Dog friendly hotel in good location can’t complain

A guest house I wouldn’t revisit or recommend. Very old fashioned. Very dirty. Did not attempt to use the shower which had black mould round the door. Paintwork all scuffed. Toothbrush holder dirty. Table lamps all torn and dusty. Bed sheets off white/grey. Only had tea and toast for breakfast as didn’t know what the kitchen was like! The only nice thing I can say is that the central heating was working ok, there was free parking and the two men who ran the property were very pleasant.

friendly owner stayed 2nights midweek i booked a single for myself and dog but had been upgraded to small dble clean comfy modern decor nice big shower good well cooked breakfast

Property fantastic location to town, very easy parking, very welcoming, full English breakfast great , very quiet, dint here any other users even though fully booked, dog friendly. Traditional guest house got more than we expected. Great host.

Cheap room but it hadn't been cleaned for a while or it seemed the sheets cleaned.

Rooms do need attention. Cobwebs, black around the shower, wall paper coming away for wall under window. Bed was comfy and breakfast was lovely.

Me and my partner booked to stay here on the 15th-17th June. When we arrived at the property first impressions was that it was run down. We were taking to our bedroom, we were given bedroom 4. The room was run down and could do with some basic works like a lick of paint, new carpet. I then checked the bathroom and this was not a pretty site, there was a slit in the celling above the shower, around the seal of the shower it was dusty and unkepted, the shower it self was full of lime scale right the way down the hose and head, the shower control pannel was thick of black grime underneath. We stayed the Friday night but on the Saturday after being out all day we would not face staying in this room again so we left. There was no one on reception so I left a note asking them to call and I would pay for our stay over the phone as I had not paid yet. We got a phone call about 20 minutes later saying we would get a phone call on the Tuesday fpr payment. No phone call came on Wednesday I got a phone call and email asking for payment, which was fine but I missed phone call due to being at work I picked up the email and said I would pay once I was in from work and give them our experience via email. Later on Wednesday night I came out of work to a voice mail and another missed call at 9.45pm. The voice not was not very nice from what I can only assume is the owner or Manager. I have paid for both the full stay messaged them back to say so. Yet i still have no reply for my feedback!

The staff were excellent however the room is very standard and the beds not that comfortable. There were a number of hairs on the sheets that were not ours.

A family room at this property cost £20 more than an equivalent room at the Premier Inn. As such I would expect the rooms to be on par with, or better than that. The owner seems a nice enough person but the property has not been maintained well. The en suite in particular was very poor, with mould and dirt. Many guests had dogs which meant there was a smell of dog around the place. It was very run down and depressing. One of my children has asthma and being in a damp and mouldy space is not good for his health. My daughter found the en suit so unpleasant she was reluctant to use the toilet. We tried to find alternative accommodation but could not at such short notice. The streets around the hotel had a lot of litter and dog much which is not the fault of the hotel but adds to the unpleasantness of the experience.

The twin room was a good size , needs new mattress topper for the double bed . the bathroom was very spacious , just had a few cobwebs and a bit off dust on the skirting and tile tops . But other than that the hosts were lovely people to get on with , and very polite and ready to help or give advice if you needed it . the full English breakfast was lovely , very obliging if you wanted something cooked a different way . Both my sister and I would stay there again .

Very comfortable beds. Slept wonderfully. Host accommodated a late check in as it was a last minute trip, and were also very friendly. Breakfast was delicious (although would have appreciated a menu or choice as both husband and I wouldn't have chosen different items on it!) Very good location and clean and tidy.

Only issue was others during the night. Thin walls, could hear everything.

The 2 guys that run it are brilliant the food was excellent the beds comfy & the rooms clean

Except for the fact no one was there when I arrived (they had emailed me but I hadn't seen it) It was a comfortable place to stay and breakfast was delicious. It was in a perfect location for my plans. The owners were very friendly.

Really welcoming and very friendly throughout. Obliging when I requested early breakfast so I could leave early on my last day.

I booked it on line looked nice. Once we got there .carpets had a stain .paint looked luke it was chipped of. Single beds i wanted a double bed.beds not appearing to be safe.we paid a deposit 85 pounds.we didnt even stay there.the landlird of jasmine didnt offer us a deposit back.

Very helpful and friendly would stay again and recommend to family and friends no rush to leave very good hosts 10 out of 10

Everything was good. From check in to check out I have no complaints. The guy who was there was very friendly. Didn’t have the breakfast as I didn’t get up in time but it did smell good!!

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were tasty and generous. Beds comfortable.

The owner was first class and willing to help with carrying my luggage etc. The property is on a busy side street. With major gas works being carried out during my stsy. This work caused the footpath to be closed which meant i had to cross the road and dodge the traffic and the parked cars ( i am waiting for a replacment knee so i found it difficilt, in swapping footpaths) but dont be put off with this the work is due to be finished in two weeks. The property is only a short walk to the beach front and the various pubs/restaurants.

Chap who ran Jasmine guest house was very nice and welcoming. The place needs a lot of tlc and better breakfast options. The food quality was really poor.
