Kirkdale

I checked at around 20:30, the receptionist was in his cubicle, not polite or informative. I had RM:18, I walked in the carpet had thick black stains, the floor tiles in the bathroom was cracked, but the bed looked clean and nicely made. As I am a backpacker, wasn't too alarmed with what I saw, hence did not complain. The place was infested with bed bugs! I was woken up with bite marks, I was suspicious, then had confirmation as one was running on the quilt after it's feast! I have taken photos of the room and the bed bug! I informed the receptionist of the incident and he stated manager will not be around until later that day and that the hotel will not be there for long as the property was sold. I called the manager on the 07.06.2025, no joy. Sent her complaint and asking for refund, I am still waiting for a response.

Good friendly staff breakfast was good comfortable for price

Unclean, overpriced for a terrible room. Didn’t sleep as didn’t feel clean. A horrible experience.

The hotel is lovely in all communal arias but the rooms are very poor Smells like an ashtray , window lock broken and temporary fix but it dose not seal it so the room is is cold and hade to ask for heating and extra blanket . Breakfast is eggs toast and beans , cornflakes and tea Not bad . Staf Helpful and friendly.

Simple 3-star hotel with friendly staff, car park and daily breakfast. Good low cost stay
