Comfort Suites Altoona North

My stay was very nice. Easy on, easy off the highway. Arrived at 3pm check-in time. Front desk person was very helpful and pleasant; the room was clean and comfortable. I returned after a concert in State College at 11:30pm (about a half hour easy drive) and there was a screaming child next door, but I was up for another hour and the sound of the room a/c fan drowned most of it out. There is a Sheetz about 1/4 mile up the road, which was nice because I hadn't eaten dinner before the concert. The breakfast was very good: make-your-own waffles in 2 flavors, muffins, bagels, English muffins, etc., cereal, juice and coffee, oatmeal, eggs, sausage and biscuits and I think gravy. The hot food wasn't super-hot, but I took my food to my room, anyway, so I just microwaved it. Online says breakfast is 6am-10am, but it was actually 7am-10am, which was fine because checkout was 11am. If I book a hotel with breakfast, though, I do like to know ahead of time when it starts in case I have to leave the hotel early. Only complaint was the Wi-Fi turned off around 8am and I couldn't get back on with any device. Not sure if that's planned or if I was just unlucky? It also came up when I arrived that you can only have one device per room per stay... Not sure if that's accurate or not, but I could see that being an issue if you were traveling for business and needed to use multiple devices. Overall, my stay was very nice, and I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

Location was OK. Needs some tender loving care around the facility. Other than that, it was OK

The hotel is fine. The coffee tasted like the machine was dirty inside. It was terrible. The young lady at the front desk, whom I believe is Cassie, was an absolute delight. She was very. Professional and seemed to actually care about our stay. That young lady is an asset do your hotel. The room was nice and claim. Although both the toilet handle and the bathroom sink faucet handle were loose, and I was afraid they were going to fall off. They did not, but room 212 needs a little bit of care. All it all our stay was just fine.

Clean room. Beautiful lobby. Very nice staff
