Parking was an issue for us as we parked quite a fair distance away a good 10mins walk. We were in room 19 which was right up in the roof space. Room was nice and had everything needed - but the floor was super squeaky. If your tall 6ft you'll need a bump hat as some beams are low in bathroom an room. The location was superb right on the front an over all the hotel was ok.

check in was fast and easy, but this place is has no facilities at all, the bar area is now reception, its like a glorified youth hostel room was OK if a little grubby, wooden floors clearly not been swept for a while bathroom the same. its definitely not Grand and would not use again,

Last minute booking to stay one night. Rooms a little tired but clean. Bed was comfy had a good night's sleep. Good communication with owner. Very limited parking at the hotel.

Upon check in our room didnt have toilet roll, it had only 1 coffee sachet, no sugar no milk etc. The rooms are grubby with filthy floors. The bed creaks but isnt too uncomfortable. We had a balcony room but only 1 of us could use it as it was so small with barely enough room for 1 chair, it also felt unsafe due to the camber. The shower pressure was non existent, it chooses its own temperature to trickle at and the cubicle is tiny. You need to unplug the small kettle snd carry the whole thing, cord and all, to fill it up. The tv has no channels, every station shows no signal. Theres a funky dirty grease smell but that could be coming from the kfc across the road. No bar facilities.

We went here in July and it wasn’t bad but not great . We are a young couple with no kids . We drove to skeggy and booked this hotel as it said free parking .. there was only 3 spots that was all taken! Then I tried to call them to ask where we park and it takes you to a 3rd party call Center and not the hotel! And he just told me to go in and ask . When I asked about parking they said they don’t know and if it’s full they can’t Do anything ! So we had to go pay for parking a 5 min walk away which wasn’t great! The tv didn’t have a remote either which was very frustrating. But other than all that it was okay . The bed was comfy and the room was clean but we won’t be back unfortunately. If you don’t drive and want a cheep break away it’s not bad honestly as the location is perfect

I don’t like the stairs they were very steep the bed was very small for a double the bathroom was tiny very hard to get past sink for the shower for a large person the towels were rock hard. The staff were great the breakfast was top notch very hot and well cooked

Nicely kind owners, clean room and a breakfast is avalible,only problem is there are problems if you use a wheelchair or a stick because there are steps upto rooms and no lift or stair lift.

Generally clean and basic however we had an elderly relative who had terrible time getting up two flights of stairs We had stayed here before and it had a chair lift - this was not a good place fur anyone with mobility problems !

The beds was freshly made, but thats all i would say, the room itself wasnt or hadn't been cleaned in a while with the build up of dust and particles of crumbs that was under the chairs and beds, no hot water facilities, no toilet roll..... a total disgrace for the price they are charging, would never go there again....... if i hadn't of had my granson with us, i would have been tempted to sleep in my car...... was awake most of the night due to uncomfortable beds and itching all night, so im hoping they didn't have bed bugs...... if you have sense avoid this place like the plague......

Only saw one member of staff on arrival never to be seen again . The room had wall paper hanging off the mirror on the wall had a screw half hanging our ready to cut your leg they had put old and tatty cushions on the bed's ermm no thanks the tea spoon for making coffee was not washed properly the shower had mold growing in it .. there were what looked to be old drink staines splaterd on the wall .. the window catches were so dirty I didn't want to touch at all .. the lock on the room door was so on the p**s the key wouldn't fit and turn properly the bathroom door would only close if yanked it hard as it didn't fit the door frame properly.. the toilet was a constant drip .. the beds were clean with fresh sheets and were comfortable.. everything else was a let down.. oh and I went to put something on the bathroom shelf above the sink and it rolled straight off it ... It was like a night in faulty tower's. ..with out the staff

No staff available on arrival, need to ring and wait for someone to turn up, lady very nice when she did arrive, communal areas were dirty and had a bad smell. Room and bed was clean, although unable to open any windows as they had extra layer of safety glass in a wooden frame screwed over existing window. Very noisy from other rooms, shower dreadful trickle of water. Booked last minute , quality is reflected in the price, would not stay again.

Poor accommodation,room was stifling hot with no air at all,the shower didn’t work properly,barely a trickle of water,2 sockets for kettle and tv and the only other sockets were located behind the bed where you can’t reach without completely moving the bed,the bins were not changed at all during a week stay and I had to ask for the towels to be changed,the bed and bed linen were clean.There was only 1 toilet roll for 2 people for a week so I had to buy some myself,I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again or I wouldn’t recommend it.

Triple room was lovely, bright and spacious. It was a shame the floor obviously hadn't been swept because cleanliness is really important as a first impression. Clean white bed linen and fabulous swan sculpted towels were very nice. Bay window was enormous with amazing views so it was disappointing that one of the two window chairs was broken and and not replaced when reported. However, staff were friendly, attentive and communicated well, which really made the stay feel comfortable. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for the night and was ok. Shower had no pressure and hot water didn’t work in the morning. There is no one on reception so had call the company to get someone to come and check us in. Overall not a great experience and wouldn’t come here again.

Although it was a busy Bank holiday weekend, the hotel was quiet, making for a peaceful nights sleep. The view from our top floor balcony was wonderful, the room was small but clean and tidy. A great, enjoyable and memorable 2 days.

The room was comfortable but the curtains did 🚭 thing to keep out the glaring lights , we expected this but they were so far away from the windows that they left huge gaps of light , as for the noise of ppl passing by shouting obscenities at the top of there lungs people obviously vomiting outside and the people in the next room screaming and smoking cannabis on the balcony all night it was sickening, tbh we were quoted £67 for the night but ended up paying £98 witch was a rip off , it was a treat for my 3yr old Granddaughter, but she was so upset we just left the next morning and won't be returning

The lady and gentlemen who work at the hotel are amazing very helpful, the room i was first given had a fault which kept me awake all night with the noise (not the hotels fault these things happen), the next morning as soon as i reported it to the lady on reception, i was moved into another room which was very spacious and clean, enjoyable stay thank you.

I appreciate a new couple have recently took over and they agreed to give us a new room because there was two drips / leaks in our "sea view" room just to left of main bed. But then wanting to adress it straight away, the intercom was being ignored and waiting over 20 min in lobby to request the new room someone finally came and checked our room and come with an offer of a back room. Allthough bearly adequate came with no view and was inferior, but no compensation was offtered other than an apology. Maybe a free breakfast at least seeing as i had to pay for it on top Breakfast was ok (BEING GENEROUS) but absolutely no customer service other than here you go when it was brought out.. no one was ever seen again even though we spent a good 20+ minutes in there. We then left the breakfast area and went to the room and packed and left. Again never seeing anyone again... so guys, if you read this, spend more time with your guests and attend to them much quicker and dont keep ignoring the intercom until you feel you can come, especially when you indicate the reception is manned full time to 10pm.. shouldnt really keep guests waiting like that..
I appreciate a new couple have recently took over and they agreed to give us a new room because there was two drips / leaks in our "sea view" room just to left of main bed. But then wanting to adress it straight away, the intercom was being ignored and waiting over 20 min in lobby to request the new room someone finally came and checked our room and come with an offer of a back room. Allthough bearly adequate came with no view and was inferior, but no compensation was offtered other than an apology. Dont bother.theres no daily cleaning ect. Had to ask for toilet roll and more tea and milk.There isnt breakfast and no reception staff unless you call a number listed in so called reception.

From the moment we had to wait for staff to turn up to check us in (20 mins) later and after i had to make a phone call , we got our keys. Well NoTowels No Quilt for bed, No milk, Dirty cups, the Bin was still full of Rubbish,absolutely disgusting. Went down to Reception to find no one about.I sent a message to let someone know, reply was sorry someone will be with you soon.Everything was put right. We decided to go out but when we came back we found the fiŕe alarm was going off and people stood outside.I went inside the hotel to look for a member of staff but to my amazement no one was there and this is when all of the guest found out that nobody stayed onsite overnite at all, WHAT !!! We as paying guests then had to get intouch with who we thought was owner, only to be told someone would be with us in 30mins. We then had to ring 999 for Emergency service and told them about the alarm and that no management were on site to check the building or turn the alarm off. £50 Damages was charged upon arrival not mentioned when booking, i think they should be giving all the guests a £50 compensation back for the stress caused and a full refund for all the inconvenience caused and unsatisfactory state of property. Beautiful views from balcony though. Don't stay at THE GRAND HOTEL SKEGNESS.

No staff available on arrival, need to ring and wait for someone to turn up, lady very nice when she did arrive, communal areas were dirty and had a bad smell. Room and bed was clean, although unable to open any windows as they had extra layer of safety glass in a wooden frame screwed over existing window. Very noisy from other rooms, shower dreadful trickle of water. Booked last minute , quality is reflected in the price, would not stay again.

There is no reception and a young man taking a deposit of £50 for breakages. Its supposidly refunded on leaving but 5 days later not received. The building is simply a shell. The rooms are adequate for one night but not partic comfy or inviting. The rooms were fairly clean but the bathroom needed a deep clean as there was grime around the seals which gave a dirty look. Windows didnt open temperature was stifling. Hall and stair carpets were disgusting. No dining room which had been stacked up and closed. Inadequate lighting outside and quite a threatening feeling on entering the empty building. It felt as though it was being prepped for alternative use.

Parking was an issue for us as we parked quite a fair distance away a good 10mins walk. We were in room 19 which was right up in the roof space. Room was nice and had everything needed - but the floor was super squeaky. If your tall 6ft you'll need a bump hat as some beams are low in bathroom an room. The location was superb right on the front an over all the hotel was ok.

Not very clean, no wi fi, breakfast very poor, no house keeping same towels all of stay only 1 toilet roll, no bins emptied no stair lift in situ as stated extremely not suitable for elderly or limited ability’s and not happy about the slug in the room that had crawled all over the suitcase, my handbag and anything else it fancied. Certainly would not recommend to anyone very dissatisfied!

I don’t like the stairs they were very steep the bed was very small for a double the bathroom was tiny very hard to get past sink for the shower for a large person the towels were rock hard. The staff were great the breakfast was top notch very hot and well cooked

Service from the gentleman was great very obliging, breakfast was inedible and most of it cold, the room was dated and not the cleanist floor could have done with a good hoover and mop, hotel is trying to bring in more customers but is bringing in the wrong type, good do with the hotel inpsector paying a visit..

Firstly, we arrived and there was no parking despite booking with parking, after about 45 minutes of customer services the receptionist came out and we had the leave our car in the alley way, this did not feel secure. Room was filthy, no furniture that was fit for purpose (old broken and not what was pictured on the advert). The windows were broken so wouldn’t close, which we normally wouldn’t mind but the room next to us sat on their balcony all day chain smoking and coughing. The shower hardly worked so no hair washes. Rooms around us were very loud- dogs marking, talking load, thudding foot steps (day and night- I mean almost all night!) we expect some noise but this was horrendous. Breakfast was shocking to the point we didn’t bother. Customer service was transparent and no where to be seen to raise any complaints.

This is an old hotel. The rooms are clean and there have been upgrades but it is still very basic. The mattresses are foam and are fairly comfy, bedding and towels were clean and fresh. Tea tray was fine. The gentleman running the reception was very helpful. Shampoo, body wash and soaps were provided. Overall fine for the cost, although wouldn't want to stay more than one or two nights.

My friend and I booked a twin room for 2 nights but we only stayed 1 cause the whole place stank, it was truly unbearable. I had to walk to my room covering my nose cause the smell was sickening.
