Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Columbia at Harbison, SC

Nolan at the front desk was wonderful. However, before arrival we asked if the hot tub was working & the pool. We were told yes. This was the main reason we booked this specific hotel. When we got there it was not operational & the pool water was being tested by a maintenance company. We asked for a refund I wee were denied.

Fitness facility and pool were not open. I understand the pool has a mechanical issue, but don't understand the fitness facility. COVID is no longer a reason to keep it closed. Staff was nice. Directed us to a very nice place to eat. They did seem a bit overwhelmed. Breakfast was very understocked. Cream cheese, but no bagels. Gravy but no biscuits. No eggs. Orange juice was watery. Oatmeal but no brown sugar.

The pool and exercise were shut down. There was a broken down car in the lot. The fire alarm went off at 3:20am and a fellow guest said it was the second time in two days. The pancake machine was broken down. I have had much better experiences at Country Inn facilities in the past.

Breakfast was fine as well as the room, didn't like that the pool & hot tub as well as the fitness center was closed. As it was the main reason why I picked that hotel.

Indoor pool not working...system down, couldn't check in for about 50 min...no discount or compensation...missing bathroom tile, hair dryer doesn't work...horrible experience!!!

Dee was great, sharing her personal dinerware with us because nothing was available after hours. The pool was closed by order of the health department. Shoes of a previous guest were left in the dresser. One towel was provided for two guests. Outside looked reasonable. Something had been ripped off the wall and the screws left sticking out. Ice machine was broken. Window was open when we arrived. Overall, you get what you pay for. It was cheap with all that implies.

The people are excellent, truly hard workers. The place is nice, but the pool, the gym and laundry were out of service.

The pool was broken and the hot tub was broken. A machine was broken in the workout room. The carpet was stained throughout with landscape and other things marking a decline. Other than the stains, the room was clean and comfortable.

Extremely filthy. Couch had stains all over it. Pull out mattress had blood stains. Blood stained sheets that I'm not even sure were clean. Room smelled awful!

I don't even know where to start this review. I never leave reviews. This one deserves the biggest warning. I am very easy going, but I checked into this hotel and back out immediately after finding bugs in the bathroom, feces on the toilet paper, bodily fluids on the walls, shredded up bed skirting, and an absolutely filthy floor in TWO rooms. The front desk clerk, Daniel, was extremely kind and understanding, agreeing that the room conditions were not acceptable, matter of fact he said they were ridiculous. Also ironic that a sign on the front desk says and I quote, "commitment to clean" and it mentions a memorable experience. I promise you it was memorable in the WORST way. The front desk clerk processed the refund on the hotel end, but hotels.com has STILL not refunded me. Beyond disappointing since I ALWAYS book on hotels.com and am very loyal to hotels.com. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Filthy carpet, elevator floor was dirty with unidentifiable “matter” in the corners. Room carpet was somewhat cleaner than h, stains Sam’s small hole in arm of bedroom chair, stains on the decorative cover on bed. Pulled the bedspread down and a live bedbug scurried across the sheet. The walkthrough took 90 seconds and we left the building. The desk clerk suited us that they would approve a refund with hotels.com s as soon as they asked for it. Then we spent precious daylight trying to find a number for hotels.com. Please provide a way to converse with a person!

The pool & hot tub were both closed and not working even though I called before booking to confirm they were both operational. The bathroom ceiling in our room was completely covered in black mold where the above room apparently was leaking. Several towels in the bathroom were folded and stacked, but were dirty and obvious previously use and never washed. There was vomit from someone at the main entrance that was there when we checked in and still there the next morning when we left. Overall bad experience. Would not recommend

Bed was comfortable. Floor, towels and chairs stained. No batteries in the tv remote and none to replace it. Bad smell of old tobacco. Won’t stay here again. Staff was nice.

This hotel is disgusting! I don’t understand how they are allowed to stay open and run in that shape. The floors looked like they haven’t been vacuumed in months. There was a moldy hole in the wall in the bathroom. I asked to be moved to a different room and the front desk girl had an attitude about having to move me. And the room I was moved to wasn’t much different. That room also had a disgusting hole in the wall in the bathroom. Marks and missing paint on the walls, missing hair dryer, stains all over the carpet and furniture. There was no A/C in the hallways, so they were hot and smelled bad. I would definitely not stay here until the owner makes some major changes!

I discovered bedbugs in room 222.

I was given the small, dirty, olia to old, poorly cleaned carpets, horrible whatever I can say about that. dirty stockings of former guests, it was horrible. and in hab 404 my 2-year-old grandson slept on a cockroach that was under the sheets! when we woke up we saw such pigs, and another cockroach on the dead floor. how disgusting. and my grandson sleeping on top of that. we asked them to do deep cleaning and when we got back to the hotel at 9 pm, they had only removed the cockroaches and had not cleaned anything. they changed us to 424 and it was smaller than the one I paid, and smelling the same. I demand reimbursement, or something because this is going to know everything google. my family was disgusted with so much dirt

Heater in the room could not get the room temp above 68 degrees. The condition of the hotel was very old, outdated and did not appear clean.

It was just ok. Front desk ppl were great. 5 star. The hotel itself needs an upgrade. It was old and worn out. We had a few minor issues in the room but nothing to really complain about. It was for 1 night, so we just had our stay and left. If this was a longer trio and we had to stay there longer, this would be a very different review.

There was no remote for the TV. Upon my request when I went to the front desk, the guy found me one remote after a long time of waiting and when I got to the room, the remote did not work. Jeeeez! I just let go and didn't bother further. The phone in the room did not work and I could not make complaints or get attendants attention from the room but I have to consistently go to the front desk. Worst still, there was no iron in my room. I went to the front desk to report it and I was promised one. It took so long to eventually bring it and sadly the iron does not work! So why did they bring us a useless iron and a useless remote? There was a technical issue processing my payment when we arrived for check in. I swapped my credit card and the charges taken my credit card but the attendant guy kept saying the money did not process and I need to pay or else I can't be checked in. This caused some arguement and much delay at the lobby without checking us in. I adviced them to make calls to their payment center because the money was already taken from my account. After a long time they came to me and confirmed that the payment went through successfully. This was not a good experience for me.

This location needs a complete overhaul. I was so disappointed. Stained carpet and chairs, lumpy mattresses and loose floor tiles with significant water damage in the bathroom. The hallway had no AC either. The elevator was filthy and smelled like pot. The only redeeming factor was friendly staff.

The room was pretty beat up, no TP dispenser, no trash can in bathroom, hairdryer busted, no housekeeping during our stay, all furniture was scratched, not sure if even goodwill would take them, desk chair ripped, torn, tawdry, carpet spotted, burn marks, dirty (poorly vacuumed), vinyl curtain and sheer curtain had big stains and were falling off the curtain rod. When I asked for a trash can for the bathroom, the staff weren't sure they could find another one. When they did find it, she called and said I could pick it up at the front desk. Apparently they didn't have enough staff to offer basic customer service.

Came to relax for a weekend and kids were running around half the night in the room above us . They were noisy and kept bumping and jumping. It was HORRIBLE

We were traveling from Florida to NC and just needed a place to spend the night. We had stayed at this same hotel the year before. It's comfortable and quiet and convenient to many restaurants a short car ride away. Both times our room overlooked the roof - oh well. the bathroom needed some repair work, but everything worked fine. The breakfast is average- adequate but could use an upgrade.

Guy at front desk was purposefully delaying our check in. Never ran my card but told me it was declined. I spoke to my bank he never ran it.

If I can leave zeros stars I would. I came there around 1 or 2 am I paid $154.00 for a room. When I got there apparently I had booked the room for the following day. So the staff member said he would just put me in a room and when I wake up just come down and check in with the manager next day. I went to room 317 the room was filthy I opened the door. The covers were messed up as if someone had just got out the bed so I went down stairs and explain this to the employee so he gave me another room. 213 I walked up the stairs he was already in the room he had used his master key to get in without my permission. So I told him no I was not going to stay he told me to cancel through Experian. I called the hotel the next day he said his manager approve me to get my refund I asked to speak with a manager they gave me an email so I emailed her I never received a message back. I called the hotel again he answered the phone the same man from the night before and said why I keep asking questions if I already got the answer I wanted he hung up in my face and I called about 8 more times he hung up every time so I called off of another number they waited to answered and once he answered again I told him that I would be calling the police getting the police involve he proceeded to say what is the police going to do. Experian got in touched with them and now they’re saying they will not refund my room even though I never stayed in the hotel one night

The staff was outstanding, considering the storm conditions in the multi state area. Tierra and Daniel, specifically, went above and beyond the call to duty. In general, I had very comfortable stay. The bed was great and the tv worked! The morning breakfast furnished by the hotel exceeded all expectations (pancakes, sausage, toast, dry cereal, muffins, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, etc.). I think the hotel is a work in progress as my room had stained carpets, light fixtures and smoke detectors not attached to the ceiling. Also, the shower head was not attached to the wall and was too close to the wall. Needs a longer pipe coming out of the shower call. Lastly, the wall panel that covers the air conditioning/heating unit was not mounted, this caused the noise from the running unit to emanate into the room. I turned the unit off at the thermostat and opened a window to handle that problem. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

This is a great hotel for the price. The night clerk was especially helpful. After we checked into our room he called us just to see if we needed his help on anything. He also brought me a TV channel guide and helped me find the right channel for what I wanted to watch.

Stayed here 2 night's (Sep 26-27). Hotel is in a great location. Definitely needs a remodel, but it wasn't bad. Room was clean and the rate is really what attracted me. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was ok. Economy isn't great so for the rate, i wasn't displeased.

My wife’s vehicle was broken into, and the staff was less than willing to help and be cooperative with law-enforcement in their investigation. Numerous people we’ve talked to today on November 16. Have All told us that as a terrible part of town one star rating would never stay here again.

Staff at check in were very nice but didnt seemed proficent at check in with their system. I was on third floor with multiple bags and the elevator was working. Location is borderline from a feeling of safety for thr location. No vending machines and i wasnt willing to leave after dark to go get anything. Room it self was ok but outdated bathroom was the one bright spot. Good water pressure and mostly refurbished.

I did not feel totally safe entering or leaving after dark. Also the premises were not clean.

Not bad at all. Nice pool and exercise room. Great coffee. Idk about the breakfast I never ate it. Many different restaurants and shopping centers in the area. Easy check it. Designated smoking areas. Well lighted at night time.Quiet

The hotel is about 15-20 minutes from Fort Jackson. The are seemed safe with ample parking. The room had an awful odor. We had to open the windows to allow fresh air in. The window missing mesh on one side, and the other side had a huge whole the side of a basket ball. Window was dirty. The carpet had stains all over. The comforter on the bed had dirt marks that appeared it has been used multiple times and not changed. Bed linens were worn, very thin. I would advise to bring your own or use a blow up mattress. Rooms are cleaned every three days unless requested. Furnitures were free of dust . The bathroom was fairly clean. Water temperature was ok. Breakfast was ok, offered different choices. Overall, it’s a nice property. However, management need to step up and maintain it. The hotel is priced reasonably the same as other top hotels in the area. The staff was very nice. I give them one star for customer service.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my LIFE. We heard a gun shot outside while we were unloading our car. The room looked like someone had been killed in there. It was horrible. It was so bad, we went across the street to buy new sheets, an air mattress and blankets. The air mattress was to make up for the pull out sofa not being in ANY condition to be slept on. Idk what rooms these people with good reviews are staying in, but this was AWFUL. I will never again stay here. I hope you read this and take my advice to stay somewhere else!!

Place smelled bad, room smelled bad, could hear people/noise from the other room, the sofa bed was dirty and couldn’t use it. And the breakfast was horrible, only bread, cereal and limited snacks, no hot food.

Room had a broken desk chair, back leaning so far back, Also a very stained chair & ottoman, pictures were missing from wall, bed was much too firm, The morning breakfast: selection was ok, but coffee and oj were both very weak & watered down. We ended up getting coffee at a nearby convenience store. Pretty bathroom, but tile floors were dirty. Hotel overall was very old. Pool was closed. Price was good. Note: You have yo leave a $100 damage deposit at checkin and then it will take 5 days to refund it, if room is considered in good condition. Given the overall condition of the room we had, I can not understand what they were worried about. I wish I could upload photo of the desk clerk practically lying down in her chair, on her cell phone constantly She Looked so unprofessional & she looked bored. Hotel was almost empty the night we stayed.

First room given has something spilled on the bed skirt, chewing gum on the headboard, walls looked terrible, carpet dirty. 2nd room given also needed carpets cleaned, coffee maker in room was dirty and some of the bath towels still had hair on them. Breakfast was not appetizing. Very little choices and very little fruit.

Better breakfast options. Front desk made the best of what she had nothing hot.
