every time, nothing was a problem. I must say the food is of great quality, breakfast is superb with great ingredients and as for the beef roast 😘tremendous !! Second time we’ve stayed here and will again. Well done team on the service and quality consistently. Highly recommend!!!

The Cliff House was a wonderful stay. The staff were all extremely friendly and professional. Very relaxed atmosphere! The food was great and so were the rooms including incredible view. We will definitely return there, we didn’t want to leave!

Staff are welcomjng and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was warm, comfortable and well appointed. The view from our room would have been stunning had it not been for rain and mist. Views of Isle of Wight and Hurst Castle. . . . Plenty of coffee, tea etc. Shower room was clean and bright, with big soft towels galore. Food in the restaurant was delicious and service great. We have already booked to go back later in the year!

We arrived later than we expected, the restaurant and bar area was busy, but we were immediately recognised as new arrivals, with a smile and friendly welcome. We were immediately shown our room and asked if we were happy with it and if we required anything else. We were provided with information about breakfast and how to access the hotel after hours should we require it. Our room (Wight) was the smallest (our choice) but it was warm, outstandingly clean, as was the en-suite and of a beautiful, contemporary and stylish design. As expected, towels, hairdryer and fan were of an exceptional quality. The bathroom was well stocked with full size, New Forest aromatherapy toiletries. A lovely selection of teas, coffees and bottled spring water were provided in our room. The included choice of breakfast was the best we’ve ever eaten (we opted for the full English). Heather who attended to us on our first day was friendly and helpful, as were the bar staff (who loaned us a corkscrew) and the manager Jordon. I was born and bred in this area, now living in Cornwall and was thrilled to receive such a high standard of hospitality.

Lovely hotel overlooking the cliffs and beach. Access to the beach is a short walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice. Only a few rooms. We stayed in Biscay, which overlooks the car park. The room itself is spacious, although the lighting needs to be improved - it is very dark during the evening. The bathroom is easy for anyone with access needs. However, the shower is not overly powerful and the sink is tiny - resulting in water splashing onto the floor. The photo's of this room do not do it justice. Having your own door is a nice bonus and there is use of a disabled bay. Note that the car park can become extremely busy - resulting in loss of the space at busier times. The restaurant is excellent and the food is highly rated. However, due to the popularity for diners, there can be a lot of noise late at night. We found some of the guests to be very loud and could hear them eating for taxi's. This dos not bother us, but you may need to consider when booking. The staff are welcoming and friendly and really can not do enough to assist you during your stay. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay at this hotel and will certainly return.

Lovely location. Beautiful views across to the Isle of Wight and amazing sunset. Live music in the garden Sunday night was an added bonus. Breakfast was great and didn’t need to eat again until the evening! Staff very friendly. Well done Cliff House Hotel. We will be back.

Fantastic 2 nights at Cliff house with incredible sea views from every window lovely decor & comfortable rooms. Restaurant food is delicious & good value with a great attentive staff team. Perfect for walking to Mudeford mostly along beach with our dog.

Absolutely excellent. Clean, friendly, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was overlooking the sea, very clean and comfortable. The staff are so helpful and always very pleasant and certainly look after you. Restaurant food was absolutely delicious and the service wonderful. Even though the resraurant was very busy each night, we never had a long wait for our food. Will certainly look forward to returning .

Two nights in betwixtmas. I was amazed at how busy the place was with downstairs diners and drinkers. The car park was very busy (although there was room for me quite close to the door). The noise from all this barely has any impact once in one's room. I thought the breakfast was good, plentiful and a decent choice. My room was on the small side but a good shower room and comfy bed so the essentials were fine. TV a bit weak but maybe it was because it was blowing a gale outside. Had dinner one evening but that seemed a bit expensive - however given how busy the tables were it clearly isn't an issue locally. Great view on a nice day (it was bleak) and staff efficient.

What a lovely couple of days at the hotel. Rooms very cute, clean and very comfortable. We stayed in room called Wight which had lovely views across to the Needles and having two windows gave us a lovely bright room. We ate at the restaurant, the food was delicious, high quality produce breakfast and dinner Somerset rack of lamb and local fish were top class. The staff were brilliant no matter who you spoke to. We will be back, thank you team.

Fabulous stay - my 4th or 5th at this property, amazing food & that includes the breakfast & stunning views. Parking, especially if you're in a large van etc. can be a wee bit tight sometimes, but the adjoining streets are free & normally not too clogged.

We had a lovely stay at the cliff hotel only one criticism and it’s only a small one. Our room is really small. We had wright room. We did struggle my friend is elderly and he found the steps going up to the bathroom at night confusing Also could there be a rail coming out of the bath because when you have a shower, you have to step at the bath and when you’re elderly like my Friend was he really struggled and a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang the damp towel when you come out of the shower but I must say your Manager and staff were amazing amazing and we met some lovely people that were local in the bar and the guy and the lady that did the music they were excellent. These are just not criticisms. They’re just a little helpful hints. We would definitely stay again but perhaps not in that room, but we did love the hotel and the staff were amazing

Very busy business ( mid summer plus very hot). Beautifully situated with distant view of the Needles. Good breakfasts. Dinner spoiled by a very raucus leaving party.( ??house rules on guest behaviour ). Lovely cliff top walking area. A tad pricey for our liking, but overall a lovely place to stay for a couple of nights.

Surprised there was no check on whether you were staying or eating at the hotel before you could use the car park. When I arrived there were only 2 spaces left in a large parking area so I managed to park, but only just.
