The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious dinner the Hotel restaurant . The view from the patio when you’re having cocktails was spectacular and when you would order drinks they bring you little appetizers to enjoy . And loved the convenient location close to major attractions.

The star of my stay was Marco, the night porter. When it turned out I didn't have a ticket for my home journey, he was instrumental in getting me home at the right time. He researched the logistics required to make a flight on the other side of the island, and I made it with literally minutes to spare. Without his help, I would have been delayed at least 24 hours, if not more. I am also grateful to Ambra for recommending the restaurant Raya, where I had the best meal of my stay. As for the hotel itself, the amenities feel more 4-star than 5-star, aside from the location, the amazing jewellery in the lobby and the entrance. The pool was freezing. But the people who work there are wonderful.

This was our second hotel in Taormina and it blew our first one away for the same price. The room was well designed and contemporary, and the amenities were first rate. There was a large terrace off the Lobby with a bar and amazing views over the water, another one floor down for breakfast, and another two floors down with a good size infinity edge pool. All of this combined with the central location make this hotel an excellent choice.

Absolutely love this hotel, perfect location, stunning views!! Beautiful Pool --overlooking the ocean- Highly professional and trained staff -- especially Danilo who referred us restaurant referrals and things to do. We booked a room with the hot tub on the balcony which on the first morning was beautiful, there were some storms whilst we were there and it didn’t appear the chemicals were adjusted accordingly. The water looked cloudy & we didn’t use on one of the days. The storm also caused multiple power cuts during the night which made the wardrobe lights keep turning on & off. Worst of all was a screeching noise in the paperwork in the walls behind our bed which started around 2.30am until we left the room at 6.45. Front desk could not do anything as there was no one on site, it was disappointing that the hotel did not offer us any kind of compensation for s totally ruined last night. We did reach out to them several times only to be ignored.

We have travelled quite a bit over the years and experienced world class hotels so I believe that we have some idea of good and not so good hotels. Our stay from the 3rd to the 7th of Sept. 2024 was on of the better. Why? Due to a prime location, nice rooms, great view from the hotel, super central in Taormina, well maintained - but above all - the staff. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we experienced a hospitality that is seldom. From the staff fixing the rooms, the reception, the bar, the pool bar, the luggage handler, the waiter, waitresses (hope none forgotten). If the hotel keeps up this track of service level - just go there :) We would definitly plan to go back if returning (or when returning) to Sicily.

Metropole is the best hotel in Taormina both when it comes to location and it has the best view at Breakfast and when you swim in the pool. Service is excellent and both food and drinks are amazing. Giuseppe in the pool Bar and Restaurant, what a legend and provide you with excellent service. Choose this hotel and you will not be disappointed that's an guarantee.

Honestly felt like we got scammed. We booked a Suite with a balcony, but the room we got couldn't have been more different from the pictures. The pictures showed a split level room with a living area on the lower floor including a sofa and a desk then a balcony. The actual room (room 7) instead had a corridor with a bath in the corner (very strange) then opened to a balcony. Then a mezzanine with a bed, which had no windows or any kind of natural light. There was no sofa, no desk and no separate living space, hence definitely not a 'suite'. When we asked the hotel about this they said that some rooms were indeed better than others and that the rooms in the pictures were reserved for guests who booked directly with the hotel and not available via hotels.com, Expedia etc. Hence the scam, since these are the very photos they are using to advertise these rooms on those sites. Other annoying things made this a very sub par stay, such as no ability to turn off the lights on the balcony meaning the rooms were bright all night long, no coffee making facilities in the room, and a general wear and tear for all the furniture in the room.

amazing view and staff. Room was expensive and disappointing. 2 level that was very Las Vegas; plus not one comfortable place to sit. Closet vs bath/bedroom on different floor. Weird and difficult spiral staircase between. Only room we were in so can't speak for others. Bath had a slight sewage odor. Pluses: balcony with amazing views and the staff. The room we had was spacious and our balcony overlooked the Ionian Sea. The bathroom was a great size and updated to new standards. The staff we encountered were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located right outside the old city clock tower gate so super convenient. Definitely recommend staying here. It was wonderful.

Our room was spectacular with a gorgeous view of the bay. Housekeeping was great! The staff at Hotel Metropole in Taormina was outstanding & I cannot say enough good things about Marie, Lucia, Irene & Amber at the lobby desk. So appreciative of everything they did for my wife Michelle & I to celebrate our 25th anniversary! I will be recommending the Hotel Metropole to family & friends! Grazie!❤️

Amazing location and Marija at breakfast was SO SO nice and accommodating :) :). We also checked in with an extremely friendly man who I did not get the name of unfortunately. Our only complaint was the lack of USB ports for charging devices. We bought something on the street which unfortunately didn’t work (our fault for buying it off the street), but charging devices was difficult. Amber at the front desk was also not as helpful or friendly as the others we came in contact with .

Really upsetting that a 5 star hotel doesn’t give the guests the ability to work their AC. They said that they weren’t allowed to activate the AC unit the end of the month. Told them they should have put that as a disclaimer when booking the room. The night before we left, AC was activated, so only got one night of sleep on the entire trip because the other nights were like sleeping in a sauna. No apology or any kind of hospitable offer to make it right.

This was our second hotel in Taormina and it blew our first one away for the same price. The room was well designed and contemporary, and the amenities were first rate. There was a large terrace off the Lobby with a bar and amazing views over the water, another one floor down for breakfast, and another two floors down with a good size infinity edge pool. All of this combined with the central location make this hotel an excellent choice.

Honestly felt like we got scammed. We booked a Suite with a balcony, but the room we got couldn't have been more different from the pictures. The pictures showed a split level room with a living area on the lower floor including a sofa and a desk then a balcony. The actual room (room 7) instead had a corridor with a bath in the corner (very strange) then opened to a balcony. Then a mezzanine with a bed, which had no windows or any kind of natural light. There was no sofa, no desk and no separate living space, hence definitely not a 'suite'. When we asked the hotel about this they said that some rooms were indeed better than others and that the rooms in the pictures were reserved for guests who booked directly with the hotel and not available via hotels.com, Expedia etc. Hence the scam, since these are the very photos they are using to advertise these rooms on those sites. Other annoying things made this a very sub par stay, such as no ability to turn off the lights on the balcony meaning the rooms were bright all night long, no coffee making facilities in the room, and a general wear and tear for all the furniture in the room.

amazing view and staff. Room was expensive and disappointing. 2 level that was very Las Vegas; plus not one comfortable place to sit. Closet vs bath/bedroom on different floor. Weird and difficult spiral staircase between. Only room we were in so can't speak for others. Bath had a slight sewage odor. Pluses: balcony with amazing views and the staff. No wifi for 48 hours and was able to get a minor refund

We booked a room with the hot tub on the balcony which on the first morning was beautiful, there were some storms whilst we were there and it didn’t appear the chemicals were adjusted accordingly. The water looked cloudy & we didn’t use on one of the days. The storm also caused multiple power cuts during the night which made the wardrobe lights keep turning on & off. Worst of all was a screeching noise in the paperwork in the walls behind our bed which started around 2.30am until we left the room at 6.45. Front desk could not do anything as there was no one on site, it was disappointing that the hotel did not offer us any kind of compensation for s totally ruined last night. We did reach out to them several times only to be ignored.

The room we had was spacious and our balcony overlooked the Ionian Sea. The bathroom was a great size and updated to new standards. The staff we encountered were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located right outside the old city clock tower gate so super convenient. Definitely recommend staying here. It was wonderful.

The star of my stay was Marco, the night porter. When it turned out I didn't have a ticket for my home journey, he was instrumental in getting me home at the right time. He researched the logistics required to make a flight on the other side of the island, and I made it with literally minutes to spare. Without his help, I would have been delayed at least 24 hours, if not more. I am also grateful to Ambra for recommending the restaurant Raya, where I had the best meal of my stay. As for the hotel itself, the amenities feel more 4-star than 5-star, aside from the location, the amazing jewellery in the lobby and the entrance. The pool was freezing. But the people who work there are wonderful.

Staying at the Metropole Hotel was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a perfect location in Taormina. Their recommendations for places to visit both in and outside the town, as well as dinner reservations, were spot on. The location is excellent and the views are spectacular. The bellhops, bartenders and restaurant staff are courteous and pleasant. Check-in was horrific and front desk staff was rude and obnoxious.

The location, overlooking the Mediterranean sea was absolutely amazing. New Years Dinner at the hotel? Better Impossible.. but the best part of staying at the Metropole was the service, incredibly friendly, happy Staff, Kudos for Angelique and Giuseppina. Highly recommend staying at the Metropole!! Memorable stay in every sense of the word.

We have travelled quite a bit over the years and experienced world class hotels so I believe that we have some idea of good and not so good hotels. Our stay from the 3rd to the 7th of Sept. 2024 was on of the better. Why? Due to a prime location, nice rooms, great view from the hotel, super central in Taormina, well maintained - but above all - the staff. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we experienced a hospitality that is seldom. From the staff fixing the rooms, the reception, the bar, the pool bar, the luggage handler, the waiter, waitresses (hope none forgotten). If the hotel keeps up this track of service level - just go there :) We would definitly plan to go back if returning (or when returning) to Sicily.

The Hotel Metropole was terrific. Lovely rooms. Lovely staff. VERY central location. The trick is, however, that if you drive to Taormina things get... complicated. It is not a place for cars. If you stay at the Metropole, the entrance is on a walk street. So you MUST call them a few minutes before you arrive so they can greet you in the back on the edge of a cliff and then whisk your car away. It's kind of fun, actually, but it's not what people are used to.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious dinner the Hotel restaurant . The view from the patio when you’re having cocktails was spectacular and when you would order drinks they bring you little appetizers to enjoy . And loved the convenient location close to major attractions.

Amazing stay at an amazing hotel and location. Stunning views. The hotel is so pretty, the reception workers were all so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good as well

Metropole is the best hotel in Taormina both when it comes to location and it has the best view at Breakfast and when you swim in the pool. Service is excellent and both food and drinks are amazing. Giuseppe in the pool Bar and Restaurant, what a legend and provide you with excellent service. Choose this hotel and you will not be disappointed that's an guarantee.

The views and location from this hotel were some of the best I have seen , get a room facing the water and you will not want to leave the room even better if you can get a small balcony to hang and enjoy .its right in town so location cannot be better . It has a small pool with also the great view but it’s small so I wouldn’t come here for the pool . Rooms were bright and bed was very comfortable

It has a small pool with also the great view but it’s small so I wouldn’t come here for the pool . Rooms were bright and bed was very comfortable

This is an excellent hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Our room faced the sea and the view was absolutely beautiful. The Eggs Benedict breakfast on our balcony was of my favorite things we did and it was delicious. Also, it was very relaxing having drinks in the bar, looking at the sea every evening before going out. The location in the town is perfect. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

The property was beautiful and in a great location. Breakfast was very good and the cleaning people were wonderful. My only complaint is with the front desk staff. There were two occasions where the person I was speaking with took off when they saw another guest, basically while helping me, and told me a colleague would assist. I’ve never experienced that in a hotel before. Most of the time the staff were wonderful. The hotel should make it clear how you are to get to the lobby when you get dropped off at parking m, which is 4 floors it so below the lobby. The elevator is locked. It should be clear where a bell is so you can find your way and not be stuck. My cab driver called the hotel but my son’s did not so he called me and I had to tell the front desk he needed to get in. Views of the surrounding area are great from the bar and room
