Beautiful Victorian home with floral pastel decor and gracious dining room, complete with real china and flatware, as well as a covered porch with seating. Proprietor and staff very welcoming and responsive. Breakfast consisted of yoghurt, fruit, casserole egg dishes, bread, and coffee/tea/water was available all day. Neighborhood very walkable to downtown Main Street, and near beach and boardwalk, replete with pretty houses and gorgeous gardens. Free on street parking.

Overall a lovely stay at this property. Rooms on cosy/ small side but fine for couple of nights and it was just me. Rooms warm and everything worked. I was on ground floor along from breakfast room which meant it sometimes got quite noisy with other guests coming in and out. There was in issue with door lock when I arrived but this was fixed very quickly, which I appreciated. Breakfast was good although I would suggest perhaps leaving some things for guests to combine to their tastes. On 2 mornings the fruit had yogurts pre poured over which meant I couldn't eat them, perhaps just leave the components for guests to choose how to serve. Tea and coffee available all day which was great and no issues parking outside property (although I was there in low season). Used the free bikes one day, nice to have, but would suggest they might need a little maintenance on the breaks! All in all a lovely stay and would have no hesitation in staying again.

Plenty of bikes to use as well as beach towels, straw hats, sunglasses and beach bags in the shed. The owners/ staff are kind and attentive. Great beach location with plenty of parking. It is meticulously clean which is important to me. The breakfast is served with real china and silverware. Everything is perfect. Ive stayed at their sister hotel, Ocean Plaza which is also excellent.

This place is adorable. It was gutted a couple of years ago so everything is brand new. It's a block from the boardwalk/beach and in a scenic little town a half mile from the activities of Asbury Park. The breakfast in the courtyard was outstanding.

We booked this last minute as a better option than our originally planned Sea.Hear.Now hotel in Wall Twp, so we could just park and walk. We arrived early enough on the day before that we were able to get parking in front and left the car for the weekend. Cathy and Nancy were there to greet us and give us all the info we needed. We were in Room 19 on the top floor. I was a little nervous about booking as it is an older building and I usually like to know I can get out easily - well, the door opens right to the door to the stairs that take you down the outside of the house. The entire place is clean and the breakfast and coffee are wonderful. Cathy did let us know that she will be leaving in a few weeks to move out of state but that she is leaving the b&b in capable hands! The room itself was very very small but since we didn't spend much time in it, it was fine for us. The third floor rooms do require lots of stair climbing, so be prepared for that if you book one. From the bed in Room 19, if you open your curtains you can see the waves on the beach. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the shower was great. My only wish would be for more shelving in the bathroom for toiletries -- we had to mostly leave them out in the room and bring them in as needed. The walk to Asbury Park is not short but it's pleasant and doable. Ubers are quick if you prefer to go that route. We walked everywhere. Would definitely recommend this B&B!

Love the church-camp feel, in particular around the Great Auditorium and the tabernacle and at the pavilion on the Boardwalk. The continuous Boardwalk from town to town is phenomenal! I've stayed at The Carriage House for many years and am happy that the new owners are maintaining its excellence. Breakfast was delicious and everyone was exceedingly friendly -- so homey! Very much appreciated the use of bikes, chairs, beach towels -- nice not to have to bring our own. Will definitely be back!

Oh Carriage House how do I love thee? one of the nicest places I have ever stayed anywhere! It cost more to stay there than I usually pay but worth every penny. Luca is a wonderful host always helpful. the house is super clean and cozy. The staff were wonderful. coffee's good!! We did not take advantage of the breakfast . The room was small but very cozy with a great view and private balcony. Exceptionally clean. So close to the beach and Ocean Grove restaurants . 5 min drive to Asbury Park for many more options.

The staff was superb and responsive to all requests. Breakfast was tasty with the selection of fruit, yogurt, granola, various types of bread, turnovers and multiple different egg dishes. Coffee and tea were available 24 hours a day. The room was a third floor walk up, which could be a problem for some, but was not for me. The building was close to the beach and the downtown area.

The property is located one block from the boardwalk in Ocean Grove. We chose to go off season because the area is so peaceful then. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. Our only complaint is over the polyester linens on the bed. They were very hot, even with the windows open in early April. That being said we would definitely go back there again.

One of the beds was on wheels, it rolled all the time. The lamp and nightstand shakes and rattled every time you moved. The bathroom was big enough, but could have used some of that space in the room. Breakfast was great and so was the location.

Very comfortable and awesome breakfast. The staff were very attentive to all our needs and Cathy greeted us upon arrival…I went for some rest and relaxation after my cancer journey and hearing this she upgraded us to a balcony room where I could sit outside and rest and listen to the ocean…Short distance is the beautiful Ocean Grove boardwalk and pier. Took a nice walk on the boardwalk into Asbury Park….short walk into town where there are shops and food. The bed and room were comfortable and decorated so warmly. Gina served an awesome home cooked breakfast! Must stay in this old Victorian town in this beautiful Victorian house.

The staff were very attentive to all our needs and Cathy greeted us upon arrival…I went for some rest and relaxation after my cancer journey and hearing this she upgraded us to a balcony room where I could sit outside and rest and listen to the ocean…Short distance is the beautiful Ocean Grove boardwalk and pier. Took a nice walk on the boardwalk into Asbury Park….short walk into town where there are shops and food. The bed and room were comfortable and decorated so warmly. Gina served an awesome home cooked breakfast! Must stay in this old Victorian town in this beautiful Victorian house.

The Carriage House was great. We were nervous at first because of the lengthy list of rules so prominently listed in every communication, which made me think that maybe the owners might be a bit on the grumpier side. Fortunately, they were delightful and Viktoria even went the extra mile to create wonderful vegan breakfasts for us each morning!

Overall a lovely stay at this property. Rooms on cosy/ small side but fine for couple of nights and it was just me. Rooms warm and everything worked. I was on ground floor along from breakfast room which meant it sometimes got quite noisy with other guests coming in and out. There was in issue with door lock when I arrived but this was fixed very quickly, which I appreciated. Breakfast was good although I would suggest perhaps leaving some things for guests to combine to their tastes. On 2 mornings the fruit had yogurts pre poured over which meant I couldn't eat them, perhaps just leave the components for guests to choose how to serve. Tea and coffee available all day which was great and no issues parking outside property (although I was there in low season). Used the free bikes one day, nice to have, but would suggest they might need a little maintenance on the breaks! All in all a lovely stay and would have no hesitation in staying again.

Plenty of bikes to use as well as beach towels, straw hats, sunglasses and beach bags in the shed. The owners/ staff are kind and attentive. Great beach location with plenty of parking. It is meticulously clean which is important to me. The breakfast is served with real china and silverware. Everything is perfect. Ive stayed at their sister hotel, Ocean Plaza which is also excellent.

Proprietor and staff very welcoming and responsive. Breakfast consisted of yoghurt, fruit, casserole egg dishes, bread, and coffee/tea/water was available all day. Neighborhood very walkable to downtown Main Street, and near beach and boardwalk, replete with pretty houses and gorgeous gardens. Free on street parking.

We had a wonderful stay. The manager was great. Breakfast was terrific. The room was cozy and clean. Very close to the beach. Will definitely start again. We love to come down just for the sunrise. It was so nice to have a comfy place to spend the night!

We booked this last minute as a better option than our originally planned Sea.Hear.Now hotel in Wall Twp, so we could just park and walk. We arrived early enough on the day before that we were able to get parking in front and left the car for the weekend. Cathy and Nancy were there to greet us and give us all the info we needed. We were in Room 19 on the top floor. I was a little nervous about booking as it is an older building and I usually like to know I can get out easily - well, the door opens right to the door to the stairs that take you down the outside of the house. The entire place is clean and the breakfast and coffee are wonderful. Cathy did let us know that she will be leaving in a few weeks to move out of state but that she is leaving the b&b in capable hands! The room itself was very very small but since we didn't spend much time in it, it was fine for us. The third floor rooms do require lots of stair climbing, so be prepared for that if you book one. From the bed in Room 19, if you open your curtains you can see the waves on the beach. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the shower was great. My only wish would be for more shelving in the bathroom for toiletries -- we had to mostly leave them out in the room and bring them in as needed. The walk to Asbury Park is not short but it's pleasant and doable. Ubers are quick if you prefer to go that route. We walked everywhere. Would definitely recommend this B&B!

The staff was superb and responsive to all requests. Breakfast was tasty with the selection of fruit, yogurt, granola, various types of bread, turnovers and multiple different egg dishes. Coffee and tea were available 24 hours a day. The room was a third floor walk up, which could be a problem for some, but was not for me. The building was close to the beach and the downtown area.

The Carriage House was such a treat this weekend. Checking in was easy and we walked into a beautiful clean, very homey room. Breakfast was totally delicious (my favorite was the French toast bread pudding cups). The staff was readily available but I really liked how hands off they were, it was in a way that felt like you were respected guests in their home, like a part of the family. You almost feel like you’ve got a little apartment of your own or something. We didn’t use the maids’ services while we were there but they did do a wonderful job at presenting us with a beautiful clean room. I would absolutely stay here again! (Also, if you can get room 19 I highly recommend it!) They don’t have parking but if you get into ocean grove early enough finding parking isn’t hard, we were able to find a spot two blocks away. Thanks so much for such a lovely welcoming experience!

Room was clean. Bed was very uncomfortable and the walls are very thin. We stayed on the second-floor room 216 and we could hear the people above us at 1:30am take a shower and walk loudly across the room above us. I actually heard the person snoring in the room next to ours. I wanted to love it but was disappointed. I find it hard to believe that for what we were charged for the room that it did not include beach passes like other B&B. Breakfast was nice and the use of the bikes and chairs was great.

Our room was too small for two people. There was no room for a comfortable chair to sit in. We were on the third floor. too many steps to climb each day for someone with a heart condition and bad feet. Parking is always a problem in Ocean Grove and was no better at the Carriage House where they have no parking designated for guests. These problems are all exaggerated by the very hot humid weather and made it more difficult for two elderly people. Our stay was perfect! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We drove in from the Newark airport and never used the car again during our stay because everything was walkable. We came for two concerts at The Stone Pony and walked to each show while exploring the area and trying excellent restaurants in Asbury Park. Ocean Grove has a small Main Street area as well. The entire community is picturesque and everyone is friendly. Carriage House is just one short block from the beach and you can easily get a discounted day pass before you head out. They also have beach towels, umbrellas, and chairs for guests to use which was amazing! The breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay for an additional day. We highly recommend Carriage House and plan to come back again!
