Overall a very nice pub. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A family business. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Only criticism for us was the room. Well equipped and comfortable, but had clear signs and smells of damp.

This was a one-night booking for my wife and her elderly parents, stopping off en route to Scotland. They were allocated rooms on the ground floor which were perfect, given their reduced mobility. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They loved dinner and breakfast and raved so much about their stay that we booked it again for a night on the way home a week later!

Lovely Hotel very Homely - quiet location - staff very helpful and friendly. Good food food both breakfast and other meals. Great selection of both pump ales and bottled drinks.

Large room with comfortable bed. Breakfast excellent cooked to perfection. Ate lunch one day meal was also excellent cannot fault the food at all.
