Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Birmingham Pelham/I-65

Overall, I had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suite in Pelham, AL. We were in town for the Xterra Triathlon event at OMSP. The hotel is super convenient to the main entrance of the park. The room was clean and comfortable, though it was odd that the cleaning staff partially cleaned my room, left the bed unmade, with no towels replaced, and then must have returned a couple of hours later when I needed to use the room to shower and rest for a while. I then let the front desk attendant know that I was leaving the room so that the staff could complete cleaning the room. I was a little disappointed with the fitness center amenities, but the weather was perfect for outdoor recreation. I didn't use the pool. The day-time front desk attendant was also a bit lazy with offering hospitality to the guests. He seemed to be more enamored with staring at his phone than helping customers. Nonetheless, it was an overall nice stay. The adjacent Margarita Grille is also a wonderful restaurant to venture over to if you're interested in good food, excellent service, and live music every night.

Hotel was clean with one of the better hotel beds I’ve slept in.

My only complaint was there was not a black out curtain in the room. Other than that it was a great stay. Very good location, lots of places to eat and it was easy to get to.

A great place to stay. We were greeted promptly as we entered the hotel by a friendly and helpful staff person. Our room was large, very comfortable, quiet and clean. It included a mini fridge and microwave. The location was perfect for an overnight along Highway 65; close to it, but far enough so no road noise. There were a few restaurants within a very short walking distance. The breakfast in the morning offered a wide variety of food and their coffee was excellent. We did not use the pool, but it looked inviting! All in all, a very positive night!
