This is about a half mile walk from the South Amtrak station, close to the metro and popular attractions like the freedom trail. The place is newer, clean and well maintained. This was the first time I've ever stayed at a hostel and it was a positive experience, although we did not end up having other roommates in our 4-bed bunk room. It has a nice kitchen, laundry area, and other common areas, and big individual lockers in the bunk rooms to lock up your stuff (bring your own lock). I would stay here again if I'm ever in Boston. My only complaint would be the motion sensor light in the bunk room that would flip off frequently when we wanted it to stay on, and flip on in the middle of the night if we moved while we were sleeping - but if we kept our bed curtains closed it wasn't an issue.
