It was great to have access to the kitchen where we had the supplies for breakfast to hand. Friendly and helpful people on reception. Cleanliness could be much better eg: the stairwell needed a vacuum; kitchen surfaces, cooker nobs, handles, bathroom tiles seemed sticky and needing a clean. But overall our stay was good, towels, bedding and bedroom clean. Thanks for having us.

Staff were friendly and explained everything very well. we were fortunate to go on a weekend and found free parking just up the road that was only permit mon to fri and the tube is just down the road so perfect for our weekend in London

I was expecting a better room. The overall condition of the property is terrible. I had a room facing the road. There was no fan in the room and of you left the window open, you could not sleep the entire night. Shred kitchen was very useful and it was well stoked. Receptionist were very helpful.

Basic but functional room, perfect if you are visiting a stadium or arena and just need somewhere to sleep. Not spotless but cleanliness was fine, its not a hotel chain so dont have those expectations but totally fine to sleep in and would recommend. handy nisa shop by the hotel and a pub across the road that did nice burgers and very near bow church station. area felt safe and no issues there, quite green and pleasant. front desk staff very friendly. the kitchen/dining area is pleasant and there was milk and tea making facilities provided in there and bread for toast and cereal and fruit which is a nice extra. our room was quiet and away from the road. good value compared to chain hotels nearby for a couple of nights and will use again if we are seeing anymore events at london arena!

Good location, walking distance to railway public transit. The groceries store next door was a "nice to have". Conditions were ok, the room & bath pretty minuscule but that is expected for the cheap accommodations in Europe. The breakfast area is ok, a fully functional kitchen with self-service. Not a lot of options in the "menu" but it did its job well.

The facility is rather spartan and needs upliftment. There was no signpost to indicate the hotel at the address. Located on the busy Bow road, the environs appear rather untidy with uncleared refuse close to the hotel's entrance. This location is a plus, being close to the Westfield Shopping Center , Stratford. Like the building, most of the facilities are equally aged, like the archaic door key system. The self styled ''self service breakfast'' is quite spartan with few offerings while the venue only accommodates a center table with only 4 seats. Sleep quality was rather poor as my room on the ground floor suffered from the noise of night time driving on Bow road. The cost of services offered are on the high side while the hotel urgently needs an improvement and uplift.

What a find! We booked this hotel because of its proximity to ABBA Voyage & we couldn’t have picked a better spot. The hotel is a walkable distance from the venue but the weather was terrible the night we were booked so we caught public transport instead. The Bow Church station is across the road from the hotel & is one stop away from ABBA. The hotel itself was a little old but spotlessly clean & well maintained. The staff were so friendly & helpful. The breakfast was great, especially as it was included in the price. The Bow Road tube station is a short walk away & made getting into central London very easy. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we’re in London.

City Lodge was close to the subway system so getting around was easy. The bathroom had a lot of mold. I would not recommend staying at this location.

Diciamo che ci siamo adattati solo per non litigare avendo già pagato ma veramente poco chiara la descrizione e foto ingannevoli. Ingresso fatiscente e pulizia molto scadente. Room was small, but reasonable for the price, however the common areas and room were extremely dirty. Black mold on the bathroom ceiling and grout, and walls and floors in very poor condition.

Whilst it was cheapish for london prices, the reasons were very clear on arrival, the room was like a tiny well used bedsit, very small, and the ensuite bathroom was filthy, the grouting in the bathroom was black wirh heavy use, the toilet area smelled of urine, and the bedroom area was in serious need of decirating the floor boards creaked badly, and overall, the whole building (or what we saw) was in need of serious refurbishment.

El alojamiento tiene muchísima humedad, moho en la ducha... La cocina está muy sucia, la comida allá tú si la comes... En fin un horror. Dormimos una noche porque no nos quedaba otra.. pero las 2 noches restantes buscamos otro hotel volviendo a pagar ya que city Lodge no quiso reembolsar las noches no utilizadas..

Dafür das in London die Hotels allgemein sehr teuer sind, kann man das Hotel hier für den Preis und der Leistung akzeptieren. Es gibt Frühstück den man sich selber zubereiten kann (Toast, Eier, Cornflakes, Milch, Butter, Obst und Chips) Zimmer und Badezimmer sind sehr klein.

It was my worst hotel experience. The room was on the ground floor (114), it did not have a proper window (a window to another room - a porch on the street side), the curtains were stained with a colour. It definately is not worth c. 100 euros a night.

Das Zimmer war ein Witz! Für eine Person vielleicht groß genug, aber für 2 war das Standard Doppelzimmer absolut zu klein. Das Bett war höchstens 1,20m breit und dann hat trotzdem nur ein Nachtkästchen daneben gepasst, weil dann direkt die Wand des „Badezimmers“ kam. Das war genauso winzig - von der Toilette aus konnte man die Füße in der Dusche ablegen. Von Sauberkeit war gar keine Rede. In der Dusche hatten die Kalkflecken bereits wieder Kalkflecken und Schimmel gab es auch. Frische Handtücher gab es nur, wenn der „Roomservice“ fragen konnte, ob man welche benötigt. War man nicht anwesend, wurde einfach gar nichts gemacht. Staubgesaugt wurde auch nur auf dem Gang, geschweige denn Staub gewischt. Was dazu führte, dass sowohl auf als auch im Kleiderschrank (mit genau einer Schranktür, für 2 Personen wohlgemerkt!) dicke Staubflusen lagen - also nicht nutzbar war. Das Bett wurde auch nur auf Bitten gemacht, da war wir tatsächlich ein Mal anwesend waren, als der „Roomservice“ kam. Das Fenster war so groß, wie der nicht funktionierende Ventilator - wir hatten das ausprobiert, in der Hoffnung dass Zimmer abkühlen zu können, denn es war unerträglich warm darin. Nachts öffnen war leider keine gute Idee, denn das Zimmer war zur Straße gelegen und die Polizei hatte viele Einsätze!!!! Die Gemeinschaftsküche war absolut ekelig. Der Boden war schon länger nicht mehr gewischt worden, die Spüle hatte ebenfalls dicke Kalkverkrustungen, im Kühlschrank klebten die Ablageflächen.

Udmærket sted at sove og intet andet. Det var længe siden gulvet var gjort rent. Trængte til en støvsuger. Vindue ud til busy vej med ambulance udrykning hvert 10 min. Men hey det er London 😝 Jeg tror der var et hospital nær ved. Ellers udemærket sted for pengene.

We loved the shared kitchen and made great use of it. The staff were very friendly. The bed was comfortable!! All in all well worth the money.

Good value, polite check in (including an offer to carry my bag upstairs). Room far too hot and a bedside lamp would have been a welcome addition. Entry stair carpet needs a good clean, but the room itself was clean. However for an overnight stay it was good value and I would book again.

First of all, we booked at city lodge but was then told we are staying at their sister branch called city stay. Only the bathroom and bed was clean. Everything else was dirty. Stairs to room was very slippery. No access to anything to drink. Staff wasn't helpful at all and didn't even know how long we were staying for. Overall not great and was pleased to get home.

The gentleman named Hussain at the reception was outstandingly kind and generous making sure we were at ease and comfortable. He was the one who made our stay the best.

I like the property location it was closed to my station where i can go to my friends or uncles house and it was a good location to catch train. I did not like the properly because first and foremost the reception guy was very rude and he was not helpfull, and the room was small the give me and wife a small room where we could not go to sleep for the next two day.we were hearing lot of banging and shouting from next-door when i could not go to sleep and i had to complain on expedia then the next day the reception give me a different room the second guy call Muhammed was very good and helpful.

Front desk very friendly and accommodating. Facility needs major upgrades. But location is close to London Stadium so was perfect in that regard for my stay.

Hotel was in easy walk of underground station and DLR. I stayed for a night before going to Excel, a short journey using the DLR. The room was functional and had an ensuite shower room. The shower was good and hot. The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast supplied was a pleasant surprise, quite a choice of items, although self service, very good.

Great location as went to ABBA Voyage only 15 min walk away. Basic, clean, friendly hosts. Bath towels on small side. Local station 3-4 min walk Bow Road. Easy to navigate around London. 20-30 min to Central London.

We booked the hotel as it was 10 minutes walk from the Abba Arena. Room was clean and comfortable but it was a bit of a struggle carrying suitcases (we had big cases as this was the start of a long trip) up the stairs. The host did with the cases which eas nice of him. Rooms are a bit basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but good for a budget hotel. Ideal location for Abba Voyage with Bow Road station being less than 10 minutes and Bow Church station accross the road.

It was about 3-5 mins walk from the nearest tube. My room was clean when I arrived, I wasnt expecting that they offer a self-service breakfast, that was a plus.

La peggiore esperienza avuta con Hotel.com in 20 anni, da Evitare assolutamente. La finestra non chiudeva, c'era 5 gradi a Londra stamattina su una strada trafficata. Impossibile cambiare camera, personale altamente non supportivo e al limite educazione. La colazione "compresa" una truffa non esistente, la risposta è stata hai pane e burro in frigo. Di sicuro non vale il prezzo pagato
