Got an upgrade which was nice. Room was a decent size and well appointed. Free mini bar. Decent shower and plenty of sockets in the room for charging devices. Free safe too. Pretty quiet with little noise from adjoining rooms. Restaurant ok as hotels restaurants go although it’s being refurbished. Good location for access to Docklands and getting into town. Will definitely stay in it again.

The hotel lobby and restaurant are uninviting and the hotel only offers breakfast. However, the staff was kind and attentive. The rooms had dated furnishings, but they are larger than a typical European hotel room.

Our one-week stay at Indigo Tower Hill was wonderful. Our party booked two rooms and asked that they be as close as possible; this request was honored. Pros: 1) Excellent staff (special thanks to Gintare at the front desk, who checked us in and was very helpful throughout our stay); 2) Restaurant closed except for breakfast, which offered excellent food and service (10-15 GBP); large, well-appointed rooms, very clean, beds were comfortable; 4) very quiet at night; 5) Many dining options in neighborhood; 6) within 10 minute walk of three different tube stations. Cons: 1) Surface of shower floor very slippery, requires extreme caution; 2) Bathroom lighting could be improved - no way to stand at mirror without your face being in shadow; 3) TV cannot be seen from bed, which might be problem for some; 4) Bed covering was a thick duvet which, for me at least, was too hot to sleep under, would have liked thin blanket or even just sheet (alas, seems all hotel are like that these days.) Other comments: We enjoyed the location in the City (business/financial area of London); others may prefer more tourist-entertainment centered areas.

A very spacious room by London standards, with a king sized bed and plenty of storage space. The bathroom had a rainfall shower and very good toiletries, so we didn’t need to use any of our own. There was a Nespresso coffee machine as well as a kettle and other free goodies, and the staff were very attentive about refills. Breakfast was on offer, but we didn’t take it up as there are lots of other places nearby. The hotel does not currently open the restaurant at other times. The public spaces are very attractive though. There are plenty of electrical sockets in the room, but some are hidden behind floor to ceiling curtains. The tea and coffee making facilities might seem a little tricky to use as they are inside the wardrobe. They were in the course of upgrading the free WiFi during our stay. Aldgate station is very close by for connections, and it’s a short walk down the hill to lots of attractions.

Good location, really friendly staff. Don’t be fooled By the free mini bar as just a couple of bottles of water and a couple of chocolate bars. However more than you get in other hotels. Overall lovely place but take your own milk as there is a fridge . Loads of places to eat and drink .

There was construction happening on the floor above us which was really loud starting at 8 am in the morning, on the one day we wanted to sleep a little longer. When I talked to main desk, they said they couldn’t offer a discount for this inconvenience or change our room so this would not happen the following morning. The hotel should not charge full price when guests are not provided suitable conditions. Alternatively, have the construction start at 10 am, still inconvenient but not disrupting sleep after a long day of travelling.

This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in. It's not luxury, but just a small step below it. The bathroom was HUGE with a great walk-in shower, room very spacious, they have laundry service, we had a corner room at the front of the building, so really nice view. Lots of walkable shopping (Spitalsfield Market), very short uber ride to loads of attractions (uber shows up very quickly) but most of all the staff at this hotel are incredible. The friendliest, most accommodating, knowledgeable anywhere. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Good Hotel in a fabulous location. Found it quite expensive though and for that price expect that little bit more especially with the Canopy opposite. Pointless having a tv as it’s badly positioned. Bathroom needed TLC and it look like the air con had been recently ripped out of the ceiling and boarded back up in haste. Would stay again though and as I’ve mentioned all it needs is a little more attention.

Lovely welcoming staff on reception desk, room was great, much bigger than expected for central London, very clean, great little extras, kettle and coffee machine, fridge in room with a selection of complimentary soft drinks and snacks, toiletries etc. Location was great, 2 minute walk from tube. Definitely will stay here again.

To start with I had lot of luggage and, there was no help offered/provided. Then the room was not cleaned after the previous guest and, there was trash in the washroom bin that belonged to previous guest. To continue further the washroom has glass windows and, is freezing cold with no option of heating/insulation. Except for the location nothing is good for this hotel, steer clear and, look for other options. I paid 120 pounds per night for such horrible service so never coming back.

Lovely hotel with great sized rooms. Spotlessly clean. And for one all of the mirrors and socket points were in the right places for makeup, hairdryer and charging. Great breakfast. Easy reach of 3 tube stations. I do think hotels.com need to be clearer about when money is deducted from the credit card you give during the booking process. We expected to pay £50 per room per night (2 rooms booked by one person) but instead I had the cost of the 1st night for both rooms deducted from my card before we even arrived without my authorisation. I had not planned to use that card for my stay.

Arrived at 11am to leave our bags but to our delight a room was ready. The room was spacious and bright. Housekeeping was excellent. Front desk staff were very friendly too. This hotel is really central - around an 8 minute walk from Liverpool Street Rail Station and Tower Bridge literally at the bottom of the road.

The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. Bizarrely though the TV didn't face the bed so you either moved the chest of drawers it was stood on or sat at the dressing table to watch it. Heating was effic enough although I wouldn't want to be in the same room in deepest winter as it had double aspect windows and I couldn't get the temperature above 21c.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The room and bathroom were huge, much more spacious than expected. Everything was very clean and comfortable and water and snacks were complimentary. The location is great and close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was very quiet. Bathroom was well equipped. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Great location, quiet hotel, friendly staff. Only issue we had was the aircon/heating fan was on, and noisy all night and it didn’t allow for guests to turn it off, just change the temperature.

Very nice room clean and tidy quiet Bed was comfortable and clean Room seem cold though the heating was awkward to change Very comfortable stay well placed hotel centralish for site seeing shopping etc with close access to 2 tube stations on different line depending on which way you wanted to head 5 min walk from the Tower of London

Very happy with hotel Indigo - have stayed in one in Glasgow and this was better. Really nice room with 4 poster bed, very comfortable. Strange toilet/sink style in the bathroom but it was all clean. Really handy for an event at the Tower of London.

My mom and I spent 10 days in London at the Indigo. The service by the front desk and restaurant staff was exceptional. Additionally we were able to custom order fresh hot breakfast items and get custom espresso drinks. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and welcoming. We had an issue with the flush button on our toilet jamming one evening. The front desk staff tried to assist us, but they were unable and the maintenance person had already gone home. The next morning, they moved us into a new room and helped move our belongings. They also refunded that night without us even having to ask. The customer service was incredible in remedying the situation. I highly recommend the Indigo and will gladly stay here again.

We had the perfect stay at Hotel Indigo. The staff was warm and welcoming and addressed our needs. The hotel is in a centralized location and accessible to many of the sites that we wanted to visit. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend his hotel .

There was construction happening on the floor above us which was really loud starting at 8 am in the morning, on the one day we wanted to sleep a little longer. When I talked to main desk, they said they couldn’t offer a discount for this inconvenience or change our room so this would not happen the following morning. The hotel should not charge full price when guests are not provided suitable conditions. Alternatively, have the construction start at 10 am, still inconvenient but not disrupting sleep after a long day of travelling.

We also appreciated the alternative buffet options for something lighter. This was a wonderful stay and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was in a great spot and perfect at weekends as the City is quiet, but restaurants and bars are open (not all but enough). SkyGarden (highly recommend) is within 10 mins walk and Aldgate tube station is about 200 yards away. Service is great and the executive room we had was just perfect, Wonderful breakfast as well

This was a great hotel! The staff were very kind and helpful! The Aldgate Subway station was very close and that made it easy to get around. The Tower Bridge and Tower of London were a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay here again!

Arrived at 11am to leave our bags but to our delight a room was ready. The room was spacious and bright. Housekeeping was excellent. Front desk staff were very friendly too. This hotel is really central - around an 8 minute walk from Liverpool Street Rail Station and Tower Bridge literally at the bottom of the road.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here, well located to visit the Tower of London and St Paul's Cathedral. Recommend a city view room. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and eager to help, this continued thought our stay. Hotel is very nice throughout and very comfortable room.

Lovely hotel with great sized rooms. Spotlessly clean. And for one all of the mirrors and socket points were in the right places for makeup, hairdryer and charging. Great breakfast. Easy reach of 3 tube stations. I do think hotels.com need to be clearer about when money is deducted from the credit card you give during the booking process. We expected to pay £50 per room per night (2 rooms booked by one person) but instead I had the cost of the 1st night for both rooms deducted from my card before we even arrived without my authorisation. I had not planned to use that card for my stay.

Couldn’t have a full cooked breakfast because there was a problem in the kitchen. We were presented with the worst scrambled eggs, over cooked and tasteless. They would not reimburse me for the breakfast.

The room we stayed in for one night was extremely spacious and clean. The amenities in the room were new and well maintained. The major problem we experienced involved the entire hotel. The morning after our first night, we noticed a typed letter near the elevator and discovered that, due to a maintenance issue with hotel boiler, all guests had to checkout immediately. I’ve traveled extensively the past 30 years and never encountered a situation like this before. My expectation was that Hotel Indigo would find suitable alternative accommodations if they’re asking us to leave - because of something on their end. That was not the case, instead we were told to make our own arrangements. I want to be clear, my grief was/is not with the staff, nor the condition of my room. It’s with the management. I felt terrible for the staff as I overheard them calling people who had reservations to tell them they needed to make other arrangements. Additionally, not only did we need to go pack everything up, we had to also cancel plans in order to find a place to stay. The new accommodations we ended up with were disappointing and nothing like what I booked at Hotel Indigo. We were not charged for the night we stayed and received free breakfast as compensation. This was an opportunity for Hotel Indigo to receive a glowing review for demonstrating their commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Instead, it was this.
