Very close to reef terminal for tours. I loved the fact that towels were available as well as a free laundry facility. Staff is often not at the desk but they are often watching CCTV that covers the front desk and come when needed. It is very clean, towels are nice, location is close to many restaurants. They are well organized and check in went well. The rooms are serviced every other day routinely. They did forget my bath towels after service but this was minor in my opinion as you can get your own.

The room was terrific. And we LOVED the complimentary espresso/coffee bar. PERFECTLY located to everything. Walking the marina and evening activities. Staff was very happy and accommodating. Only slight drawback was I wish there was more than one washer and dryer. But just a minor thing. Yiu will love this place!

It is a small hotel. No onsite restaurant, but plenty of decent cafes and restaurants nearby. Free coffee and biscuits in the lounge. Very clean. Everything works as it should. Staff are helpful. There is no specific left luggage room, just a space underneath the stairs. Shower was good in my room. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

Room was nice size,clean, nicely decorated, bed was comfortable with nice sheets. We especially liked the free espresso/coffee machine in the very pleasant lounging area for hotel guests as well as free laundry facilities!! Oh..and the complimentary bottle of wine!!

Exceptionally clean and well-maintained hotel, with exceptionally nice staff. Location is brilliant, easy walk to shops, restaurants, esplanade and lagoon (and casino if anybody wants that). It has a beautiful coffee room on level 1 which is available free to guests, e.g., to do office or computer work. Points of caution: 1. There is no parking, but it is close to the public car park attached to the Hilton Hotel. Parking there costs $30 per night, plus a little more if you park there during the day. You just pay with a bank card each time you go out. The combination still works out substantially cheaper than other hotels of comparable quality. There is a lot of street parking near the hotel, but it is generally impossible to find a spot during the day, any day. 2. The windows in the rooms don't open, so fumes build up over time and cannot disperse.

The room was great and all the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and offers good amenities like free coffee and water in a nice lounge and a free washer and dryer for guests to use.

Nice coffee machine available. Was able to do some laundry although limited hours and dryer didn’t work so well. Walkable distance to boarding the boats for scuba/snorkel day trips.

We loved the location, it was nearby everything we needed to see in our 3-day stay in Cairns. The view was pretty lame because our room window was right in front of where 5-6 A/C condensers were placed, so we couldn't see anything. Our sheet cleanliness was questionable because it was stained. Bathroom was fine, however the shower glass door was poorly designed and after every shower the outside floor was flooded. It was quiet though, bed comfort was ok, and room was spacious. Free water, coffee, and snacks in the common area were a nice plus. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Super helpful and friendly staff, who were very accomodating with us arriving an hour early and a late checkout. Exceptionally clean, good coffee in communual lounge. Good restaurants very nearby. Highly recommend and would definitley staff again.

I arrived to a toddler at the front desk, with the attendant trying to tame the child, opposed to delivering a welcome. The room did not match the pictures on the website and the full price was not in line with the standard of the room. I had to use a blanket from the clothes cupboard during my stay, which had a number of small insect/bugs/ants on it.

This is a terrific place if you're here to tour what Cairns has to offer. Easy walk to the ferry terminal, the lagoon and shopping. The room was large enough and extremely dark and quiet for sleeping. Great free coffee option on the first floor. Shower was amazing. Only serviced every second day and a little forgetful on room stocks, however fixed when asked a few times. Thanks to the team.

The hotel has some really excellent aspects and others that could be improved. Very positive aspects: check-in communication outside regular hours, speed and organization of the check-in process, the fantastic tea and coffee room (the coffee was excellent), bottled water always available, toiletries, and the hotel’s location. Area for improvement: I stayed in room 202, which is spacious and has great potential, but it had an unpleasant smell… of dust, stale air… I believe the curtains should be replaced (they were damaged) and the carpet cleaned. In short, I think with a thorough deep cleaning the room could really improve, because it has all the potential.

Staff was nice, rooms were clean. Came during a very hot week and the AC worked differently. We were on the third floor in the middle of the building and there was a noticeable difference between 2nd and 3rd floor and even at the ends of cooridor. This may not be an issue when weather is less extreme. We didn’t love the neighborhood, but walkable to some shops and the dock where many boats leave for Great Barrier Reef tours.

Great hospitality - particularly enjoyed the guest lounge with free coffee station and biscuits. Easy to communicate with staff Highlight for us would be the convenience to other shops etc + great TV conveniently located to enjoy a Netflix + chill. Wasn’t as soundproof as I hoped as I could clearly hear doors close and convo’s in the hallway from the room.

Easy check in. Clean room, housekeeping every two days which is fine for us. Comfortable bed, great pressure in shower. Only issue is ac wasn’t efficiently working and was difficult to tell anyone as desk was not manned when I thought about telling them. We survived. Overall a great stay, great location, quiet.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Fantastic Stay at The Abbott Boutique Hotel! I recently stayed (6 days) at The Abbott Boutique Hotel and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable which made the stay all the more comfortable. It's also incredibly quiet and soundproof, providing the perfect escape from the bustle of the city. The hotel provided a fancy coffee machine and a cosy lounge area for all hotel guests, which added a wonderful touch of comfort and convenience. The hotel's location is superb—right in the heart of everything and close to the esplanade, fig tree playground, cairns central and wharf. The staff were some of the best I've encountered! They were not only friendly but also went above and beyond to be helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. Super helpful and friendly staff, who were very accomodating with us arriving an hour early and a late checkout. Exceptionally clean, good coffee in communual lounge. Good restaurants very nearby. Highly recommend and would definitley staff again.

We loved our stay at Abbott. The location was perfect, the lounge was comfortable, our room was spacious and had good amenities and the staff was super friendly. It is also the nicest smelling hotel we have ever stayed in!

Our stay at the Abbott Boutique Hotel was wonderful! We were greeted by Peter who is the Manager of hotel... what an incredibly efficient, but funny man; who along with our NZ friends; enjoyed his fabulous banter every day. Peter, not only assisted us with booking tours; he could also direct us in the right direction for great food options The hotel's cleaners are to be congratulated; the rooms were very clean! This hotel is central to pretty much all of the sights around Cairns..Highly recommend

Easy check in. Clean room, housekeeping every two days which is fine for us. Comfortable bed, great pressure in shower. Only issue is ac wasn’t efficiently working and was difficult to tell anyone as desk was not manned when I thought about telling them. We survived. Overall a great stay, great location, quiet.

The thing that made this hotel stand out was the incredible man at the front desk. He was so helpful, friendly, and caring that it felt like we were his houseguests rather than just passing through a hotel. The only hitch is to be sure you understand the instructions if you need to check in late - we missed an email from Expedia and were horrified to arrive to a locked door after a long day of travel (but of course the Abbott staff answered the phone and gave us instructions immediately!).

The lone staff member was very helpful, and very nice. She was accommodating, and assured we had everything we needed for our stay. We arrived early afternoon, and checked into our room fairly quickly. The laundry amenities were great! We were able to do our laundry right after we got to our room before we hit the town. Towels and bath soap were readily available for use. We had the ability to grab what we needed when we needed it. Check-out was convenient and very easy too. We were able to drop our key off since we had a very early flight. We enjoyed our stay overall, and were glad to have picked this location for our trip!

Although there isnt the views of the local area of other (higher) places nearby, the hotel looked very new with a great common area with free machine made coffee, free bottled and cold water and ice. The common area was large and bright and over looked the street and off set a small but comfortable room. Great location. Friendly staff.

It is a small hotel. No onsite restaurant, but plenty of decent cafes and restaurants nearby. Free coffee and biscuits in the lounge. Very clean. Everything works as it should. Staff are helpful. There is no specific left luggage room, just a space underneath the stairs. Shower was good in my room. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.
