Staff is amazing and overall experience was perfect. Only downfall was the pool wasn’t open and there’s no jacuzzi. Other than that the outdoor lounge area where we got to bbq and have our family dinner was pretty nice.

Our one bedroom suite was huge, and the full kitchen was perfect for our family's needs. The room itself was clean, though the carpet was a little stained. Looks like our previous guests did a terrible job washing dishes, so we rewashed them before using. The staff was super-friendly, and warned us that most people complain about the springs in the sofa bed mattress poking them. My 18-year-old daughter didn't mind that. Free breakfast was decent, with a large variety (though the fruits weren't the best quality). Note: If you come here expecting to use the pool and fitness area, they are really small.

Overall a very nice place. I have stayed 2x & both times both elevators have been broken. I have also been charged both times for me service dog even though I presented her DOC forms and her service dog licensing. I was not charged by the ladies who checked me in but I was told the manager that came In the next day had ran both charges after my stay had ended. This is the only reason that I would not recommend this hotel. All of the staff were kind and welcoming but the manager seemed to have a problem each time that she had no desire to tell me about she just instead waited until I left and added on charges that my dog should not be charged for. 👎

Lots of amenities- free Pac-Man game, billiards, pool, gym….

I’ve stayed at other Marriott properties and overall it was comparable but the pool and spa need to be resurfaced and the water fountains were rusty. The grill was out of order as well. The staff was fabulous and welcoming. The room was lovely and spacious with everything we needed in the kitchen. Plenty of coffee and a variety of breakfast options! This place is conveniently located close to the freeway!

We travelled from Australia for a wedding and booked this hotel as it had a pool upon arrival it was advised pool closed false advertising and very dissapointing

The beds were comfy, the room was nice and clean. Staff was good. Pool area was not great and needs updated lounges and chairs. The location is busy, but it was right off the freeway. This location could use an update for sure

The only downside to this property was that there was a $5/night parking fee that should have been made more clear in the information.

See fleas inside bathroom ! Need to call to have front desk send Elevator up ! Take over an hour to have someone up to help turn on the TV ! Staff shortage is obvious

Area was very quiet and the Check In Desk Rep were Kind. But When I enter the Room and open the Cabinet under the Sink I found one live Cockroach. I called the Front Desk and I asked for the Manager but he was not available nor called me back. I worked up next day morning and one more Cockroach came out. I called the Front Desk and asked for Manager but he was not available and never called me back. I can always moved the Room to other Room but I was very disappointed about Manager being negligence about this issue. And this Hotel is not like motel. It is Marriot and I am also a member of Marriot Bonvoy. It is not like $ 100 per night room. I spent over $ 300 per night. I think this is their Maintenance Problem.

We stayed two nights and did not get maid service. The room had not been dusted.

We did not get to check in till five thirty because our room was not ready. We ants in our first room and moved us too a new room the next day

First room smelled like cigarettes. Roach in kitchen, noisy

Person above our room either stomped like an elephant or the ceilings are very thin. In our room I found some sort of animal poop in the corner by our bed and our shower towels had big black stains on them that looked like they had not been cleaned…

Cleaning lady’s were super kind, clean kitchen and in good conditions, Dislike: dirty pool.

Bathroom was dirty, shower did not drain. Bed was uncomfortable. Blinds were not black out blinds. Will not stay at this place ever again.

My trip was ok. The main thing that i didn't care for was the cleanliness. The dishes were still dirty with food on them. The stove had a hole in it. The counters were dirty. The sofa had stains on it.The kitchen didn't have hardly any appliances and cookware. I definitely don't think this would be my first choice of properties to stay at. I definitely like the Carlsbad location better. Much cleaner, rooms more updated , great staff, more kitchen appliances and great customer service.

The room had a foul smell, perhaps cigarette smoke or mildew. It was also very noisy due to it being located next to the freeway and also a busy street. I would not stay at this property again for those reasons.

A very nice hotel just a little dated. Carpet in hallways needs to be replaced and halls appeared dingy. Rooms were better.

Studio king was clean and spacious. I liked the room for the kitchen and comfortable bed. Each night was quiet. I stayed on 4th floor for 4 days. Staff were kind and welcoming and breakfast was good each day with plenty of options such as egg soufflé, cheese omelette or scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and turkey sausage. I would definitely stay again

The king size bed was very comfortable, but the pullout bed for the couch had a mattress that was so thin that my granddaughters probably slept on spring. It was very uncomfortable for them. I slept on the king bed. I told you attendant on check out about the problem and he said that their renovating it takes six months to get things done I understand that but I paid almost $200 for that room that night, but of a surprise that they would offer the last room to us with that type of bedding on the pullout on the couch, very unhappy the food there wasn’t very good either, but I always consider comfort when it comes to the bedding. The king size bed was OK. It was good but again I Had to see my granddaughters sleep on something like that was not good.

The property is close to highway and very noisy at night.

The location is directly off of HWY 78 and about 5 minutes from CSUSM which is convenient for us since my daughter goes to school there. There is shopping center about 2 minutes that includes Starbucks, Raising Canes and Broken Yok. Very cool The rooms have a small kitchen including a full size refridge which is great for left overs or keeping drinks cold.

Check in was easy, our room was clean and ready when we arrived. The free breakfast was probably the best thing about the hotel, so much different options and very tasty. Our stay was okay and we probably won’t stay there again. The first night we got back into the room and our lights weren’t working. We called front desk for maintenance and there were none on property. Luckily for us my husband was handy enough to figure out the switch box eventually and we got power again after maybe 45 minutes. But that was the first inconvenience of the trip. The second would be the housekeeping. Apparently they don’t service the rooms daily, but after calling the second day of our stay for service, we were told we could request service for the day as long as we do it the day before or the morning of before 8 am. We always requested the day before for cleaning the next day and only 1 day out of 6 did they actually come in without me having to call a second time. Front desk communication on this matter was terrible and each person would give me a different answer. Also every time I asked for service for the following day, the front desk agent would tell me they’re putting in my request, but next day would come and housekeeping never came in. Also housekeeping doesn’t do a full cleaning, basically only change out towels and take out trash. But again you need to request this daily. It was really annoying and ultimately my reason I will never stay again. Also the bed was uncomfortable.

The guy in the front was really rude

Room was fresh, front desk Christian was lovely and helpful, and it was a great experience.

Front desk staff (Divina?) was extremely kind and accommodating for us during our stay.

Love the Vietnamese receptionist guy. He is super kind, polite and helpful. Will come back because of him.

At check in Karen at the front desk was not friendly and had an attitude. The room was very clean, however the shower and bathroom sink was not draining. I brought it to John’s attention and he is very prompt with his service to come and fix the problem. During our second night there was a group of guest having a party that were outside in the pool area and their voices were loud after midnight that kept me awake. When I brought it up with Karen the next morning again Karen was loud and rude and got very hostile, I ask to speak with the manager and was told I would get a call back that afternoon. Two days later still no call from Bryan the manager, so I had to call Bryan as was aware of the complaint. He said he could not do anything about the noise complaint as he let the party happen. Beware the 10 pm noise curfew might or might not apply at this hotel. Beware Bryan the manager might not fix the problem to keep his guest happy.

We booked the Studio, King Bed on the 4th floor. Great set up with full refrigerator, microwave, dishes, silverware, stove and dishwasher. Shower, hair dryer, soaps etc in the bathroom was great Layout was comfortable in the room too. Desk for those that have to work plus a dining table for your meals. The staff were great… very helpful, considerate and always smiling. Easy to get to from the 78 highway-east or west.

Located near many shops and restaurants. Accommodations are nice. Rooms very ‘roomy’.

Very clean and great location.

It was in close proximity to family. Breakfasts were ample for a "breakfast included" option; hotel room was NOT noisy from within, but room was RIGHT NEXT to busy 3 lane road (each side) and we did not have the option to change rooms so we could sleep ok. Harmless spider on sheets, but no other bugs. Ample room; more costly than our usual, but glad to be there.

The breakfast on Sunday was not as good as the breakfast on Monday. There was a rat in the wall making noise all night. I didn’t like not having towel service each night.

My family and I had a very comfortable stay and the room was clean. Kind of smelled a little off when we got there but it was easy to over look. Breakfast was ok I like that they kept the coffee out after breakfast.

Terrible stay dirty place and terrible breakfast

I needed to find a place to stay for my mom’s 100 birthday. A cousin had stayed there before and recommended it. Easy check in and out. Breakfast was included and a variety was offered. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
