The location of this property was ideal. It was close to all restaurants and ports. The closest parking facility was far away from the property. It was challenging to walk to property with luggage. The property felt more like a 3-star Airbnb than a 4-star hotel. The breakfast they offered was very poor quality. Housekeeping was poor quality. We were better off not having any housekeeping, they left dirty rags in the room and did not properly make bed.

This guest house is centrally located, just a two minute walk from the Piazza Tasso, the heart of Sorrento, with bustling night life and the best shopping in town right downstairs. The room itself is clean, recently refurbished with beautiful and modern conveniences, including efficient A/C and plenty of space. A small continental breakfast is included, served by a lovely lady who makes a wonderful cappuccino. The trickiest part about the Montefusco Relais is FINDING the place; the guest house is located along the Via San Cesareo on one side, and the Corso on the other. [Easiest way to get there: have a car/or taxi drop you next to the Restaurant Ercolano on the south edge of the Piazza Tasso; then walk 100 m down the pedestrian-only street.] Neither street permits car traffic, so you will have to pull your bag about 100 meters along the street to get to the hotel. The staff will helpfully assist you with your luggage, but you should be prepared for a 2 minute walk with luggage from the Piazza Tasso. We saw some negative reviews about noise from the night life below on the Corso – but it didn’t bother us! The rooms are well insulated, so little sound penetrated – and we loved the view from our balcony overlooking the Corso, and the fact that we could grab a late-evening drink in one of the many bars and cafes within a minute’s walking distance from the hotel. The best shopping in Sorrento, according to Fodor’s, is on the V. San Cesareo, right outside your door!

First let me say this, the Staff was great and very helpful. Second if you have a lot of luggage you will have to drag it on the cobble stone streets, as there are No cars allowed to drop you off in front of the hotel. Third, there is not an elevator and you will have to carry your luggage up three flights to get to the front desk. Now there is an elevator once you get into the reception area. Fourth, our room was right underneath a bar and people yelling until 3-4 in the morning. It was horrible!!! Fifth, the room was not what it looked like in the pictures, if I had to rate it between 1-5, it would be a 2. Good Luck

Incrível, é super bem localizado, bem no meio da Corso Italia e ao lado da Piazza Tosso, a principal. Não tem como chegar de carro, tivemos que descarregar proximo ao hotel e deixar o carro num estacionamento próximo. O quarto é muito limpo e com otimas instalações, banheiro muito espaçoso e limpo e o café da manhã é simples mas muito gostoso, com frutas frescas, frios e ovos cozidos. A equipe é bastante prestativa e simpática.muito bem recomendado.

The property contacted us beforehand to inform us that despite taking our booking they couldn't accommodate us without switching rooms during a 2 night stay. We accepted this as it was a late booking and the location is great, right in the historic pedestrianised town. They also offered complimentary mini bar. They fell down again though due to the facilities offered at this so-called '4* hotel'. It is not that at all. At best, this is a collection of a few apartments with few facilities. For example, there is no pool or terrace as advertised.We couldn't even leave our luggage at Reception for a few hours because it was closed between 12-4pm. And the downside of being in the town centre is that it is very noisy. Staff were friendly though.

Hotel is on a busy walking street so the location was great. When you get there you need to go up the stairs to find the place. Staff was fine, breakfast was ok but you can easily eat other places nearby. Felt safe. Sheets were stained but clean. Overall ok for the $$.

Atendimento incrível do Giuliano. Quarto confortável, bem localizado com muitos restaurantes em volta e bem perto do porto. Só se atentem pois os carros não chegam perto do hotel, então tem uma parte a ser andada, e com malas pode ser um desafio, apesar do hotel se disponibilizar a ajudar.

My family and I had a great time at this bed and breakfast place. It was walkable to everywhere in Sorrento. The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and our room was very clean.

The noise is horrible and we could not sleep at all since the windows were not closed properly. We were there for 2 nights so we just enjoy the surrounding that’s all but won’t go there again. The room floor was diagusting. Cleanliness is a zero on 10

I saw pics of the rooms before booking, but was still surprised at how spacious the room was in real life. The built-in sofa along the wall was perfect for lounging, the desk had ample room to work. Bathroom also very nice. Another highlight was the window, or, in my case, the balcony door: My room opened to a street below where crowds sang and talked until 2am, but: ZERO sound with the window shut - excellent soundproofing! The lobby and breakfast area are in the first upper floor, and you enter via a courtyard between the hotel and the hustle and bustle of the pedestrian shopping alley. I liked the room so much I ended up extending my stay.

The location of this hotel is perfect! The second you step out, you are surrounded by shops, restaurants, and the life of Sorrento. The kindness and hospitality was the best of all five hotels we stayed at during our tour of Italy. The room was clean, comfortable bed, plenty of space to spread out, and a lovely balcony. Many hotels provide breakfast, but this one includes cooked to order items and service with a smile. You do need to navigate some stairs to get up to the hotel, but if that is not a problem, this is a perfect place to stay. We would absolutely stay again!

Fantastic location with a great view over the Main Street. Very friendly and helpful staff and the room was clean and pleasant. Quite a small room without much room for luggage and the shower wasn’t great but these are small issues. Overall a great stay for the price and highly recommended.

Our 5-night stay in Sorrento at Palazzo Montefusco was exceptional! The city is beautiful and our visit was made even more special by staying at a hotel/B&B that took care of every detail. Staff were very helpful & attentive. They all genuinely take care of guests with a smile. The hotel is modern, comfortable and perfectly located in the heart of Sorrento. Even though it’s located on a busy shopping/restaurant street, the rooms are soundproof. Slept so well in a well-furnished and stylish room. Breakfast included everyday. Excellent quality and choice of food. Something for every taste. Perfect location - only steps away from tour bus pick-up’s. I just can’t say enough nice things about the concierge Giuliano and the breakfast attendant Anna. They exude joy and made us feel so welcome. A million thanks to the Montefusco team for making our stay so special & memorable in such a good way! Would definitely recommend staying here.

The room was a lot smaller than expected - the photos give you the presumption it will be a decent size. The hotel is sited above a bustling street which is quite noisy, as bars below are open until early hours of the morning. Decided to skip the breakfast after the 1st morning as the options are incredibly limited, leaving nothing edible available. Great location and lovely staff though.

Front Desk was awesome. Friendly and good information. Great Location, King Bed was comfortable. Room was a little on the tighter side with limited storage/hanging/closet space. Bathroom was larger and clean, more recently renovated. The breakfast was nice with great expresso/coffee.

Sorrento is not a huge town, but there are dozens of hotels. Staying right in the heart of the old city was so convenient. It can get noisy at times, but the location made all the difference for us. The ocean view is just down the street. The staff are more than accommodating. Always ready to help with bags or answer a question. Highly recommended.

The location of this hotel is perfect! The second you step out, you are surrounded by shops, restaurants, and the life of Sorrento. The kindness and hospitality was the best of all five hotels we stayed at during our tour of Italy. The room was clean, comfortable bed, plenty of space to spread out, and a lovely balcony. Many hotels provide breakfast, but this one includes cooked to order items and service with a smile. You do need to navigate some stairs to get up to the hotel, but if that is not a problem, this is a perfect place to stay. We would absolutely stay again!

We stayed for 4 nights in a 3 pax room - took some trips out of Sorrento to Amalfi coast and to Capri. Great location - right on the busiest shopping and restaurant street. Great ice cream right nextdoor Our room was very clean and nice, window facing to a narrow side street.No noise came through - quiet room. Breakfast was very simple but covers the basic need. If desired plenty of cafes right around the corner. Shower had very low water pressure and water in the sink it did not want to run down. Hotel reception was not able to help with any guidance or information to get around the area or find a good guide / company for private trips. With few adjustments I’d give top rating.

This was not a good experience at Palazzo Montefusco. Our room was directly over a bar and we were unable to sleep until about 1 am. We complained and after 2 nights, we were moved to Palazzo Tritone which was fabulous. The hotel failed to provide a price reduction for the 2 nights of poor sleep; and worse, in checking my credit card statement I noticed an additional charge of $251, even though I had prepaid for the rooms.

Right from even before we checked in, the concierge reached out to check on our arrival time and when we were delayed for many hours, they accommodated our check in time and kept in communication. Staff were very helpful, this boutique hotel was super cute and right in the middle of everything. Continental breakfast was wonderful (and included), the bed was comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

The property felt more like a 3-star Airbnb than a 4-star hotel. The breakfast they offered was very poor quality. Housekeeping was poor quality. We were better off not having any housekeeping, they left dirty rags in the room and did not properly make bed.

Incrível, é super bem localizado, bem no meio da Corso Italia e ao lado da Piazza Tosso, a principal. Não tem como chegar de carro, tivemos que descarregar proximo ao hotel e deixar o carro num estacionamento próximo. O quarto é muito limpo e com otimas instalações, banheiro muito espaçoso e limpo e o café da manhã é simples mas muito gostoso, com frutas frescas, frios e ovos cozidos. A equipe é bastante prestativa e simpática.muito bem recomendado.

The hotel was centrally located on a busy walk only crowded alley but hidden with a beautiful courtyard. The street below was filled with small shops with many people browsing and shopping. The hotel was quiet despite the crowded street below. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend a stay.

The twins beds are horrible don’t even consider them beds more like patio bench. The breakfast was great, staff was good and the rooms were clean. Would be wonderful for if not needing the twin beds but travelling with family those were the worst things to sleep on

Our 5-night stay in Sorrento at Palazzo Montefusco was exceptional! The city is beautiful and our visit was made even more special by staying at a hotel/B&B that took care of every detail. Staff were very helpful & attentive. They all genuinely take care of guests with a smile. The hotel is modern, comfortable and perfectly located in the heart of Sorrento. Even though it’s located on a busy shopping/restaurant street, the rooms are soundproof. Slept so well in a well-furnished and stylish room. Breakfast included everyday. Excellent quality and choice of food. Something for every taste. Perfect location - only steps away from tour bus pick-up’s. I just can’t say enough nice things about the concierge Giuliano and the breakfast attendant Anna. They exude joy and made us feel so welcome. Não basta ter funcionários extremamente atenciosos para que um hotel seja classificado como quatro estrelas. Quarto novo, porém o chão do box estava bem sujo! Chuveiro caindo muito pouca água. Ficamos uma noite praticamente sem água no banheiro e ela não esquentava. Café da manhã com poucas opções. Localização central, porém pelo fato de ser uma área histórica, os carros não chegam na porta. Prédio histórico com muitos lances de escada. A equipe ajuda com a bagagem.

The breakfast was a welcome surprise as I wasn't aware it was included. Unfortunately the WiFi didn't work due to a storm the day before we arrived but it didnt impact our stay. You do have to lug your cases up quite a few flights of stairs to get to reception ( there is a lift from reception up to the rooms but not from the ground floor). Overall it was a great stay and would return if visiting Sorrento again.
